Overpriced for wht they offer Also felt cheated. The utensil was shaped inside so that less food fits inside . (He said ohh we put it inside tandoor so I have a bad utensil now☹) . Was this ur first biryani? Who do u think customer is ...fool? Don't act smart and try to fool them ....and don't spoil the name of your country . So sad to write a bad review abt Sardar who has no dignity. The owner thinks people r fool and don't understand. Very very poor service. Never ever will recommend.

The food is just wow. Ambiance is very good and the attempt to make dhaba like is commendable. BYOD applies for alcohol only. Staff polite and service efficient. Go for food. Rest is bonus!

It was a lovely place to dine in. Full punjabi vibe and lovely songs. Food is very authentic and tasty, it did satisfies the taste bud. On road parking is usually available. We had a good time there. It is a good time pass to read the menu while waiting for the order. The owner is a friendly person. He played karaoke and most of the customers sang along. Good environment and lovely evening to spend. Saturdays are special as they plan the punjabi dance and lots of singing.

Overall food was not excellent but was good in taste. Daal makhni, baigan bharta was really good in taste and panner was okish. But in every dish there was a sour taste of extra tomato gravy. I will give this restaurant an another try, because of its organic taste in every bite.

The food was okay, we asked for it spicy and couldn’t taste spice at all. It was also lacking in salt. We had to wait a long time for our food to come. We were hoping to also order a dum biriyani but our mains took too long. It is expensive, for one starter and one main with a drink and roti cost around £45

This is handsdown one of the best diners to serve authentic indian cuisine. The owner is very welcoming & interactive and guided us towards the best options to choose from the menu. No doubt, we’ll surely be dining in here soon enough.

Raunka Punjab Diyan is a beautifully and orthodoxically decorated restaurant. The top of the top I tell you! The way in which this place honours and respects Punjabi customs, culture and food is commendable! The food was brilliant and flavourous, like utterly true and pure Punjabi food made by a loved one. The menu was the most traditional of yet in the area, and the chaat is to kill for I promise. Raj was a lovely, accommodating, delightful and genuine lad- he was involved and ensuring that the service Is as exquisite as can be, which I respect of him. He helped us order, was lovely to me and even took photos of me and my family on an auspicious day, he had charisma. He encouraged us to sing Happy Birthday to a family and made witty jokes.. He is friendly, outgoing and worldly with a genuine smile. The waiters were respectful and hardworking. I was personally mesmerised-yes, mesmerised whenever I set my eyes upon the gorgeously painted murals of a Punjabi village, of the Hindi writing, of the beautiful antiques, of the Baba Ji statue, of the Lady too. There was even a well! I felt acknowledged, as part of the Punjabi community there, a feeling and treatment I do not quite get from other counterparts with all respect, I assure you. To conclude, I give all my love and best wishes to this business and hope that all prospective customers receive full and deserved satisfaction and joy from Raunka Punjab Diyan, because I know for sure. Shoutout to Raj, he is a pleasure and most likeable of people, he only wishes to help others, to make them feel heard, and to spread kindness towards everybody, regardless of your identity. I would most definitely definitely visit another time and I again shall recommend Raunka Punjab Diyan. If you love Punjabi culture, this is the place for you, you will feel at home. You will remember home, even perhaps. 6-star worthy. I appreciate you. God bless❤️👌🙏

Had an amazing experience tonight in this delightful Indian restaurant. Authentic food served beautifully and wonderful flavours to temp the palate. Service was also good. Prices very reasonable. Can bring your own drinks as they only serve soft drinks. We'll worth a visit if you like authentic "home cooked" Indian food. Excellent quality. Definitely recommend.

Flavourful, fresh food. The restaurant also accommodates personal tastes. Food here has a lovely home made feel and taste. Staff go out of their way to assist you. Family run small business where we had a great night. Thank you to our waitress Gagan who took good care of us. Parking in the area is free after 6:30pm.

What an authentic Indian restaurant, the food was amazing, really fresh flavours, light and unlike your standard Indian. The atmosphere was great, service was attentive and very reasonably priced. The art work and decorations in the restaurant were a real taking point and enjoyed by all. The kids 11 and 6 even enjoyed the food and asked for seconds. Would highly recommend and will be back very soon. Highly enjoyable evening. Thank you.

As soon as we entered we were happy to see it being busy and the Waiters and the staff was lovely The decor the ambiance took us back to Punjab and the feeling was amazing When te food arrived the tandoori chicken looked lovely however it was borderline burnt and the meat was dry as a dessert. Fish amritsari was a bit of a shame as it merely had a coating of Chickpea flour batter ... The sarso ka saag was nice, it could have been better makke ki rotis were beautiful At the end my wife got a rasmalai it was so amazing, she remembered her childhood... that was great However we were not presented with any email copy or paper copy of the bill we did see the bill in the tab ...

Food review: Starters: Masala chai £2.25 - no flavour, a sign of things to come perhaps? Less flavour than a powdered instant chai Bottled water - £2.50 • Masala fries £5.50 - never received, they tried to charge us for it too, but we got this removed. • Gol goppa £4.75 - Had to make it ourselves! They didnt put any of the filling in the gol goppa, usually people put the filling and keep the water separate. • Bhel chaat £4.75 - fine if not a bit stale • Aloo Tikki chaat £4.75 - too much sweet yogurt. Not enough potatoes • Papadi chaat £4.75 - fine but didnt actually use papadi Dinner: • Chilli paneer (dry) £7.95 Quite sad, the paneer itself had no flavour. Its by far one of the most blandest • Chilli fried mushroom £7.95 would order again. This was nice, sweet and sour type flavour. • Chilli chicken (dry) £7.95 tasted nice, moist. But we were told when ordering its dry- it clearly had sauce in. What is going on there? • Chicken tikka £8.95 5 pieces for £8? Expensive as anything. The meat was fine, if not a bit tough and the marinade wasn't a nice thick one • Dal Makhni £8.75 Quite nice, creamy, slightly sweet though • Saag £8.75 so disappointing, bland & tasteless. It was like they just emptied a can and made no tadka with it. So bad, wasn't cooked down or smooth at all. • Lamb rogan josh £10.90 tasteless, barely any meat. Member of our party said it acc made them sick • Bhatura £1.95 - fine, as described • Makhi di roti £1.75 - Undercooked and not nice at all. Hard, dry, bitter tasting • Garlic Chilli Naan £2.90 • Plain rice £3.50 General Review: ♡ Pros: - BYOB - Waiter/waitresses were super helpful trying to help my grandad get hot water, and generally helpful - Mural gave a cosy punjabi feel - Starters came quick, but quite a wait (over 30-40mins?) for the mains. We considered just paying for starters and leaving. - Warm plates for mains × Cons: - Booking was a hassle, we were told to phone back in an hour. Yes we have a party of 8, but theres a number of empty tables when we arrived and remained empty. Eventually after another member of the party called (after an hour!) they said they'll phone us back in 20mins. - Offered us papadum but they're not free, did not disclose this at the time, we had to ask - Music is quite loud so hard to have conversation - Bottled water on table is chargeable, this should have been disclosed when you arrive instead of the 'menu explanation' we had (which didnt explain when the mains started) AND the little sign (on an a4 printed paper) saying its chargeable - Fanta was flat - Very small portions for the price. Particularly the chai. - We thought the numbers on the menu were for ease, so we noted down what we wanted by number but the till system records it by the full name without the number - Staff member was evidently not confident with using an ipad for taking orders as it took a painful amount of time to put it through - Waiter felt a bit judgy as we were ordering starters for mains. Kept trying to say from 46 onwards (or something like that) its all mains but we're ordering starters for dinner etc. - Kept trying to upsell saying we're a big table you'd only get a spoon each of the items we were ordering. Again, felt very judged. Same with the rice, you dont want Raita? Onions? Pickle?? It was shameless really - There were times staff would completely disappear from the restaurant floor which wasn't great as customers if you needed something e.g water or tissues or any extra orders. At one point we did want to ask something but waiters were avoiding eye contact, and just going from a to b before leaving the shop alone again. - Waitresses were specifically unenthusiastic. - Had to keep asking for tissues as there just wasnt a lot on the table - Forgot our Masala fries with our starters - Service charge was high and non-discretionary. Given how long things took and our overall experience we did not feel this was justified but they refused to take it off. Edit after owner response: Shockingly rude. Grandad asked for hot water, and we asked for our food after a good 40mins.

Amazing restaurant in southall. You feel like you’re in India 🇮🇳 when you come here. The service is attentive and friendly. The ambience is really cool. The food takes a bit time but it’s totally worth it as they make it all fresh. The butter chicken is divine !!! Overall it’s highly recommended to visit.

Visiting central London, this was worth the trip out to Southall. We visited at a Friday lunchtime. The girl who greeted us and served our food was very friendly and wanted to help with the menu choices as it's a bit different from what you'd normally see in a typical UK Indian restaurant. No pushiness at all, just good hospitality :) The food was honestly the best Asian food I've had anywhere, really tasty.

Indian food in central London was woefully disappointing but the trip to this place in Southall set everything right! Amazing home-cooked quality authentic Punjabi food with the traditional Punjabi dhaba setting and hospitality is found here. Food was so fresh and flavorful that it must have been prepared one dish at a time from scratch after it was ordered, as it says on the menu. Everything we (over)ordered was first rate and delicious. Mr. Rai (naam to suna hi hoga) the owner-proprietor is refreshingly still sticking to the deep rooted Indian "atithi" culture and wouldn't let us leave without dessert for which he refused to accept payment. Honestly, don't know what else you could add to this punjab meal that's overflowing with flavors and tradition. Glad that I don't have to write off London for Indian food. Oh, and it is BYOB, you can buy all kinds of Indian beers two doors down and bring in with you.

What an amazing restaurant!! Absolutely fab authentic food that takes you straight back to beloved India. We were like in a time machine to Amritsar. The sarson da saag, balle balle dal, the naans are lip smacking. Equally tasty are the lamb dishes. The staff and the owner must get a special mention. Caring, friendly and very polite and very very generous . Hospitality at its best. All this and the lip smacking food. What else can you ask for? Will definitely come back.

Have been looking for authentic Punjabi food for a while. What a great find this landed up to be. Great food, coupled with fantastic service - a must visit. Dal makhani was just mind blowing, achari baigan and all rotis were great too. We will definitely be visiting this place again. The favours were perfect, they also adjust spice level for kids. Need to be mindful that food is prepared fresh so it will take some time. But it was worth the wait.

This is hands down one of the most friendly and welcoming restaurants I’ve been to. Not only are the staff brilliant with their contagious smile but they also serve lovely food within perfect time. Tasteless food, less quantity, high price. Cheapest tukra rice used in Biryani and mix raita with no vegetables was only plain curd in high price. Noodles full of oil and onions. Keema naan with 1% of keema in it. In mix grill kebab is very rediculous.

Oh my god it was one of the best experience one can have. we were nine people in total it started off by free parking outside the restaurant a big welcome smile and a wonderful host was there to welcome us.we had ordered nine different dishes and each one of them were bursting with flavors in our mouth. I can honestly say this was the best meal in England I have had in a long time along with the food a attentive and polite service was given by Kiran and Manu. We had a gala time with food service music and dance. This restaurant will be our favorite from now onward 100% highly recommended. Do try the dal makhani and saag with garlic chili naan.

Yesterday at 9:45 pm, we entered the restaurant with high expectations of enjoying superb food due to its apparent busyness. However, during the ordering process, the owner seemed talkative and asked us about our taste preferences, assuring us they would prepare the dishes accordingly. Despite giving a clear order, the experience took a disappointing turn. The papad served was fried instead of the requested roasted version, and the Manchurian turned out to be more like flour than a flavorful dish. The amritsari fish was average, and the tandoori half chicken had a well-presented plating but was unfortunately undercooked. The disappointment continued during the main course, as the special chicken roganjosh tasted overwhelmingly of turmeric powder. Even the malai kofta resembled the Manchurian in taste, which was unusual and unsatisfying. The double dal tadka had an excessive garlic base, overpowering its flavors. After waiting for over 30 minutes, the main course was served, but it failed to impress. Unsatisfied with the overall experience, we requested the bill and shared our dissatisfaction with the waitress. She asked us to wait and relayed our concerns to the owner, who, unfortunately, did not come to address the issue. The frustration grew, and we ended up not eating around 20% of the food served in both starters and main course. This experience left us feeling disappointed and upset, as we had never encountered such poor taste and quality before. To share the extent of our dissatisfaction, we even took photos of the uneaten food. It was truly the worst dining experience we have ever had, a regrettable waste of food and money.

Food was nice, we ordered chilli p, chicken tikka and dhaal makhani. All tasted great however the second picture is of the dhaal, which contained kidney beans but the rest just felt like mush. Not bad tasting mush but it wasn’t dhaal. Atmosphere was a bit dry, not busy for a Wednesday night. I would recommend this place the food was nice.
