Fun place to play on your MTB. The trails are decent and well looked after though not particularly difficult. I looked at some videos before going and they didn't do the place justice, glad I went. It's a great place to start a ride from too as a warm up we did the 2 trails before seeing of to Stanage Edge. Free parking there too!

Great fun for any ability. There's wide, gentle, fire trails as well as the two marked routes, both of which can be tackled by novices and juniors if they roll the jumps. But enough berms, rocks and bumps to make it fun for the more experienced, too. Nothing I couldn't handle on a retro, fully rigid mtb, anyway (along with this Retro rider!) Plenty more trails to explore, nearby, too (see the pic)

Great well kept trails, but gets busy at the weekend, with many slow older people or little kids, as it is very easy to get to from sheffield. This can dampen the experience a little, but still a nice flowing trail. There are currently 2 downhill trails, with an easy push up track back to the top.

Brilliant trails, few fallen trees on Blue run but I'm sure they'll be cleared as soon as possible. Perfect Mountain bike trails and you can extend the adventure onto the moors of the Peak District with Longshaw Estate not too far a trek.

Great mountain bike spot - Blue Steel will have you grinning from ear to ear. The faster you go, the harder it gets. Cooking on Gas will have your heart and legs pumped by the end, but is great for dialling in techniques. Parking here is a great place to start and finish a loop out into the peaks, with a pub just past the car park. The woods and moors are a great place for dogs, walkers, runners, horses and motos on houndkirk pass. Watch out for the peaty black bogs if you're walking puppers on the moors!!

Decent trail for beginners, would love to see more trails built up there. I found the main problem was the trails arnt steep enough so required a lot of peddling to keep up speed. Great effort though, really enjoyed.

Nice walk with a few downhill trails, nothing too technical but good place to start from to access loads more routes

Stunning! Amazing scenery and perfect for an adventure in the countryside with your MTB. Trails are in great condition and perfect for a quick zoom around. Then if your feeling more adventurous head out the gates and up into the peaks!

Great for a blast or two of an evening or as part of a route. The Ride Sheffield group have done a great job and continue the upkeep with donations and volunteer support. Great job!

Lovely setting, amazing for mountain biking. Nice picturesque walk for well behaved dogs but may be difficult/stressful if your dogs recall isn't sharp as can be very busy with bikes. Short walk to Eastern Moors and Oxstones better for dogs off lead but very muddy.

Great couple of man made trails making excellent use of the land. Also good starting point to venture off into the local area for natural riding

2 main trails down the hill which are great fun. Flowing with lots of whoops and berms. Not far from various other good cycling routes as well so good for either a quick blast or a longer day out on your mountain bike.

Very well maintained MRB trail in a stunning location. Great for confident children to more advanced adult riders. Safe location away from roads. Well marked out trail. Lots of fun!

Great couple of trail runs with the open to get out and about into the Peaks

Cracking place for experienced rides and newbies alike. Yes it's only a blue (an easy blue at that) it's not got the gnarr of the Peaks or Wharncliffe or the gaps of Greno but its a fun couple of tracks that you can intro people to MTB'ing on. You can make it more extreme by trying to get down as quick as you can, the trees suddenly become a lot closer. It's also a good place to set your bike up on or use as a warm up before going down Jumble road on to Devils etc. Ride Sheffield and the volunteers do a great job at battling the constant erosion of berms jumps etc. Power to them 🤜🤛 Go on get out there and ride it, if youre a seasoned rider, see how quick you can stick 3 laps of Blue Steel in up and down! Also look out for the odd rave up there a couple of times a year, funny stuff!

2 really fun trails - ideal for beginners and intermediate MTB riders. Free car park is always a bonus!

Two very well made mtb tracks. Alot of fun. And the more you ride them the better they get.

Surface a little tired (Oct 2022), but fun blue graded trails suitable for beginner riders. Nice easy climb to make repeated laps enjoyable.

  • 5/5 Ed M. 3 years ago on Google
Cracking spot for all from beginner to advanced. Also can be linked nicely into local bridal ways and further if you have the fitness. If you like the trails, consider dropping a few quid to Ride Sheffield to help with the upkeep.

My ten year old son on his BMX loves this place. Great fun!!

  • 4/5 rob n. 1 year ago on Google
Great trails for beginners. The longer trail needs some TLC very bumpy! Watch out for walkers the signage top and bottom is rubbish so nobody knows it's a bike trail.

  • 5/5 john c. 6 months ago on Google
Great for local trails, probably not worth driving huge distance for. The up and coming maintenance on the blue will really be good, it very cut up now.

  • 5/5 Andy G. 4 months ago on Google
Good well kept trails, really enjoyed riding them

  • 5/5 Lee B. 3 years ago on Google
Love this place, great for beginners and the more experienced rider. Everyone is always polite and I have never seen any litter.. Big thumbs up to all that maintain this excellent place.. Got to laugh at all the comments about the ride back to the top 😂😂 it is the PEAK District..

Favourite place at the moment for challenging berms, flat corners and beginner jumps at full throttle!

  • 5/5 dean G. 3 years ago on Google
Great trail, not difficult but enough to push the more adventurous riders.

  • 5/5 Brandon C. 3 years ago on Google
There are two great trails, one harder than the other. Those were the first proper trails I have ever been on and the easier one was fine just take it slower because there are rollable jumps just make sure you're going rolling speed so you don't get thrown off your bike. The other one definitely requires more technical skill.

Two descents, not long but easy to fit in a few laps for a quick fun ride, or extend with loads of nearby classic natural peaks trails. Trails hold up well in poor weather.

  • 5/5 Jason J. 3 years ago on Google
Great for mountain biking for beginners, the only downside is limited parking.

  • 5/5 Andrew F. 3 years ago on Google
Loved this place, there are two tracks through the forest. One more extreme than the other in my view. So as you get to the top of the path leading to the start I'd go left first.

2 routes at this location. Blue steel and cooking on gas, this was my first ever attempt at trails and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Cooking on gas better for novices, more experience required for blue steel.
