Beetroot salad, Wild sea bass, crown prince, Green salad were all perfectly made. Goat cheese with salsa verde was good. Baked potato wasn’t special. Nice staff, suitable prices.

Great and Independents Mini Shops...! Beautiful and fresh vegetables 🍎🍇🍊🥕🥔🍅🥦🥬 The superb quality of meat and fish. The fish and seafood 🦞🦐🦀 were surprisingly fresh!! Amazing choice of wines🍾 and cheeses 🧀 European deli. Fantastic Oliver oils. If you feel hungry😋 there's a restaurant and café inside the market. I would shop regularly in The Goods Shed if I was living in the area!! I love the people from Canterbury, they are amazingly friendly, helpful and polite🤗

Former goods shed now packed full of good produce. As well as fresh food (including greengrocers, butcher, fishmonger) there are some cafes, a bar and a restaurant. I ate at Gill's cafe which was fantastic. I had the salad, and it was so good, I came back the next day for another one. They have a choice of interesting salads and you get a big bowl for £8. Highly recommended!

Amazing place, great concept, unexpectedly good for location (next to the station). Sourdough from Docker (served in restaurant as well, that's how we tried it first) is top class, haven't had that good bread in UK before. Kitchen was just a little bit slower than expected, so don't go if you in rush for a train to restaurant, but all other shops and cafes in this place are fine for that :) Good stuff!

My favourite place to get fabulous fresh food. The butcher counter is absolutely amazing with extremely friendly and helpful staff. The fish counter is awesome. And all the way at the back, you can get some French cheese and charcuterie, and it's right next to Canterbury West Station

Name a better foodie spot in Kent than Canterbury, and I’ll show you to its many creative, unique eateries. As a Canterbury local, I am indeed a little biased, but even as someone who regularly waxes lyrical about the many restaurants on my doorstep, I’ve raved a little more than usual when it comes to The Goods Shed. Footsteps from Canterbury West station, the restaurant now reopened and is already made a mark, be sure to ring ahead and book a table in this amazing space, The Goods Shed

One of my favourite places in Canterbury. Seasonal menu, delicious food, great staff and atmosphere. When I was a local it was my regular go to.

We went to this restaurant on a day trip to Canterbury. I had no idea where to go in town, but I was recommended the Goods Shed by an internet guide (I think it was TimeOut, but not 100% sure). I’m usually really suspicious about these recommendations, but decided to book it anyway. The thing is I had one of the best meals I’ve ever had in England. My partner and I were simply mesmerised. We weren’t that hungry, so we decided to share two starters and one main dish. The starters were delicious (pork terrine and kedgeree - kedgeree was better in my opinion, but my partner thought it was the pork terrine) and had a distinctive taste. The spices were simple, but tasteful. It felt homely, but also sophisticated at the same time. The highlight was the main dish we shared, we got the lamb leg. It was juicy, tender and I felt it was just melting in my mouth. The side was great too, it had an onion punch that increased the flavour of the vegetables. Finally, we decided to get a dessert as well. The hot chocolate pudding was intense in flavour, it had a bold taste of proper chocolate. Although it wasn’t too sweet, it’s best if shared with someone else. Finally, the service was great, I have no complaints. But the experience was enhanced by the atmosphere. Many restaurants these days have this tendency to put costumers too close to each other in cramped and overcrowded restaurants. At Goods Shed, we got a big table for two and we could have enough privacy not to hear other costumers conversations. The candle-lit environment was also super cosy and romantic. The restaurant is located inside a small market with fresh produce and good quality groceries. If I had more time, I would have definitely browsed more. Great experience!

Our new favourite place for many reasons. Great food at Wild Goose, plus awesome beers and bread at Docker and a whole host of delicious produce from Murray Stores and other stalls.

What a lovely find - drove down from London on the weekend for a getaway lunch - lively space, open and bright. Part of a space which hosts bespoke grocers, cheesemonger, fishmonger, butchery, wine and charcuterie. Quality of food was really good. The highlight for me was the skate wing which was my main. Cooked to perfection - the bones were like cartilage. Yum! Cocktails also fantastic and the panacotta was a perfect finish to a well rounded meal.

The kind of market that should exist everywhere. Fresh produce in a large variety and diversity. I couldn't be more happier about this place. Its location is 2 minutes walking distance from Canterbury West. They even have an outdoor garden where you can enjoy your coffee.

Highly recommended! Combining ‘Farmers market’ and restaurant in one great building (repurposed railway shed) is a great idea! We had a fabulous lunch in the restaurant (perfectly cooked, good size portions, well presented and knowledgeable and attentive service) and then browsed the fresh food stalls on the way out (excellent fishmonger amongst others). Great atmosphere and setting.

I went to the Wild Goose today and the food was just so delicious. The staff was really attentive and friendly. The chef was very welcoming and it was nice to see her cooking. I recommend this place. I loved it.

Seating area located next to/inside the vibrant Goods Shed market. Service was fairly friendly and attentive, but very slow! They reassured us that everything was alright and the kitchen was running fine but it still took a considerable amount of time to get our mains. I had the carrots and cucumber with anchovy mayo to start - wouldn't recommend. As nice and fresh as it all was, nowhere on the menu did it say it would be raw and just assembled. The mayo was also quite weak, especially for an anchovy mayo. For the main, I had the lamb - sorry I can't remember what came with it, but it was very tasty - would recommend. Pricepoint is leaning towards overpriced, some items are better value than others. Overall experience was quite good, except for the speed.

We made a trip to this farmers market not for the restaurant but more for the specialized sellers. It was smaller than expected but a good size nonetheless. There are cheese, butcher, wine, pastry and fresh food sellers. They also have 2 cafes should you need a coffee fix.

We finally drove to Canterbury to check this interesting concept of a place; a restaurant built inside a farmer’s market that makes seasonal dishes with fresh produce from the market. Lovely food, generous portions and great presentation!

A previous goods shed for Canterbury West station, which has been converted into a very interesting space: farmer's market, several small restaurants, wine shops, butcher, etc. We had a wonderful time there, great atmosphere and pretty well served in terms of public transport and parking. My new favourite spot in Canterbury.

The food was incredible! Very tasty and fresh. The ambience was beautiful, nice and warm with candlelight. The servers were an absolute delight too! I recommend visiting and the French onion soup. It’s to die for 😍

Very good meal in a lovely setting. Food was well prepared, presented and very tasty. Highly recommended. Tip - if you're visiting in the winter months wear an extra layer. The roof heaters are very effective but not on all the time.

Value for money is not great. Food quality is decent but over the top expensive. The waiting staff is not attentive, no check back. Wine list isdecnet yet a bit over the top on prices. Lamp leg was £26. A bit oily, and blunt. Thought it was well cooked. Portion was reasonably smaller than expected. As mentioned earlier; after snacks, starters and main the waiter never checked back throughout out 1:25min lunch meal. Have a snack and glass of wine and head elsewhere for food.

The Goods Shed ois a great concept. Farmers market and restaurant in one building. A very nice building too. The food was good fare. We had the snacks, starter, main course and desert/cheese. All were tasty and well made. The service was a bit slow at times but they were busy with only 2 waiters. The atmosphere at lunchtime was bright and busy, surrounded by artisan food from the market it is all 'good food' orientated. I would go again.

A teeny-tiny marketplace right outside the train station. Very welcoming to visitors to Canterbury as it has draft beer, local cuisines with daily-changed menus and clean toilets. You basically have everything you need after a train ride. However, this place is bit small and also features some local butchers. Be prepared to have a blend of fresh meat smell when you are sipping your cocktail nearby.

Lovely community feel, friendly vendors, fresh produce, excellent quality of food and drinks at Wild Goose with affordable pricing. Would come back and fiancé joked about moving to Canterbury just to come here more often 😆

We love this place so much! We’re lucky to have live not too far from here so this is a real staple for a morning treat. We always pop to Gill’s for a coffee and grab a pastry from the bakery in the corner. Seriously their sausage rolls and CROISSANTS are next level. Personally we opt for the outdoor seats, partly so we can fuss over the dogs (this place is very dog friendly) and it can get very busy here especially on weekends so if you want a calmer sit down and chill then that’s for you. There’s always a real community and hustle feel to this place, full of friendly, passionate, hard working people.

We ate at the Wild Goose tapas bar and the staff were lovely, the food was divine and so local, seasonal and fresh. The shed itself is a foodies dream 100% recommend.
