A solid tour guide makes a great tour. Isabella was pretty thoroughly prepared and gave a fantastic perspective of life in Oxford alongside the known facts and history (which was a lot of fun tidbits and hidden secrets of the town even fans wouldn’t know). She was also just delightful. 10/10 would do again. Buildings very pretty, it all went too quickly for the enjoyment of it :)

Recently, I embarked on a magical journey through the enchanting world of Harry Potter in Oxford, and what unfolded over the course of nearly 2.5 to 3 hours was nothing but of a mystical experience. Leading the way was our extraordinary guide, Peter, whose performance far surpassed any expectations. Peter had a unique ability to captivate audiences of all ages, from the youngest wizarding enthusiasts to their parents, and he sweetened the deal by offering candies as rewards for correct answers during his engaging quizzes. Peter's storytelling was generously laced with impeccable British humor and peppered with a handful of personal anecdotes that effortlessly forged a deep connection between us and the city of Oxford. After bidding farewell to the tour, I was pleasantly surprised to find a follow-up email, complete with links to several films exploring the fascinating intersection of Harry Potter and Oxford. It was as if Peter's magic lingered long after our adventure had ended, inviting me to continue my exploration. In all honesty, I would eagerly sign up for any tour guided by Peter, solely to savour his captivating narratives on any subject. If you're seeking an unforgettable experience, I wholeheartedly recommend treating yourself to a tour with him. Just remember to have comfortable shoes for the journey and have a bottle of water to stay refreshed throughout this magical expedition.

Outstanding tour guide. Tom went above and beyond to give us so much thoughtful detail about the Inklings and the history of Oxford through the lens of Catholicism and the Church of England. A tour that was made lovely by a natural flow of conversation and Tom's rich insight into C.S. Lewis, Tolkien, and the other Inklings, as well as his scholarly understanding of the buildings of Oxford. Highly recommend! Best tour I've ever done.

I took the tour with some friends and the tour was excellent. I got more insights than what I expected and enjoyed every minutes of it. The tour guide was excellent and knowledgeable being an Oxford alumni himself. I highly recommend the tour.

We did the Inspector Morse, Lewis and Endeavour walking tour yesterday. Tom was our guide and he was fantastic! His knowledge of Oxford in general and all things Morse was superb! Tom ensured that all these elements came together which created a great afternoon for us! In addition, Tom’s understanding of Medieval history added another perspective. Can’t recommend Tom highly enough on this tour!

Terrific Inspector Morse/Oxford tour with Tom! We are big fans of the show and Tom brought it to life. First trip to Oxford and he did such a good job of filling in historical facts in a way that told a story. Great afternoon!

Tom was a fantastic guide - his knowledge of Oxford was off the charts! Tom was willing to combine both a Morse/Endeavour tour and an Inklings Tour and spent 6 hours with us. Anybody can point at something and tell you what it is; Tom took time to explain the relevance to the 2 tours. Our last stop was at a local pub that has operated since 1242. My best day in England was spent in Oxford, and Tom made it a truly great lifetime memory.

We enjoyed our Inklings Tour and history of Oxford with Tom today. He is so knowledgeable and communicates well. He kept us moving for over 3.5 hours! Since it was our only opportunity to visit the sights of Oxford and hear about CS Lewis, JRR Tolkien and their cohort of writers, we greatly appreciated the thoroughness. We are inspired to read more about all we saw and heard.

Tom was incredible. My kids said he was like a human encyclopedia! His thoughtful and detailed stories of Lewis and Tolkien and The Inklings and honestly Oxford history was moving and lovely! I feel like we stumbled open Oxfords greatest treasure in Tom! THANK YOU TOM!

We had a great Harry Potter tour led by Alistair. First he gave an introduction with some Hogwarts clothing especially for children. As Dutch people it was very good to understand the guide. Besides Potter information we also got a lot about history, writers and famous people who studied in Oxford.

Peter was our tour guide. He made the afternoon fantastically interesting for all three generations that took part. I would highly recommend this tour company and Peter in particular.

I went on the Oxford & Harry Potter Walking Tour. It was fantastic! My guide, Peter, was very knowledgeable about all things Oxford and Harry Potter. He even shared other interesting facts about the city I was not expecting to learn. He was super sweet and gave us some props and snacks to have along the way! It was time well spent. I highly recommend!

We did the 90 minute Harry Potter walking tour with our teenagers who are big Harry Potter fans. Not only did we get to see places where the movies were filmed, but we also got some great history about Oxford. We had Alasdair as out tour guide and he was energetic and fun. He was super helpful at the end of the tour and dropped us off at one of the colleges we wanted to visit.

We booked very last minute and so pleased that we did as our tour guide Peter was absolutely outstanding. If visiting Oxford then it is a must you go on one of Visit Oxford Tours. We went on the 90 minute Harry Potter tour with our 8 year old son. Peter went above and beyond of what we expected with endless treats and surprises along the way. Although our tour was focused on Harry Potter with Peter’s wealth of knowledge we were educated on the history of Oxford to modern day. There is no doubt at all that going on one of Visit Oxford’s tours you will have a far greater insight to Oxford and all that it offers than trying to navigate the City on your own. We were sad when our tour ended and will certainly return to experience one of Peter’s other tours.

An amazing guided Harry Potter Tour! Laura our guide was excellent and very informative. She took us a group of 10 people around important sites informing in detail about the history of the important heritage sites. Peter also was very professional and gave the kids ice cream in the hot weather. Very thoughtful and considerate! The whole family enjoyed the walk and I would definitely recommend 'visit Oxford tours '!

We did the walking food tour of Oxford today with Alistair and I can't recommend it enough. He took us to food and drink stops off the beaten track and they were all fantastic. He also gave us tips on things to do and places to see for the rest of our visit to beautiful Oxford. Just brilliant. 🙂

This is a fantastic walking tour for everyone in the family! My husband is a history nerd , my daughter a Harry Potter fan and I just love touring new places ! Peter our tour guide was great , he was very knowledgeable about Oxford and Harry Potter , his interaction with the group was brilliant! My daughter loved answering the questions and learning new facts. He was able to answer all my husband’s questions about Oxford and it’s history ! It was also great to learn about the other great authors such as CS Lewis and to see his inspiration for parts of Narnia Chronicles was an added bonus ! Peter’s recommendations for places to eat, shop and drink were great ! We tried a few out and thoroughly enjoyed them ! A great way to spend an afternoon!

We had a fabulous time on the “Oxford: Inspector Morse Lewis Endeavour Small Group Tour”. Our guide, Tom, was excellent – very informative and entertaining – and we had a lovely afternoon. Tom was very pleasant to talk to and we heard delightful stories about many historical places as well as how they related to episodes of Morse, Lewis and Endeavour. We even saw Endeavour being filmed so that was a bonus. We were also greatly impressed with the way that Tom conducted the tour at a gentle pace to suit my mum as she has mobility issues. Would definitely recommend.
