Visited Dem for lunch. I have to say the service was first class and I cannot fault them. I ordered the chicken kofta with a bed of rice and cous cous. Chicken wsa cooked with a little and taste absolutely wonderful. Very succulent and flavoursome. Rice and cous cous cooked just right. Very enjoyable meal. Highly recommend Dem Restaurant. I will definitely be visiting again.

Great restaurant. The portions are big, the prices are reasonable and the food is delicious. The bread is outstanding. I had the iskender and is was super tasty. The baklava is also pretty good if not top notch. Really great Mediterranean food in a nice atmosphere.

First time at Dem - located just off the triangle in Crystal Palace - and wow, this is a great Turkish restaurant. Warm and cosy atmosphere, friendly and attentive service, great portions and good value. The complementary bread was sensational. Really tasty selection of starters and mains - with lots of veggie options. Delicious baklava too. Wouldn’t hesitate to return!

If you order a main dish, it comes with complementary sides and bread. The bread is so delicious that you won’t stop once you start. We were so excited to see such a variety of offerings on the menu, and the staff really take care of you by advising on which menu items go with other dishes. It’s a great restaurant to bring your family, large parties, and celebrations! It’s not uncommon for this place to be completely packed so always make a booking.

We love this place! Whether you order online or visit the restaurant the food quality is always outstanding! We came for lunch last weekend and we had a blast. The owner Youssef was there, his nephew and a Bulgarian girl served us and we felt at home. Polite, quick and helpful the Dem team really took care of us. The BBQ master on shift was the man! The lamb cutlets I had are some of the best I've ever had and I've been dining out for many years! Well done! Could not fault them on anything this past Saturday. Thoroughly enjoyed our lunch and will come back soon! Teşekkür Ederim!

Strangely empty at 1pm on Good Friday. However it was a great choice to eat a huge meal. Very tasty. The staff were very welcoming. And all to happy to box up the remaining kebabs for us to take home.

Tasteful and rich. The meatballs lamb were delicious. I had the iskender with yogurt and bread. As starter halloumi served with a delicious pita bread. Polite and friendly staff. Highly recommended.

It has a nice authentic Turkish decor and welcoming. We chose a nice quiet time to go and enjoy the meal. We ordered starters I had the halloumi rating 3/5 and my friend had the falafel she rated it 3.5/5 and they give you this amazing bread as a starter that tastes amazing. No this bread. Yeah that’s a 4.5 out of 5. For the mains I ordered chicken wings with the chips instead of the rice. (As you guys know I don’t like rice) I would write the chicken wings at 3 out of 5 and my friend had the lamb shish which is her favourite, she rated it 3.5 out of 5 and she had that with everything on the plate. The meals are good. I had pineapple juice to drink and my friend had a Prosecco . I would recommend this place for a late lunch early dinner I don’t know what the crowd is like at night time as we went about 16:45/17:00 and it was not so busy. Service was a little slow. Once we finished eating, no one came round to find out how the food was and no one came to ask if we needed to the Bill. After 25 minutes of chit chat and waiting, we had to ask for the bill to be brought otherwise for that the food is good, I would say 3 1/2 out of 5. I’ve had better Turkish meals but yeah for Crystal Palace location it’s okay

Amazing tasty food on display and cooked right in front of your eyes so nothing is hidden. The menu is varied and has something for everyone…drinks are made from HEAVEN & somehow end up delivered with a smile to our table! The staff are very welcoming from the moment you enter and it’s a very clean and hygienic establishment! I love this family run business and have to say I will be back again but maybe just dine for 2 as large groups on a Friday night is ALOT!!!! Second time having a family celebration of life in this restaurant because the first time was absolutely spot on and the food was AMAZEBALLS!!!!! Last night was very busy and we had to have some negotiations with our servers about the timing and quality of food - they were very very good at making us happy with our bill as way of apology for the ‘service’ as we are all human and the chef makes mistakes also! ….this is the ONLY reason I dropped off a star for food and service otherwise its 10/10 across the board! I also recommend book in advance and arrive early and all guests on-time!!

Maybe the cold mezze didn't stand out as there were some swaps from what the menu said, but still it was nice. The main dishes were a different thing... the kebab meat was delicious, the rice, the bulgur, the roasted veggies with that punchy tomato sauce. That did stand out! Really really nice! Huge portions and super nice staff attending us!

The place is 10 min from Gypsy Hill and up the hill and poss the same distance from Crystal Palace train station. The restaurant is spacious and seems to offer outdoor( when weather permits) and indoor seating I have mixed feelings/reviews about this restaurant; the food is good and the service is great. The staff succeed in going the extra mile without being too annoying and on Wednesday evening the atmosphere was quite lively. There was a group celebrating a birthday and groups of friends catching up over dinner. The food is fresh and you can view the "meat" dish on/display and with the glass wall, you can see how they cook the meat. The whole experience seems that the restaurant is trying to elevate to some sort of fine dining experience. Which is nothing wrong with it, however, the price for the mixed grill of chicken and lamb kofta doesn't tally up with the portion of what's been served, which is two screws with 5 pc of each meat. With the main dish came some greens, and some bread was covered in spice (which gave flavor to the bread) but the bread was a bit crunchy(er) than what I expected. I would come back and trying something different.

One of the best restaurants in Crystal Palace. Super friendly staff. Amazing meats. Great value. Stunning smokey flavour on the bread and meats. The onion and salad starter is so good. The bread with that red spread, is ridiculously good. Adana is always a go to. Lamb ribs amazing. Chicken so delicious. I'd eat here everyday if i could. Everything is sooooooo tasty 🤤🤤🤤

If you're looking for authentic Turkish cuisine with a great atmosphere, then THIS is the place to be. My friend and I went last night and the food is simply, utterly, delicious! We had the hummus and a greek salad to start. The bread with the hummus was chargrilled and had meat dripping on it- so tasty! We then had one of their unbelievable meat platters which had chicken wings, chicken sheesh, lamb kofta and lamb ribs on a bed of that lovely meat dripping bread and fluffy bulgar wheat and chips on the side. Wow. Marinated to perfection and that charcoal cooked, smokey flavour. Just irresistible. We did not go home hungry! The service was warm, friendly and quick and the place was buzzing with happy eaters. HIGHLY recommended!

The food is delicious, fresh and extremely tasty. It feels like you are in Turkey. The fact that all meats are prepared literally in front if your own eyes makes the experience even better. Portions are huge and even for a big eater like myself, enough for two meals.

Crackers, this place exceeded my expectation. I walked in at 1155hrs on a Sunday thinking they weren't open yet but they welcomed us in warmly as the first customers with open arms. We were promptly seated at an appropriate table, considering we had 2x buggies. Kids were seated, and we quickly opted for a mixed grill + some extra bread. The place has a warm vibe to it and can tell it would get super busy on a Friday night considering they serve Turkish cuisine + alcohol. It wasn't long before the food landed alongside the usual extras: salads + dips + roasted onions in a balsamic marinade. The food was spot on, and at no point were we made to feel unwelcome with 2x small children. Super warm, super hospitable. We topped up on some chips midway through, and they were ready within the minute. A super efficient operation. There were more kids in the background making a racket, allaying any anxiety we might have had having noisy children. Once we wrapped up, we asked for 2x cups of Turkish tea and asked for the bill. The best was kept till last when 2x slices of baklava appeared + 2x lollipops for the little ones. A nice touch, nobody is left behind. Generous food, warm welcome + atmosphere & prompt service.

Great restaurant. The meal was great, the portions are generous, and the prices are reasonable. They've done a fantastic job, and I'm really picky when it comes to the flavor and taste of lamb.

A wonderfully delicious meal with free starters and baklava. So much food we struggled to finish but able to take home for a cheeky snack later. We would definitely recommend. Great restaurant, lovely food, friendly staff, nice atmosphere and reasonably priced.
