Beware,
this
place
has
gone
seriously
downhill..!
I’ve
eaten
there
numerous
times
over
the
years,
and
the
great
views
remain,
of
course,
but
the
rest
of
the
experience
was
sadly
lacking.
Went
there
for
lunch
yesterday,
lovely
sunny
day,
expecting
it
to
be
busy,
but
only
2
tables
occupied
upstairs,
out
of
20-odd.
It
soon
became
clear
why.
No
printed
menus
on
offer,
so
had
to
follow
other
diners
and
take
photo
of
wall
menu
back
to
table.
Then
it’s
back
downstairs
to
order
and
pay,
even
though
there
were
3
staff
members
standing
around
with
apparently
nothing
much
to
do.
And
their
prices
have
gone
silly
-
£11
for
a
small
piece
of
battered
cod,
then
£3
extra
for
chips,
then
another
£1.50
for
peas..!!
So
a
very
ordinary
fish
and
chips
comes
to
£15.50
-
much
worse
value
than
in
recent
years.
Then
it’s
find
your
own
cutlery
(not
very
well
washed),
and
gather
condiments
in
those
awful
little
sachets
which,
once
emptied,
blow
all
over
the
balcony
in
the
slightest
breeze.
The
food
came
on
awful,
flimsy,
cardboard
plates,
and
the
drinks
in
the
flimsiest
of
plastic
cups,
the
sides
of
which
cave
in
as
you
pick
them
up
to
drink.
And
to
add
insult
to
injury,
we
found
we
had
been
charged
40p
for
2
“glasses”
of
tap
water..!
Is
that
even
legal..?
Needless
to
say,
we
shan’t
be
returning,
at
least
not
until
someone
gets
hold
of
the
place
and
restores
it
to
its
past
standards.
