Great place to visit lost of different areas to visit, its a long walk to go around the lake but different areas for you to see, the gardens are beautiful to look at and plenty of wildlife. Definitely going back as we didn't feel we had taken it all in after a 3 hour walk.

It was very calm and less crowded the day we visited. Very disappointed With water cascade :( No water at all. Not the right time to visit cascade. Park is pretty good otherwise.

Beautiful lake in all seasons...and all walks for free. Wow! Since I was little it seems like some of the fun has been taken out of the experience (e.g. no longer allowed to clamber over the waterfall, one gets told off climbing fallen trees (as my wife did the other day! (Side topic: She listened to the Ranger but she doesn't listen to me, but that's another story ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜‰!)). But I guess the "killjoys" apply everywhere, and not just here, so shouldn't really complain. We go often so becoming a member is real good value for money and the parking isn't cheap.

Beautiful place to relax with friend and family or even alone and also Very nice waterfall. This is the first time I have visited this place. I and my friend decided to walk from Virginia water train station to the park. lol That was a wrong decision ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ It was take about 30mins walk. Actually it quite worth it because I and my friend did not expect how beautiful this area is. A lot of huge and beautiful house, big tree and some lovely local shops. Nice plce.

A large, scenic park that is absolutely amazing for summer walks/picnics. There is plenty of open space and grassy areas for picnics. There are also many walking paths / forest area which makes for some great walks. I definitely recommend walking through the forest areas during autumn, amazing colours! I definitely recommend Virginia Water for anyone looking for a nice day out in summer/ for anyone who likes walking.

As I live so close by I hadn't been up to Virginia Water Lake for about 60 years. I had forgotten how beautiful it is up there. I definitely will be going back and walking all the way round next time.

(Translated by Google) It was a really nice place for me personally. It's a good place to sit back and finish the day. There are not many, but the park is beautiful. If you need a place to sit and eat at other attractions, it is recommended to come here. It can be frightening at night if you go alone. The subway station is close but I do not know, so please do not stay late or stay with your party! Simply amazed by the local wildlife they have in this park which is exquisite in its own right. The variety of bird is wild. As this park is in the heart of the city located right next to the palace, it's remarkable. Worth a stroll through its lush green pathes and tree-lined waterways. Great park and lake, with fab walks and a waterfall cascade. A delightful place to visit especially in spring autumn and summer. You can walk all the way round which makes one of the best walks in area! Passing a array of habitats and environments. From waterfalls, ruins, lake views, old bridges, flowers gardens woods and forest. It truly is a wonderful location to explore.

Was a very peaceful place. Walked around the lake, and explore some parts of the woods. The place is so big, although we spent the whole day there, we didnโ€™t get to explore everything. It is ยฃ12 parking for the whole day or over 4 hours. I would recommend to explore this place and be in touch with nature.

If you like a long walk, this is a must visit. Clean and massive space. Savil garden cafe is open, but I suggest to bring your own food and drinks as it's a good place for picnic. Can't fault this. After a long week at work, this place is one of the best to go to, to distressed. Our furbaby love it, most gardens requires your dog to be on lead. Would definitely go back๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ’™

Pretty lake walk of about 4 miles, with tracks suitable for casual strolling & with rugged pushchairs. Dogs are allowed to run free. Clean toilets & a cafe at the start but find somewhere else to park - at over ยฃ3 per hour it's incredibly expensive. No swimming / paddling in the lake and cycling is only allowed in some areas. No play area for kids but nice enough for picnics.

If you're looking for a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life, then look no further than the Windsor Great Park-Virginia Water Lake. This stunningly beautiful location is the perfect place to unwind and relax, with its breath-taking scenery and tranquil atmosphere. One of the best things about the Windsor Great Park-Virginia Water Lake is that it's fully accessible for people with disabilities. There are paved pathways throughout the park, as well as wheelchair-friendly facilities and amenities. Whether you're traveling solo or with a group, everyone can enjoy the park and lake to its fullest extent. Another great feature of the park is the availability of toilets, food, and coffee facilities. This makes it easy to spend an entire day exploring the area without having to worry about finding somewhere to eat or use the restroom. And when it comes to the scenery, it's simply stunning. With expansive green spaces, picturesque woodland areas, and a serene lake, there's plenty to see and explore. It's the perfect spot for a relaxing stroll, a picnic with friends or family, or simply sitting quietly and enjoying the natural beauty of the park. Overall, the Windsor Great Park-Virginia Water Lake is a must-visit destination for anyone in search of peace and tranquility. Whether you're a local resident or visiting from out of town, this beautiful park is the perfect way to recover both physically and mentally.

Beautiful place with wonderful walks year round. Unfortunately, arrogant dog owners with uncontrolled dogs and associated mess can ruin it, especially near the A30 entrance.

  • 5/5 Frances A. 4 years ago on Google
Beautiful! Allow yourself a good couple of hours if you're going to walk around the whole lake as it's approx. 6 miles. But the views are amazing and if like me you're a keen photographer then you will be busy snapping away. It can get a little busy in places but it does not take away from the tranquility of the place. The car parks are a little expensive but for a chance to have a walk through the countryside this close to London it's worth it! Highly recommend and will be back soon.

Grass very patchy and full of little stones. Not worth the parking fees

Love this man made Lake ...great for long walks and picnics, has lots open space gardens, historic building and waterfall. Been here since childhood. And it's great to see so much nature around. Parking too.

Though beautiful , the images make it look much nicer than it really is. Horribly overpriced too. ยฃ3 an hour and ยฃ3 for a barely sweet hot chocolate? HARD PASS.

I have known this place for 40 years and love it. Parking has always been on the expensive side, but know it is unbelievable.

Being spoilt for choice of beautiful places to walk around Berkshire, this is still my favourite! No matter of the time of year (the majority of the walks are hard standing paths) it is always incredibly well kept and maintained. But Spring is a must see, as the flowers are incredible. Car parks are usually busy at weekends and quite expensive but worth every penny imo

A beautiful place to spend time with your family, my only advise is donโ€™t take the left to the waterfall side cuz that side is not that great but if you want see the waterfall, Go see it but donโ€™t go further as you will regret for sure. Return back to the entrance and take the right, you will enjoy all the flowers ๐Ÿ’“
