Food are very good , but the wine pairing is super good . They are not expensive wine but every wine goes so well with the food . Some of them blends out the salty taste , some of them brings out more of the taste of food / seasoning . Really really impressive with the sommelier!!!

A fine dining restaurant using local and Scottish ingredients. We had the four course taster menu for lunch and it did not disappoint. Great selection of various delicious dishes (fish, pork, lamb), nice presentation and detailed explanation. Best bread and butter I ever had. Very friendly staff.

Not worth the money. Had the 7 course dinner here. The service from the wait staff was excellent, they were prompt, friendly and knew everything about all of the dishes. The issue really was the food. It is obvious the kitchen staff are technically competent, however none of the dishes were memorable or delivered any punch. The fact we can walk away from a restaurant of this kind and not remember what we ate the next day is the reason why I have given three stars. With soft drinks the bill came to about £170 which is Michelin territory. The meal we had was unremarkable and unmemorable, we therefore won’t be back.

The food was great, service as well. Most of the food plating looked stunning and gorgeous!! What I also really liked were the various utensils and other tableware, that was really inspiring as well!! On other hand, I was really disappointed by the interior - the entrance area is still fine/ok, but the remaining rooms and furniture look rather ikea (very/bad) cheap ( guests at next table had similar opinion). Anyway - the gloriously looking and full flavour food can still distract the visitor from the rather below-average interior, come and enjoy!!!

We've eaten at many restaurants around the world, and a number of Michelin rated places. This was probably the best meal we've ever had. Just spectacular food in just the right portions. Not too much or too little. Amazing flavors created by skilled masters. No point saying what the dishes were as the menu changes If I had a chance to come back. I def would Amazing experience

Delighted with my first experience dining at Fhior for lunch with some girlfriends. We went for the 4 course tasting lunch. One of us had a gluten and dairy intolerance and another person was vegan. The team catered for us without any fuss and everyone loved their dishes. The service was friendly, warm and efficient. I can't wait to go back again. Many thanks to the fabulous team at Fhior.

We had a faultless lunch at Fhior. The restaurant is furnished simply but beautifully; the crockery is delightful and tactile; the service was polished, enthusiastic and incredibly polite and the food delicious, beautifully presented and complex enough for me to know I couldn't ever come close to replicating it at home. We look forward to returning as soo as we are back in Edinburgh.

They were so very accommodating of my pescaterian dietary restrictions and that I'm expecting. The service was really wonderful. The food was... Almost good. If they used a tad less salt, threw in some acid in some of the courses, and varied some of the purees and sauces it could be amazing. I had at least 4 beige sauces on different courses. And a few courses had a similar green sauce. All creamy and salty, but it needs some variation in order to really nail the course pairing and get them to the next level. Also some fresh herbs that go with the protein that weren't overly ferny would have really made the meal pop. We so so want to love it, but it just missed the mark for us. Hope for great things for this place though!

Yesterday evening I had the pleasure of experiencing the 10 course tasting menu and wine pairing at Fhior. All staff went out of their way to make this a beautiful experience. This tasting menu was an absolute symphony of flavors, textures, temperatures and taste! The two amuse bouche gave great expectations of what was to come. The wait staff were all superb and the sommelier was kind and informative. All wine pairing were exquisite. The minimalist decor is lovely and the overall evening was a great value. Thank you Chef!

Fab-u-lous! Fhior has been on our radar for a while and we finally managed to align the stars and make a booking. A pleasant welcome in to a smart, minimalist dining area. A stunning, well balanced, seasonal tasting menu, hard to pick any favorites, though the bere barely bread was a highlight. All perfectly prepared, cooked and presented as you would expect, service just right. A delightful evening; look forward to coming again.

We got the four course lunch tasting here and had an absolutely lovely time. Each dish was delicious, perfectly balanced with bold textures and flavors. The cocktails were also excellent and the bread (+ butter) was some of the best I’ve ever had. The portioning was fine for a lunch tasting. It won’t stuff you but it won’t leave you hungry. For 40 pounds and considering the quality of the food, it’s an steal. Service was excellent. Overall, this definitely compares to some of the best tasting experiences I’ve had anywhere. Highly, highly recommended to anyone looking for elevated Scottish cuisine that won’t break the bank.

My husband and I had a sensational 10 course tasting menu here, and every course was fresh and delicious. We loved the homemade bread/butter, and thought the service was attentive but informal (which is our preference). We will definitely be back, and would 100% recommend.

Really fantastic experience. All of our dishes thoughtful and creative while delivering superb quality. The service was excellent; and the environment comfortable and relaxing. Will absolutely return the next time I’m in town — can’t wait to see what’s new!

First time there, and hopefully not the last. Delicious food and wine, very attentive service from Florence who gave great descriptions of every dish from the set lunch menu - each course a culinary delight. I know we will be back sometime.

We had the 10 course option which was not cheap, the presentation of the food was nice but the taste did not live up to expectation and price point. When you go to a fine dining restaurant you expect a level of quality from the venue. If the food was out of this world exceptional, it could be brushed over but the tables and room were basic, the toilets were not far off a standard pub toilet. Unfortunately this did not live up to expectations.

This looks pace might just became my fav restaurant in Edinburgh. The course is big and takes long time but hospitality is amazing and the very dish was amazing. The place is very cozy and warm too. I would definitely go back when I come to Edinburgh again sometimes.

One of the best dining experiences we've ever had! The menu was fresh, exciting and well executed. It was amazing trying locally sourced and inspired food and learning about it from people that truly care. All staff were great, but our main waiter, Pete, was world-class. Pete made us feel so welcomed and explained everything perfectly. We even left with a list of suggestions of other places to go! The owners and staff have created something special here. A high level of skill, care and passion was evident in all parts. Would HIGHLY recommend for anyone visiting Edinburgh!

Great service, knowledgeable staff and excellent food. It made our celebration night more enjoyable. The food tasted great and was art on a plate. Fhior catered to all our dietary requirements. Gluten free, no shellfish and no soy. Highly recommend trying Fhior.

Impeccable. The food will grab your attention but the service will keep you around. Celebrated an anniversary, had multiple drinks comped, the staff checked with us multiple times as my partner had a few minor allergies, they would occasionally come make sure the meal was to our liking, always in the background refilling our waters or just there when we needed a picture taken. Most impressive, they had a dynamic service style, so when course number 7 started filling us up, out server set a 10 minute timer for the kitchen so we time to digest and still had a hot plate when course number 8 came out. Easily one of the most wonderful dining experiences of my life.

We had the 10 course tasting menu with wines thoughtfully selected by the sommelier, Phil. Such a delightful experience! The thoughtfulness about everything - including dietary restrictions - was very appreciated. Everything was absolutely perfect. The service was impeccable. The food was delicious and beautiful, and everyone very gracious... it was an experience to remember. My warmest thanks to the entire team!

Really enjoyed it. The staff were great and very friendly. The food looked and tasted great. Wasn’t a huge fan of a couple of dishes but that was just me and the ones I wasn’t keen on my better half loved. Hope to go again and see how dishes change

An unforgettable 7 course experience in this vibrant classy restaurant. Attentive staff, delicious food and an overall outstanding experience. On the expensive side (to be expected) but you get what you pay for 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

The most amazing food, drink and service! Myself, my boyfriend and his mum had the most fantastic experience at Fhior. We went for the 7 course meal matched with the wine tasting - every dish was unique and tasted incredible!! Would highly recommend Fhior and will definitely return in our next visit to Edinburgh.

The food is nothing short of sublime. Had the 10 course menu and it was absolutely worth it. Really interesting dishes that leave you wanting just that little lit bit more. Every dish was very nicely balanced. Particular highlights were the squid, leeks, celeriac, cod and lamb dishes. Also the smoked egg yolk is divine and I wish I knew how to make one. Service was good as expected and the dining room has a very nice atmosphere. I'm a particular fan of some of the rather punny artwork. My only improvement would be to shorten the time between courses as it it's a very long dining experience if you have the ten course meal.
