I had to cancel an appointment. Rang the booking office and told them I couldn't make my physio appointment as I had tested positive for Covid. A few day after I received a letter from them accusing me of not turning up for my appointment. They also wrote to my doctor's surgery (so now on its on my medical records). I phoned the Booking Office to complain and the person I talked to said "I'll put you back on the list"!! I thought the person I talked to must have been the same one I spoke to when I cancelled. Your Booking Office needs taking to task over this.

Went to the colposcopy suite for treatment, they were very kind and supportive, they made the procedure so much easier to cope with, I cannot speak more highly about them, I would encourage any women who need it doing, to get it done, what they do is nothing compared to what you may have to have done, if you don't ! Amazing people, can't thank you all enough xx I have been back for a check up, and once again, they were fantastic, taking my mind off the procedure, and treating with much appreciated dignity.

Great staff and great service at the urgent treatment centre. This is NOT an A&E though. Got sorted in good time considering how busy it is and how not so polite some people can be.

Went today to Ward 7 for a procedure. What a pleasure all the staff were. Made you comfortable, kept the conversations upbeat with myself and the other patients on the ward. Professional and timely. In at 7.30am, tests and op done and finished by 10.30am and having a much needed cup of tea. Home with feet up at 3.30. Thanks all.

Why do we pay taxes monthly if @NHSEngland does not comply with its services? I've been having an horrible chest pain for three days that doesn't even allow me to move, I've gone 2 times to 2 different hospitals (kendal and lancaster) and @NHSEngland haven't done the tests I need to find out what's wrong with my chest, I always pay taxes monthly and for once when I go to the hospital for an emergency @NHSEngland do not treat me in what the doctor said I need. I need the breast ultrasound scan ASAP, I could get worst and if something happens with my breast is your responsibility because you are so negligent.

On holliday from Australia, I had doubts if my wife, who had fallen on her wrist, could be helped. I was very wrong. Every member of the staff there were friendly and extremely helpful. Could not have asked for more. My wife's wrist was attended to and everything was explained to us. Congratulations to a terrific team.

Blimey! I went for an experimental procedure to get another pair of arms fitted. It was a huge success though I can't actually control my new pair of arms and all they do is flail around uncontrollably. After I had recovered, the nurse said she would show me a special part of the hospital. It turns out they have a bug ward for operating on insects. When I went in there the bugs all thought I was dancing (really it was just my arms.) I seen a terminally ill bug and I was sad but my arms just wouldn't stop. He smiled at me and said thank you for dancing and then passed away and I broke down in tears. I was crying and dancing and it was such a scene they decided to remove my second pair of arms because there was just too much going on at once.

I arrived at 5.45pm on Saturday with my son who’d had a bad fall off his bmx. We were seen quickly, went through the X-ray process quickly and got patched up quickly. All staff were incredibly friendly, very knowledgeable and very caring. My son received 1st class care from an excellent service. Thank you!

We are on holiday I rang 111 after explaining my problems they told me to contact my own Doctor In Staffordshire. The operator was quite patronising. I also rang the Doctors in Arnside & Silverdale are you registered. Answer no, sorry carn't help you. So we goggle Westmorland General Hospital. From start to finish everyone was so professional & friendly. I was diagnosed & taken to the pharmacy for my prescription all sorted in 1hour & 15 minutes. Brilliant service thank you so much. 👏

I visited Westmorland General Hospital after a crash while mountain biking that resulted in both hands being cut as well as my left knee. The staff could not have been more accommodating and friendly, with Nurse Freya in particular being very helpful :)

Went to the Macular Clinic here today, most of the staff were lovely. 1 nurse called Carol, was having a good talk on the corridor, never even checked the records properly. We missed the train back by 1 hour as she was just talking.

We were on holiday in Bowness on Windermere and I slipped coming out of shower. Went to Westmoreland Hospital (Urgent Treatment Centre) where it was confirmed I had broken my ankle. Could not fault the treatment I received and in all I was only there for 2 hours. The area is lucky to have such a great facility.

Just been to the hospital’s Urgent Medical Care dept for a foot problem. Every staff member I saw was wonderful from the porter who went out of his way to ask if I needed help, to the reception ladies who were courteous & friendly, to the nurses, pharmacist and the doctor. Hospital nice and clean too. Special mention to Dr Emily who was excellent: professional, friendly and explained everything clearly. Thank you everyone!

Admitted to the Day Surgery ward, the staff on this ward were lovely. Porter forgot my notes so had to wait for him to return with them. Had to stay overnight on ward 10, which seemed to be for orthopaedic surgeries, because of immense postoperative pain. Some night staff were agency workers and seemed to have no clue about any type of postoperative care! Very careless with myself and other female patients. Failed to stop the flow of saline drip spraying me, my clothing and bedding with contents, I had to ask to have clothing changed. Kept pushing me to move quickly when I'd just had abdominal surgery! I was still in pain on discharge on the point of tears, Dr said would write me up with codeine but did not, had to ask for meds and wait for ages. Not offered a wheelchair on discharge, did not see my Dr before discharge. These are just a few issues that scratch the surface!

Went with my husband who has Parkinsons. Saw Dr.Floyd. This is the first time since his diagnosis5 years ago that a doctor has taken so much time to explain things clearly to us. So patient and so empathetic. It felt the most productive hospital visit we have ever had.

Thank you to all the staff at Westmorland General Hospital. Visiting from Australia and couldn’t have asked for better, more thorough care. Special thanks to Dr Sheppy (please excuse if my spelling is incorrect) I was given first class care when the staff were having a busy day yet not once did their dedication waver.

I had a nasty fall on Wednesday 13th June. Our son drove us to the Emergency treatment Centre where I was treated kindly, quickly and efficiently. We were amazed at the care and attention of all the medical personnel. Thank you so much.

I went into the endoscopy unit yesterday feeling very anxious, and must thank all the staff I met, especially Olivia, Dean and Andrew, for being so kind, and patient. Having had this procedure before I opted for a sedative but they had trouble finding a vein. Nobody made me feel difficult and they got it done and carried on. The sedative didn't seem to make any difference, but their cheerful and reassuring manner did help me. Thank You.

Excellent, caring, helpful staff. I would really appreciate being able to use my card to pay for parking rather than desperately scratching around for change in my purse, when I am upset and stressed.

Yesterday I received a joint injection in my ankle via x-ray guidance. From reception to the Day Care Unit all staff were professional, pleasant and helpful. Thanks to Mr Garg and all theatre staff for their cheerful spirits towards a very nervous patient! The nurse who sat chatting to me in theatre was brilliant. I cannot recall her name(Kora?).
