👍 Friendly and welcoming staff. Dropped in for breakfast at the end of our boating holiday. Had Big Wellie breakfast and a Flat White. Coffee was served piping hot. Breakfast was tepid when it arrived and my poached egg was hard, otherwise the food itself was excellent quality and very tasty. Serve... People often mention staff, breakfast, service,

7 very disappointed ladies visited last night for their Italian night. Two had starters, 4 frozen calamari rings on a bed of salad. Bowl of feta chunks with a balsamic no salad garnish. Very long wait for our mains!!! The Italian Burger...served in a brioche (French) bun. Burger was thick, very dry....tasteless. So bad that 3 of us took ours home for our dogs. The Italian roast potatoes (which were recommended by the waitress) were not in any way shape or form Italian. They were slices of potato, blackened, hard and cold. I attempted to bite one but as I value my teeth I stopped. When the waiter came over I told him and received a very half hearted apology. So onto dessert...3 of us chose the Apple and raspberry crumble. The fruit was very nice but the crumble was stodgy underneath and dry but claggy on top. So all in all a very bad meal. I mentioned my dissatisfaction when paying, and again a very subdued apology and no offer to compensate me. Vera's...last night you let yourself down. All of us have visited you before on several occasions, as small parties and large groups. Will we come back??? Would you???

We’ve just had the most delicious lunch at Vera’s. It was hard to choose from such a great selection. However, in the end we both opted for Fish of the Day, which was salmon. It came with a generous amount of fresh veg and new potatoes and was cooked beautifully. The staff are all really friendly, especially the lovely Elisha ( what a credit to the business!) and the venue always has a welcoming feel to it. Well done and Thank You everyone x

Friendly and welcoming staff. Dropped in for breakfast at the end of our boating holiday. Had Big Wellie breakfast and a Flat White. Coffee was served piping hot. Breakfast was tepid when it arrived and my poached egg was hard, otherwise the food itself was excellent quality and very tasty. Serves a wide selection of cakes (Inc gluten free option) and tray bakes, although we were too full for anything more. Venue had plenty of tables, and felt a little clinical, although we loved the interesting light arrangement. Very popular. Arrived at opening time and it had filled up by the time we left. Will try again when back in the area

The food is ok. But the service has a lot desired. No joy or smiles. They would even scramble my childrens egg as they could only have fried egg. You just don't feel welcome.

Excellent! Great service from good humoured friendly staff. I had the fish finger ciabatta sandwich. It was wrongly described. Large "fingers" of cod in a lovely batter. As far from Captain Birds Eyes offering as you can imagine. An excellent salad and a pot of tartar sauce. Highly recommended!

Totally amazing Mother’s Day 3 course meal today. Atmosphere calm despite the place being so very busy. Lovely affable waiters and waitresses, who were willing to chat. All in all a perfect Mother’s Day. Thank you Vera’s chefs and front of house staff.

Lovely breakfast! I had the eggs royal which was really tasty. We sat outside in the sun and it was lovely. Food was really quick and the service was very nice. Worth the visit!

Had a late breakfast here today but I ordered Eggs Benedict and very disappointed that the poached eggs were solid. Much prefer them with runny yolks. Bought two slices of cake home for later and the carrot cake was amazing.

Very poor vegetarian options, all specials were meat or fish. Someone ordered fish very small portion and dried up peas, not good for £15. All portions tiny. Drinks were lovely and cakes looked good. Wouldn't recommend for lunch

Lovely cafe/restaurant, does nice range of meals although we only popped in for tea and cake. Always has wide selection of very tasty cakes with great portion sizes.

Drove from Norwich today, went in and waited at the front to be greeted. I had to ask if there was any seats available, I could see 2 empty tables. One lady looked me up and down, paused and said No. Totally understand that it's busy, but a smile, a hello and some polite customer service would have been nice. We won't be back.

Vera's coffee shop is well known for it's cakes, but I must add that they also do the best scones in the area 😋 (and I have tried a lot of scones in the area!) all made fresh every day (definitely no 'yesterday's scones' here). A staff member came out of the shop when she saw us turn up on our bikes and said that we were able to take our bikes through which was good. Staff all smiling, welcoming and smartly dressed. Regular haunt so will be back. 😊

Had the veggie breakfast and everything was cooked brilliantly. Not usually a fan of mushrooms but these were great, filling and taking on the flavour of what they're cooked in. Place was clean, coffee was hot and not too bitter and the staff were pleasant. Would recommend.

Don’t go if you have a dog! Must be one of the few garden centres (and garden centre cafes) that doesn’t allow dogs. Made a special journey here today only to be turned away by the curt sign on the door! Perhaps a more specific sign on the entrance would be useful as a sign simply saying “No Dogs” didn’t make it clear that we would have been welcome outside at the coffee shop. We went instead to the wonderfully dog friendly Cliff Top Cafe at Overstrand!

We had Sunday lunch yesterday 3/4. The lamb shank was cooked to perfection as well as the vegatables. The service is second to none. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

Stopped off for a breakfast meal. Friendly staff. Clean establishment. Quick service. Accommodating. Allowed us to use table on the proviso we knew it was already booked. Food was piping hot, simple but very nice.

Fantastic! We were let down by another venue that we had booked for a 75th birthday meal. Vera's were able to accommodate us at very short notice. The food was amazing! Especially the Steak and Ale pie, wow! Very filling and tasty. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Lovely atmosphere. We have tried the breakfast menu in the past and that's brilliant too. My husband said that going to Vera's made his day and he couldn't be happier. Thank you to all the staff for making his day special ❤️
