The airport and the staff were great, but the Β£4.50 drop off charge is robbery, I ask what's it for? Then if you stop on a red double line because you need a second to find your way, it's a Β£100.00 fine, I ask again what's this corporate robbery for, who in the local authority let's them get away with it. The airport was build with local authority money, our money. Then they charge top price for drinks and food and I will not comment on the petrol station prices and parking policy. Had a nice holiday despite the charges.

Spacious and airy and handy to have the metro station on site if you are flying during its hours of operation. Like all airports food and drink is a complete rip off. This tends to be expensive for air fares as well which is a shame. Facilities wise it's good though. And all retail outlets will give you free tap water so save some money and bring an empty bottle with you through security.

I found it to be a good airport. Not too far from the city. Not massive but seems to have a good choice of eateries and a selection of shops. They now have the latest bag scanning technology, so you don't even need to remove anything from your bags. Just belts and boots, if you are wearing them. Going though security was super fast. If you are looking for the bathroom after security, it's just past the Boots store.

Newcastle Airport is an excellent travel hub with efficient facilities and a welcoming atmosphere. From my arrival to departure, the airport staff was courteous and helpful, making the check-in and security processes smooth and hassle-free. The airport's cleanliness and organization added to the overall positive experience. I appreciated the variety of shops, cafes, and restaurants available, providing a range of options for dining and shopping before my flight. The airport's layout was easy to navigate, with clear signage guiding me to my gate. During my time at Newcastle Airport, I found the waiting areas to be comfortable, offering ample seating and charging points for electronic devices. The free Wi-Fi access was a bonus, allowing me to stay connected while waiting for my flight. Overall, I had a pleasant experience at Newcastle Airport and would highly recommend it to travelers looking for a convenient and enjoyable airport experience.

It's an airport what can I say...It's not huge & wasn't too busy ..I would advise be Careful with your toiletries. I had to Empty my toiletry bag that I've Used Before & put everything in a tiny plastic bag. When I queried this the Response was my bag Wasn't a government bag even tho It was government size . This Issue needs to be addressed. I had checked online re measurements & I certainly wasn't the only person effected....

Flight on time, parking excellent. Facilities improved, expanded and superb. Star of the day was Michael in Duty Free alcohol sales who spotted that I had two 1ltr bottles of Grouse and recommended that I switch to one 2x1ltr gift box at over a fiver less-customer service at its best. Top bloke and a shining example of why I’m so very proud to have Newcastle Airport as my local. I won’t fly from anywhere else. Ding dong 🀜🏻

Good experience. Fast passport control, fast security process, friendly staff, with a multi-faith prayer room. Fairly small duty free shop (see images). The only thing is that there are no good restaurants or cafes.

Great for a small single terminal airport. Check in and security is always a breeze, and there’s enough food and drink choices to keep you busy for a couple hours once checked in.

This review is going over our return trip from Antalya to Newcastle. This had been the first time we'd ever had to have a bus transfer to the actual airport, even though it was 2am. It took about 20 minutes after stopping for the doors to open and there was little to no accommodation for the fact that we had just travelled from 25Β°C-30Β°C to the cold English night in Newcastle. When we got to the actual airport, we had to line up and queue outside for 10 mins before being able to get into the actual airport building and then we were disappointed to find another massive queue. We were not happy for a family of, already, tired people. However cleanliness was very good and up to standard and there wasn't any hassle with the staff.

Nice and quite airport, even it’s crowded by flights. Things going in smoothly. Huge World duty free according to the airport. I didn’t pass the gates yet, but every thing is ok till now.. the most strange thing is there are no one shop to get a Sim card. Is it logical?? Traveler check for any , any Sim card to contact the others? No service providers here for phone lines. So make sure that you have your own. WiFi is available with reasonable speed. Enjoy. 😁

Newcastle International Airport is a regional airport that serves the North East of England. It offers a range of domestic and international flights, as well as amenities such as shops, restaurants, lounges, and parking. However, the airport also has some drawbacks that may affect the travellers' experience. Some of the positive aspects of the airport are: - It is clean and well presented, with good signage and terminal seating. - The check-in process is straightforward and relatively easy, despite the number of people. - The airport staff are generally friendly and helpful, especially in the security area. - The airport has a good location, with easy access to public transport and nearby attractions. Some of the negative aspects of the airport are: - The airport is overcrowded and noisy, with not enough seating before and after check-in. - The airport is expensive, especially for parking and food and beverages. - The airport has poor baggage handling, with long delays and lost luggage. - The airport has rude and impatient staff, especially in the automated passport control section. Overall, Newcastle International Airport is a reasonable regional airport, but it could improve its service and facilities to provide a better experience for the travellers. I would rate it 4 out of 5.

Fantastic local airport well equipped for it's needs - yes it's busy in rush hours but the lines move quicker than other airports. Great destinations and choice of airlines. Love this airport and use it often! πŸ’› ✈️

Had a wee bit of a wait. There was only one Aer Lingus check-in and Bag-drop desk, and Special Assistance. The poor woman behind the desk was swamped. The queue grew and grew. Things got better after that. I'd give the airport 8 outa ten, maybe a 9. Thank you.

Not a bad experience compared what I've seen on the news regarding Leeds and Manchester. Very quick check in and security at approx 4.30am. The departure lounge was packed though and struggled to get a seat anywhere. Quick boarding of the aircraft but unfortunately sat on the tarmac for 1.5 hrs not at the fault of the airport or airline but some idiot passengers apparently who were denied boarding.

Never had an issue! Staff friendly. Good system. Quick and simple. 15 minute free car park is easily accessible for dropping and picking people up although most people seem to miss this. People always go straight at the roundabout and end up in car park that charges Β£4 regardless if you have been there for 1 minute or 20. BUT PLEASE GO LEFT at roundabout after the SHELL garage and there is a car park there that is 15 minutes free, just follow the signs.

Wow! What an amazing modern airport, security checks are totally stress free as they have super modern scanners. We had been traveling with a dog and all the staff are friendly and helpful and clearly proud that their systems are amazing. Please fly your team out to Paris CDG and sort out that mess! Thanks for a great start to our trip. Yea clearly still in development but as someone who travels a lot I value a smooth security experience and nice staff over anything else!

Clean tidy. Staff pleasant and friendly. Expensive for everything. Sometimes it pays to take your own food. Lot places didn't open straight away and some didn't open, staff shortages. Quick and easy to get your luggage through and pretty quick going through passport control and straight on to plane, no problems on this visit. Happy to return.
