I recently had surgery at Goring Hall and highly recommend this hospital. From the outpatients experience ( special thanks to Carol, Zena and Michelle LB for their assistance and courtesy ) to the ward and theatre staff who took amazing care of me throughout. The ward doctor Ayo was exceptionally compassionate and made such a difference to a stressful time when I needed pain management and he listened carefully and went above and beyond to help me be more comfortable. The estate is clean and well run and every step of my journey was efficient and ran smoothly and seemingly effortlessly ( although I know how hard staff work and this is much appreciated) I had a maintenance issue and Cheryl facilitated attention to this in a swift time frame and nothing was too much trouble - thank you ! The food was delicious too ! Steve, my assigned physio is excellent and is currently helping me get back on my feet. He is kind and has spent time really listening to me alongside putting me through my paces ! Overall I would like it known that I would have pleasure in recommending this hospital and it’s staff and would like to thank everyone for making my experience a really positive one.

Posting on behalf of my mother in law; I have been into Goring Hall this week to have a steroid injection in my hip. I would just like to say how wonderful Mr Shah and his team were. They were great at making me feel relaxed and all through my treatment he was speaking to me, letting me know what he was doing. I just wanted to thank them again for the care, kindness and excellent treatment I received. Highly recommended.

Very disappointed unfortunately. As a customer of Circle Windsor, I called Goring Hall on a Tuesday morning to ask about an urgent procedure and was promised a call back. Nothing on Wednesday. Thursday I called back 3 times first to the national helpline, then was transferred to the direct line. I waited on hold each time for 10 minutes. Nobody picked up. In the end I just got in the car to ask at front desk and discovered the procedure is not offered here. I could have saved 48 urgent hours if someone on the national helpline knew the answer, or if the hospital picked up. Not the quality I'd hoped for.

I had a total knee replacement this week and am so impressed with every aspect of the process. The pre-operation assessment was comprehensive and notes reviewed by an anesthetist in advance of the operation. This enabled me to have a reassuring discussion, prior to surgery, about the need for a GA, given my difficult spinal history. The hospital has an excellent workforce; whatever their role, staff are friendly, caring and interested in knowing patients as people. There is a harmonious feel to the wards and patients are made to feel welcome and at home. The procedure went smoothly and aftercare was thorough. Communication was excellent at every stage of the way. Housekeeping services are excellent and food beautifully prepared and presented. I could not have had a better experience anywhere and recommend Goring Hall without reservation.

I underwent surgery for a hernia repair. My care was excellent and the aftercare too. The staff(administration, nursing and doctors) were all both kind and efficient. I would most definitely commend this hospital

Great experience at Goring Hall today. Lovely nurses who went out of their way to explain and reassure me throughout my stay and procedure. I was very nervous but they couldn’t have been calmer or more helpful. And the amazing Vivian from catering! What a lady. The funniest, kindest most lovely person to be alongside you during a hospital visit. She deserves a medal. Thank you to all of the staff.

The Doctors and Nurses at Goring hall were First-Class. Just the right amount of attention and not once did I feel nervous or anxious. Incredible care, Thank you. First time I’ve been admitted to any hospital for 30 years and I can honestly say I’ve paid a lot of money to have worse customer service. Amazing!

Sally and Stephanie were both very professional and very friendly. Treated me as a normal intelligent human being, which was appreciated. And the blood test was sensitively done!! Thank you I can’t see how to write another review! So am adding to this one. Had my hand surgery yesterday, and it was made almost enjoyable! Lizzie was great and looked after me without fuss. What can I say about Granny Vivian?! Everyone needs a Granny V. When I said how much I enjoyed her tea, she brought me 2 more (very welcome!) mugs. Just delightful ❤️

This was my first experience of this kind and I did not know what to expect. From the moment I arrived and was taken to my room, which was sparkling clean, everything was explained to me in detail, and I was never brushed off if I asked a question. The staff, all of them, were attentive and caring and understanding; nothing was too much trouble . What could have been a really fearsome experience was relaxed and reassuring.

Had an appointment with Sue, Physio, today following my hip operation. Sue is very clear with her instructions and really positive. It was great to know I am on the right road to recovery. Can’t thank her enough for all her help. Tim Meredith

Exceptional experience - from pre-op through to day of surgery and whole experience. Everyone was super friendly, caring, very thorough. I felt extremely well cared for and also well protected - important in these times. Very clear that there is a strong patient first ethos in this hospital which I have not seen to this extent in others.

My husband recently had an ultrasound guided steroid injection in his foot at Goring Hall Hospital. He was very nervous, but Dr. Mazrani and Dolly set his nerves at ease and provided top class care throughout the appointment. The facilities are clean and calming, and everyone else on the staff that we interacted with were helpful and friendly. The best part was the post-injection hot chocolate (for him!) from the complimentary machine in the waiting room. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hospital for your private medical care needs.

I recently had my Pre-op assessment at Goring Hall. I was greeted by nurse Sally Elliott who took me to the Assessment Room and gave me a thorough explanation of what was going to happen during my appointment. She made feel so at ease !! To go through the necessary procedure we were joined by a young nurse, Jade. She was very caring and everything went so smoothly, l couldn’t have asked for anything more, both staff members were exceptional !!!!

Had a my pre op assessment with Catherine who was friendly, reassuring and informative. The day of surgery ran very smoothly and everyone who I met were so supportive and friendly. Granny V (catering) was very attentive after the surgery.

All members of staff here are so warm and friendly. From admission to leaving I was treated with respect and care. Special mention for Granny Vivian who served me the best tea and sandwich after my procedure with a beautiful smile. Also do my nurse Kayley who looked after me so well

I've recently had a knee replacement at Goring Hall Hospital. Whilst on my stay on the ward I was served my evening meal by Granny Vivian from catering. What an absolute delight this lady is. So thoughtful and caring to the extent of bringing the starter out first and following with the main course so it didn't get cold. She had a wonderful smile on her face but still remained very professional in her service. An absolute joy.

Supposed to see James in the Physio dept but we got the time wrong and arrived 30 minutes late. They were amazing and made sure that we still saw someone. We saw Steven who was fantastic. Very grateful that they went out their way.

Michelle, catering Again, nothing was too much trouble and the service excellent. I have a bit of a tea indulgence ( I like a cup on the go nearly all the time). The food was top quality very tasty indeed. Almost can't wait to come back for my other hip🤣

The staff in the Imaging Unit are the most helpful and friendly people you will ever meet. Mr Shah the consultant orthopaedic surgeon I have seen is highly recommended helpful and very skilful. The radiographers Denise and Gary have been so nice and reassuring, and for them, nothing is too much trouble. I am so glad to have been under their care, sadly the NHS seems to struggle to reach these high standards.

I've just had a stay in Goring Hall Hospital for a hip replacement. The surgery was a huge success, and the level of care from everyone has been second to none. The rooms are private and very comfortable, the nurses are all amazing, and then the catering service from Granny Vivian is the icing on the cake (so happy and friendly, and each course served individually to ensure the food is fresh and warm)

From the moment I arrived at 7.30am I was seen by a succession of staff the nurse who booked me in was immaculately presented and displayed great knowledge and confidence. Sultan the nurse who was responsible for my care was excellent throughout my time there and ensured I was prepared for my treatment. The anaesthetist was excellent and listened to my concerns and agreed to a local anaesthetic rather than a general. This was contrary to scheduled treatment and I’m totally grateful for his knowledge and ability. And of course the surgeon Simon Palmer. He was excellent and talked me through what he would do and my aftercare. Many thanks to everyone and please thank Sultan for me for his attention. By the way the sandwich was excellent as well.

Great experience at Goring Hall. From reception staff to Nurses, Consultants and Catering. I was taken from reception area to my bed for prep. Susan was my assigned Nurse on arriving and was 1st class and attentive from moment I arrived. She undertook questions / prep checks and helped to explain process. What stood out was just how knowledgeable, personable and friendly she was. It helped me overcome the anxiety I was experiencing because of my procedure. The general conversation mixed in with some moments of laughter massively helped my state of mind. I saw this replicated with other patients on the ward by all the nurses. It’s great to see. Thanks to Vivian in catering also who very prompt in helping me pick my food requirements, upon my arrival into ward and delivery shortly after my op. In terms of the op experience I was made to feel comfortable when in operating theatre by Mr Baig and his colleagues and treated very well throughout. This helped remove anxiety I was feeling immediately. Post procedure Ali and Susan were great in helping to ensure I was comfortable and carrying out all the necessary checks. Also took time to talk me through next steps. Entire hospital was extremely clean and just had a welcoming atmosphere. I would highly recommend Goring hall hospital without any hesitation.

I had a TKR at Goring Hall three weeks ago and had excellent care from all the nursing staff, my surgeon Mr Palmer and his colleagues who I am very grateful to. I am recovering well and so pleased I chose to go to Goring Hall despite it not being the nearest hospital to me. I had a very comfortable room with a lovely view over the grounds which helped me relax. The food was good though I didn’t have much of an appetite, mostly interested in having ‘sparkling water’ to drink which the kitchen staff always managed to find for me. I would recommend Goring Hall Hospital to everyone. Thank you all 💕

Thank you for your professionalism and care. The energy' / atmosphere in your department was so calming my blood pressure hardly moved even though I get white coat syndrome! To be invited for my op 7 days from assessment was beyond belief. I have absolutely no doubt that Mr. Lam is one of the very best surgeons in the country. Thank you so much.

I recently had hip replacement surgery at Goring Hall under Mr Shah and his team. I have to admit to being rather nervous about the procedure but my fears were soon allayed by the kindness and professionalism of all concerned. I was greeted and prepared for surgery by 2 lovely nurses . I was treated with friendliness and dignity and soon began to relax. I was then handed over to Dr Uncles and his very kind and friendly assistant Ronnie. I don't remember a great deal more until I woke up in recovery, having had Spinal anaesthesia! My aftercare was faultless, the nurses and on site doctor fantastic , particularly in attending to my pain issues! My grateful thanks to you all, not only nurses and doctors but porters, catering staff and physio as well. I will be returning for more surgery in the months to come and will approach that time with far less trepidation. I thoroughly recommend Goring Hall hospital.

The whole team were excellent from when I arrived to leaving. The nursing and physio staff were friendly, chatty and attentive, nothing was too much trouble. Having had a knee replacement I was kept informed and put at ease by the surgery team. Fully recommend the hospital. Thank you everyone, especially James Lewis on carrying out the surgery.

The staff at Goring Hall Hospital were all amazing - warm and friendly, approachable and extremely competent/knowledgeable. Every interaction I had with a member of the hospital, be it the nurses, surgeon, catering staff and cleaners was extremely welcoming and positive. The room was really comfortable and I had everything I needed to make my stay as comfortable as possible. The facilities were kept clean and the food was delicious with a wide selection of choices. Overall, my stay at Goring Hall was extremely positive and I could not recommend it more for the level of care they provide.

Very friendly staff all throughout my day case experience. They kept me informed with waiting times and what to expect with my procedure. Also, the catering lady is simply amazing, the world needs more people like her. The food (I had the Salmon sandwich), was very nice. The hospital is also very clean with comfortable beds. The only small downside is that the cubicle is not a private room and you can hear other patients conversations.. lucky this did not bother me as there were some lovely patients about and it was nice to say hello... others may prefer more privacy.

I recently had a surgical procedure here as a day case. Mr Salim my surgeon was very kind and attentive and the anesthesiologist (I've forgotten his name) was also fantastic and very good at calming me down before I went under. The nurses and staff were fantastic. Kaley was particularly wonderful, staying with me when I was being given the anaesthetic. Ali was brilliant, checking in on me regularly and always making sure I was comfortable and didn't need anything. Teresa was kind and looked after me when I needed it. Overall I've had a good first experience at Goring Hall with (sadly) more to come. Thank you to the staff who looked after me!

Wonderful experience and a super, great nurse, Susan. I Went in for day surgery, and was kept informed before the day and throughout the morning. The day ward was clean with a lovely views of the grounds(attached from bed 5). I had a follow up appointment before I left, but wasn't rushed. Latte was hot and sandwiches fresh. Well worth it.

Whilst your website states "We aim to provide the highest standards in all aspects of patient care", this was certainly not the case when I visited the Physiotherapy Department at Goring Hall Hospital today 9 August 2023. After booking in for my 11.30 a.m. appointment, I was still waiting at 11.45 a.m. No member of staff could be bothered or was not interested enough in the care of their patients to inform me what was happening with my appointment. It was left to me to determine the cause of the delay from not really interested staff. A big disappointment from my experiences of visiting other departments within the Hospital. I should make it clear that none of these comments refer to my physiotherapist, who was excellent.

Stephen King and his team were absolutely superb in helping me yesterday. I am severely disabled and need to be hoisted for all transfers in particular for a CT scan. They were all extremely considerate, professional and caring. Thanks to all the team in radiography.

I always felt that I was the important person and that they made sure I knew what they were doing. Although it was my second cataract operation there they didn't make any assumptions that I remembered anything. Some patients might have preferred more privacy when their conditions were discussed but I was in good health so was not concerned.

I've just recently had replacement knee surgery. The care I got from both the nurses during my stay and the physio therapist has been amazing. I would like to say a massive thank you to Lesley who has encouraged me to be where I am today Thank you

Lesley and Juliet were both so lovely during my partners Pre assessment. They were both so welcoming and chatty and really made us feel at ease. They explained in detail every part of the procedure down to what my partner would be doing when he woke up from his surgery. This was our first time at this hospital and we had a great first impression.

Excellent care provided by the whole team before and after my knee op. The nurses were polite attentive and efficient. Viviene looked after me with post op sandwiches and coffee which helped me feel better after the general anesthetic. Physio arrived promptly and was able to get me up and waliking quickly. Brilliant care by the Goring Hall team.

The whole experience from my self funded self referral for diagnosis to the eventual arthroscopy was excellent. I felt confident and very well cared for by everyone. The surgical procedure was so reassuring with all staff being friendly, informative and professional. I am very grateful. The admin communication was excellent too throughout. The cleanliness, catering and comfort was fabulous. It was overall faultless and my knee feels so much better already!

I had a total knee replacement at Goring Hall in February 2023. All of the staff - nurses, physio, catering staff were so kind and friendly. The care I received whilst recovering was outstanding, staff not only managed my pain well but took the time to listen to me and reassure me about any concerns which really helped me with my recovery. My room was clean and comfortable and the food was good, plenty of choice and just the right sized portions. Going into hospital is always daunting but being in Goring Hall made the experience much more pleasant and relaxed. Thank you to all especially the wonderful nurses who cared for me! Rosemary Needs 21/7/23 Have just had my last physio session with Lesley Anne and want to thank her so much for her advice and encouragement during my rehab journey. It has been a tough journey and I still have a way to go but Lesley Anne has been very instrumental in all the progress I have made and motivating me when it's got tough.

Had to visit for a pre assessment. Both Catherine and Juliette were both so professional, clear, patient and caring. Went out of their way to put me at ease and made sure that I was comfortable about the upcoming procedure. This was my first assessment at any hospital and have had a great first impression.
