What can you say about this lake other that absolutely brilliant. £6 for adult and £5 concessionary is by far more than worth it. Really nice lady owner/ bailiff who was really helpful for our visit today. Has put on a loo at the farmhouse, really nice grounds, well kept. Great day fishing with more than 40 roach, rudd and tench. Missed a couple of mirror carp and all on white bread!! When visiting we will definitely be coming here again.

Brilliant fishing lake in a beautiful setting and literally bursting with fish. I have fished most of the lakes in the Scarborough area numerous times over the years but none come close to this place in terms of fish numbers. Fishing from the left-hand side pegs (from the entrance gate) half to three quarters way down the lake with a feeder and banded pellet can produce a tench a cast on a summer’s night. The only downside is it can get very weedy in the summer which makes some of the pegs unfishable. Payment is via an onsite honesty box and it’s only £4 for 1 rod from 4.00pm till dusk. Amazing fishery, highly recommended!

Brilliant fishing lake! We met the owner a lovely lady called Helen who explained how the lake works etc; I took my 7 year old grandson this morning & he caught his first ever fish, a little Rudd and then a few more, we both thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and luckily it's on our doorstep so will return a lot more as he's now 'hooked'!

Always a great fishing lake to visit, never fail to catch roach, rudd, tench, bream & carp on sweetcorn or bloodworm pellet, maggot not required. Well priced at £6 per adult & £5 per child (12yr-16yr), OAP, disabled.

What can be said about this place ? Put simply it's one of the nicest fisheries I've ever visited. The owner is lovely and a pleasure to chat too :-) and the fishing is top notch in an idilic quiet setting, no noise just peace and quiet and top quality fishing. The lake can get a bit weedy in the summer months but on my first visit I bagged 44 tench with the largest at just under 6lb and the majority around the 3-4lb mark. Also had a few bits and pieces but all top quality fish and an awesome days fishing. 2nd visit I managed 3 separate species personal bests which I was very happy about :-) the tench were spawning so only 20 for the day but the other species of the lake more than made up for it . I look forward to many future visits and look forward to catching more fish at this amazing venue :-)

If you want to catch fish all day this is the place to be, brilliant experience from start to finish. £1 Discount for under 16 and senior citizens. Otherwise £6 all day bargain. Lady who owns it is especially nice and doing a fab job. Keep up great work x

This lake is ranked with small hungry fish. And some very big ones! I took the grand kids. It's great one to one but 2 is a bit hard as the pegs are mostly jetties standard sort of size but lots of high weeds. Making casting out and looking after New anglers quite difficult. We have caught small fish on sweetcorn and maggot. Today was Rudd and Tench up to 1lb previously had roach and perch as well. Not sure if there are pike in the lake but both times we have finished is gone dead after a few hours and then comes back on again. A good day out well worth the price

Nice lake, stocked full of Rudd and Tench mostly, I went to catch tench and I got a few. Owner was very friendly and the price is fair. Be aware that it's extremely tricky in the summer with weed, be prepared for it.

Great fishing lake…I take my little boy and he enjoys catching the roach and Rudd, whilst there is also some sizeable carp and tench in there too.
