I booked a Clay pigeon experience for a group of four at short notice. Staff were excellent with booking enquires and made the experience very easy. On the day, we had two instructors, we were looked after by Justin who was an excellent instructor with heaps of patience and adapting to the varying needs of the group (from cocky know it all's to absolute beginners). Everyone came away feeling really positive having all scored well. Lastly, quick tip, if booking around lunch, preorder some food for after your experience, the food is of good quality and service second to none. Thank you for the experience, I am sure we'll book again when we move to the area.

A poor day! Our team of 4 regular shooters shot two rounds of Sportrap & seven Sporting stands and we suffered a staggering 105 no birds & multiple trap breakdowns which made any scoring completely meaning less! We politely complained only to be told we were ' unlucky' Just not good enough and we won't return. '

Came down for the clayshooting, great set up using the Clay mate system if you shoot alone. During my visit that had about 16 stands set up offering a variety of sporting clays both in the open and woodland setting as well as a rabbit set up and skeet. There is plenty of parking, toilets and parking etc. Cost when I shot was 32p per clay, they also sell cartridges on site if required. (Fibre only). All in all a great morning on a nice set up.

I have visited Ashcome several times over the years, for the clay shooting ground, I enjoy it everytime, they have a nice selection of stands for varying abilities. Worth the travel as you can spend a good amount of time there and enjoy the day

Easy parking. Friendly staff who were chatty and made us feel very welcome. Was happy with the price, £30 for 25 shots at the clay pigeon range. Will come again.

All manner of sports catered for, Shotguns and clay pigeons, air rifles, archery, quad bikes.Probably lots more but my son took me shooting for my birthday, and we had a fun afternoon - would have been better had I won! The instructors and coaches are very patient and knowledgeable and coached a mixed bag of ladies and gentlemen, young and old to several hits each at least.

This is the second time I have visited ashcombe shooting and I took my dad for fathers day. We had Justin looking after us and he was absolutely fantastic. He gives you handy tips to improve the entire time, re-assurance, confidence and he has a calm/friendly nature which keeps your nerves at bay. Could not recommend these guys highly enough, the whole team are lovely and it’s just a pleasure to spend time there! Thank you all for making the experience so enjoyable from start to finish!

First class clay shooting ground. Everything from have a go taster sessions to full on CPSA comps. Great facilities, good food and friendly helpful staff.

Great competition turkey shoot. Very well organised. Good range of targets. So many to choose from on practice. Great high tower. Good food in clubhouse too.

Now has some great stands and there has definitely been some investment. Probably the best clay grounds in the West Country.

We had an excellent time at Ashcombe for our clay pigeon shooting experience. Paul was superb in his instructions and coaching. Only disappointment was my son beating me!! We’ll definitely be back.

I go shooting here regularly since I've taken up the sport as a beginner/intermediate. Compared to a few other places I've been, this one stands out as best with excellent facilities and huge variation in stands, sheets, trap positions and rabbits. Staff very welcoming and knowledgeable also.

Great shooting set up in wonderful surroundings Warm friendly welcome from Simone and the rest of the ground staff, will definitely be visiting again when in the area. Thoroughly recommend a visit for novice or experienced gun, there's something for everyone 👍👍

Attended a CPSA 100 bird on Sunday 6th November & had a practice on the Saturday too as had a shooting weekend away with the lad's. Travelled from Southampton and the weather was pretty ☔wet☔ for the majority. A good 50% of the traps on Saturday didn't work or produced 'no birds' so obviously disappointed. Sunday on the CPSA wasn't much better. At one point had a 'good' 40 guns waiting to shoot stand 7 as was malfunctioning. Staff were superb though & would go again just think the clay shoot was having a weekend from hell 😞

Was an absolutely brilliant experience. The most friendliest staff and great prices. It's definitely going to be a weekly visit and I'm bringing friends and family. Looking forward to my next visit already, I can't wait to improve my skills further.

My son and 3 friends enjoyed a great morning shooting, the instructor’s were great and good fun! Will definitely be booking again in the very near future,to keep 4 13 years olds focused for nearly 2 hours is a task in itself and you did a great job,thank you.

My favourite place to visit, it started with a group clay shooting experience day ,at the beginning of summer , which got myself and son completely addicted, since then my wife has got involved as well as my sons partner. The centre has changed hands ,and reopened in August ,and has got even better , with more varied stands and competition days , and is evolving with more investment. The team are very friendly,knowledge and helpful, and we shall be booking some instruction, as we strive to get better . The sport is addictive ,fun and inclusive , and all the fellow shooters have been very friendly and supportive . Highly recommended giving it a go.

Took the clay pigeon experience. We all had a safety brief and then out to shoot clays. Great instructor getting hits nearly straight away. Have returned a second time. It's under new ownership but still a great place to go.

Went here for a friend's birthday. The clay pigeon shooting was a highlight. The instructors were brilliant and great teachers.

We booked the clay pigeon shooting session for myself, my partner & three sons (aged 15 & up) and it was fantastic! Really welcoming and knowledgeable instructor really gave us the confidence to shoot (relatively!) straight. A great experience in a wonderful location that I would reccomend to anyone 😀
