We visited the beach as a family, but with 2 dogs in June. Before visiting, we checked if there was a dog-friendly beach. I didn't understand just how large the beach front is, so the diagrams don't do it justice. The dog-friendly parts were basically at each end of the main beach, away from civilisation, and to be honest, it felt like we weren't welcome. Lots of beach for people, lots of beach not being used by people - we went on a hot summer day which was quite busy. Plus side, the road train started at the leisure centre where the dog beach is situated, so we could hop on it on the way back.

Lovely sandy beach with lots of sea shells. When the tide is out it goes out for what seems mile's way past the pier. The beach is very clean. in the evening fisherman are sat in the beach fishing for local fish as a hobby.Their fishing rods all balanced on a sort of tripod. The beach.is sand no stones or pebbles like many other beaches.its very pleasant

The beach stretches along cleethorpes sea front. There isn't much in the way of a fair ground, But there is a well known mini train that you can ride on. Its a good place for families and the kids will love the sandy beach, making sand castles.

Very clean and tidy quite beach, was abit chilly today, but plenty of layers on and all is well... Even had the donkeys out which was nice for the little on to see Next to no litter at all which is great to see, gets a fresh rake by the tractor I think every morning so really helps! Great nice gentle walk and plenty of room as the tide goes really out too πŸ‘ŒπŸΌ

When the beach is in this is a great beach! But when it goes out (and I mean out!!!) There are better beaches. At the top, the sand is beautifully soft and clean. But below the highwater line, the sand is covered in a muddy, smelly in places and goes on for miles. I think the low water point must be about a 1Β½ miles away. The amusements and shops above the beach are brilliant and covers everything that everyone will need. There's parking right on the road (be early) and also near the train station. There's toilets near the prom and train station. It's overall a great beach and everything you need for a good day out and would have got 5* if the mud wasn't there. Its not picky just saying if you went there and experienced it, it might spoil your day if someone hadn't mentioned it.

Northern small town sea front, nice feeling, people very friendly. Lovely when the sun is out, long beach front, land train, plenty of tea rooms and couple of crazy golf to occupy the young ones. Worth a visit.

I didn't really know what to expect when we went to this beach. Having read the reviews, it was hard to say whether we were even going to a beach. However, all things considered it is a beach and we did enjoy it. It is different to your standard beach, this is a main estuary and the tide goes out a long way giving you way more things to do than a normal beach. Today was one of the hottest days of the year and the water flowing into the sea was warm enough to be enjoyable, although once it entered the sea, you did feel the real temperature. Cleethorpes does not have a sophisticated pleasure beach, with advanced rides, it has three or four antiquated rides on the beach. Nostalgic but nothing to write home about. With current social distancing, we were able to find a nice spot and, could easily have stayed there and done nothing else. However, walking down over the mud into the sand dunes and into the sea, is something that needs to be experienced to be appreciated. Parking is on the main road overlooking the beach. By the time we got there this was full, but there are overflow car parks that charge 5.00 for the day. All in all a good day and plenty to do so do not knock it until you have tried it.

This place wasn’t busy probably because the weather was little low. You will have plenty of Fish & Chips options. Plenty of gifts stores around.

Great beach, deck chair hire available too, dog friendly & really nice area too. Check the tide times as it can quickly change here it caught us off guard a couple of times, great walk and great for families, plenty of beach shops & ice creams along the promenade too.

The best beach on the East Coast. There’s always a reason this area wins the Blue Flag Award. Sat near a ramp that takes you back to the car park. Never far from ice cream stands, arcades and the toilets. Also you can hire deckchairs nearby as well at a very reasonable rate. Highly recommend to come here for people watching and relaxing. Great for kids as well.

Lovely beach. Got some nice things around for the kids and for adults. Plenty of arcades with many different types of games. Ice creams and fish and chip shops. Also candy floss and doughnut stalls. A lovely pier and plenty of parking around.

Lovely beach to visit, lots and lots of shells to pick of the sand, opposite the pier there is a resort hub, very helpful and friendly staff and they have 2 incredible chairs to lend you free of charge to get wheelchair users onto the beach πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘ we made use of that and Kenzie loved it 😘

A lovely, sunny, and fun day out for the family. The beach was relatively clean and quite busy, but it was Sunday. Nice choice for that traditional seaside resort experience, and parking was brilliant and only a few minutes from the beach. Will definitely visit again and is only an hour and half drive from home.

Great space and vista for an early morning stroll in the sunshine. Beach looked pristine. You can't beat the smell of freshly cooked doughnuts and the nostalgic sounds echoing from the slotties. Only criticism is the footpaths need a deep clean.

It is a clean and peaceful place, family friendly. I visited in August for a weekend and on the Saturday the tide was low such that the water was so far away it’s almost like a desert with a long stretch of sand. On the Sunday howethere was a lot of water and we could bathe at the shore. It was peaceful and family friendly.

Nice beach as u have all the shops nearby, however many of them ask for cash only. If you want to get wet , no chance to see the sea close by… it will get dark by the time you wait for the tied

Went for a little visit with the family. Not a massive amount to do here but okay for a couple of hours. Weather was nice so was able to go on the beach too. Which was clean without any litter at all really. Not too busy neither. Plenty of space. Sand is of a nice texture too and able to be walked on barefooted too. No dogs are allowed on the beach though unfortunately. Lots of seagulls around so beware and watch your food! All in all was an enjoyable visit for us all.

Great beach! Lots of arcades and some very aimed at young kids. Beach not too bad. I know.its hard ti keep beats clean. But you loose a star due to how much glass I had to pick up. 1 piece was a whole wine bottle base and was stuck with a huge point going up. That would have been so dangerous had it been stood on. Lots of amazing shells!

For us the experience was mixed. unfortunately the majority of the beach dogs are not allowed. We walked quite a long way to find a place where we could take our dog we had to wade through sludge. The main part of the beach is lovely with lots of facilities around e.g. shops, cafes, toilets, children's rides, Ice cream stalls and donkeys. It can be busy at weekends and school holidays.

The brunt of many a comedians jokes Cleethorpes Beach is not half as bad as you think. Stretching all the way from Wonderland (which used to have a wild mouse type roller coaster and a galloping horses carousel when I was a child) to the boating lake and Meridian Park. With children's rides on the beach, stalls selling rock, ice cream, mussels etc amusement arcades fish and chips on the pier, crazy golf, waterfalls, Ross Castle viewpoint, indoor pool & leisure centre, a cinema, boating lake and a minature railway it has a lot going for it. Minus a star as it is not really the sea but the tidal river Humber which at low tide can disappear on the horizon. If you're tempted to walk to the old sea forts, think again as the fast incoming tides can be treacherous.

sand. lots of sand. there was also a bird. It stole my rotisserie chicken and then my cooking implements. although I guess that isn't the beach's fault. It's a good beach and there's crabs sometimes. Bye.

Such a beautiful place! Parking close to the beach, plenty of shops, delicious food. It was busy as we visited on a Saturday but it wasn't crowded, the beach is really big, plenty of space to comfort everyone. There are steps to get down on the beach and also a ramp for pushchair or wheelchair. On the down side...we couldn't find any public toilets. There is one in the train station but closes in the afternoon and one at a pub that allows use for a fee.

Cleethorpes excellent place to visit, loads to do, nice walk along the sea front I live 2 mins away it never gets tiring, loads of cafe's arcades, a happy train( lollypop train) that runs along seafront from the pier to the boating lake, bus service from the pier that runs in summer from pier to Thorpe Park which is a open topper, offering great views of the sea front and more , best to get a day rider, or family day rider as if you are staying on the caravan park and have small children you can take them on the open topper or any other bus all day works out much cheaper, donkey rides, crazy golf, there is even a place called ebb and flo, that will teach you to paddleboard and hires everything you need, very reasonable priced lovely pier gardens to walk round and a boating lake, waterfall, miniature steamtrain, Ross Castle, could go on and on, there's plenty of parking on seafront but gets very busy in summer watch cars when parking on front as there high curbs and you will scrape your bumper if pull to far forward

Very fresh today, not that many people about on the 22nd of November Following lockdown on the 5th. But a bit of exercise walking up and down the front, keeping 2mts apart.

Brilliant, for the first time I could see the sea up close without having to walk a marathon πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ not crowded and the usual amusrments plus donkeys all there to use. Great beach for shell collecting or simply watching the boats go to and from Grimsby and Imminghan. Lots of eateries alongside the north prom

We had a wonderful morning in Cleethorpes. when we arrived the sea was in. I don't think I've ever seen in that far in before. We had a lovely time, arriving about 9am when it was really quiet we did all the usual seaside things and left just after lunch when it was getting busy. If you go to the slots to the left of the pier and win tokens you can spend them in the slots over to the right but the machines to the right aren't as good. (We only do 2p slots). As we left the sea was back out as far as possible as is usual ant there was loads of space on the beach which was good as it was getting very busy on the prom. Practical info. β˜†Most people weren't wearing masks in the slots but were in the shops. β˜†There was hand sanitiser everywhere. β˜†The toilets in the station were closed but the central ones were open and free. β˜†Cafes on the front were well planned and laid out to keep people safe. β˜†Shops were regulating people going in and ensuring baskets were clean so we had to queue at Boyses

Excellent beach of sand and some shingle with easy close by parking. Kids will love it but the sea can be a fair distance away when the tide is out. As for the rest of Cleethorpes, its kind of like an afterbirth of Skegness that time forgot.

For anybody that likes walking, Cleethorpes is just the ticket. It has a promenade stretching from one end to the other, places along the way to stop off and have a bite to eat and a drink or ice creams, clean beach and paddling pools - great for youngsters.

Nice long beach. Can get very busy during warm summer months certainly near the prom. Best to venture down to the caravan park site where the beach is quieter. Although there aren't many shops down that end it's very peaceful.
