Small but charming local City airport. You won’t be hearing the loud speakers going off every minute. You as the flyer have to pay attention to the screens to locate your gate and know when your flight will take off. Small shops and restaurants once you pass through security. The only funny thing is that as a passenger, you will feel the G’s (G force) as your plane takes off super fast (not bad, but funny). Overall, loved the experience.

The location of the airport is really great as it is near to the centre that you can arrive easy with the oyster card. A very small one that makes things sometimes easier. Don't expect any shops or bars open, as I arrived at 9pm everything was closed.

Small cool airport in the city. Amazing location. Suitable for small aircrafts with a runway next to the river. Cool view of the airplanes with an amazing background. Small terminal with limited food options with airport pric£s as per usual. Using public transportation is easy to get in and out.

Easy, efficient, and clean. Unlike Stansted Airport, no one shouts at you.. In fact you don't have to take out your phone or laptop. It is small and compact with the smallest Boots I have ever seen. Easy to get to on the DLR. Will be using this Airport more often.

The airport is somehow very small and you would expect it to be efficient. There are very few options if you need to wait for your flight. Many flights are delayed and seems like they have their own rules there (taking all electronics equipment out and mascara considered liquid and in plastic bags, really?). Unnecessary « security » protocol which ended up taking us so much time. I travel a lot and this is by far the worst experience I had when it comes to security - staff is friendly though but management need to review their rules.

Convenient and swift service. Departures is a little small and cramped. No need to get here 2/3 hours before your flight. Top tip, walk around to gates 3-9 and sit in a quiet area with a view of the run way

Speedy checkin, New and Improved Baggage checks, no need to remove laptops, liquids etc from bags. Absolutely breeze to go through. Good facilities for coffee and a bite to eat and reasonable duty free options too. Overall a highly convenient Airport taking into the heart of London and beyond.

Best airport experience I have had in a long time. Newest security scanners make life easy going through and due to the airports fairly small size it’s very easy to get around. Decent selection of food and drink airside as well. Transport links all well covered too.

City Airport is much better than Luton, Gatwick or Heathrow. Specially Luton which is like a bus terminal than an airport. City airport is clean, full of security, quick check in, advance technology for clearing liquids and luggage. Quick process of everything and all the seats in waiting rooms have usb for charging. Duty free and many cafes. Easy to travel to Airport by bus & DLR. what I like most is it’s spacious and have fresh air.

London City Airport, nestled in the heart of the capital, is a unique and strategically located airport that caters primarily to business travelers and city commuters. Situated on the former Royal Docks in East London, this compact airport has earned a reputation for its efficiency and convenience. Designed to minimize travel time for passengers, London City Airport is in close proximity to the city's financial district, making it a preferred choice for those conducting business in London. The airport's single runway and short taxiing distance contribute to swift departures and arrivals, enhancing the overall travel experience. Despite its smaller size compared to other London airports, London City Airport offers a range of amenities and services. The terminal features lounges, shops, and dining options, ensuring that travelers have access to essential facilities while waiting for their flights. One of the airport's unique features is its steep approach and takeoff procedures, necessitated by its location and surrounded by urban development. This distinctive aspect provides passengers with spectacular aerial views of London's iconic landmarks during both arrival and departure. The airport's commitment to sustainability is reflected in its efforts to reduce environmental impact. London City Airport has implemented various eco-friendly initiatives, including advanced air traffic control technology, energy-efficient infrastructure, and a focus on noise reduction measures. London City Airport's strategic location, emphasis on efficiency, and commitment to sustainability make it a key player in London's air transportation network, seamlessly connecting the city to major European business destinations.

Splendid airport, benefitting from an experienced travel crowd and very efficient security process. A “good enough” selection of shops after security and a smooth and unrushed boarding experience. I love flying through here.

Great Airport. Super quick security whilst still being thorough. Good selection of eateries and pubs, all staff are super friendly and helpful for nervous flyers. Will definitely use again. Flew to Edinburgh on a plane that was like a packet of chewing gum with wings 😁✈️ that being said, British Airways staff were wonderful and really caring and informative of any changes during flight.

First time at LCY and overall very good. Car parking was easy, short walk to terminal. Check-in and security relatively quick, although you can tell space is at a premium here. Return journey was dogged by e gates not working, so a 25 minute queue for Border Control but the staff were good at communicating and keeping things going. We will be back!

Small capacity airport with city shuttle connections all important points in Europe. Smooth and tiny security check. Short term with few coffee and bar food. No need to be 3h before the gate closes 1h 30min will be enough if you are backpacking and check in done.

It's a small airport, the location is really great. It's in the center of the city, quick to get from the plane to the DLR or a taxi. It's as a great views. There's no stress carrying loads. Everything is well organized.

So we'll designed! Public transport directly in, self serv check in and bag drops, plenty of desks if needed to. Security was fast and well organised with places to eat and drink in departures. Calm atmosphere, easy to navigate, great experience.

Exceptionally quick and hassle free on departure. Security staff who aren't shouting at you or ordering you around - very refreshing indeed for a British airport. The arrival back was a bit strange. It was very easy to miss the domestic baggage belt, and several people did, and then weren't allowed to return to collect their baggage, Instead a staff member had to collect it for them. Better signs needed. Prices for food were utterly extortionate, but it was calm and relaxed.

One of my favourite London Airports to travel from and to... Close and convenient parking, can get through security and to gate within 30 mins. All the amenities and facilities you need and easy to use website. If leaving short notice and no onsite parking, recommend the JustPark app, which has some reasonably priced parking spaces a couple of minutes away from the airport departures entrance. Quick and easy access to the DLR, to either head into Canary Wharf or connect with the Jubilee or new Queen Elizabeth Lines, connecting to Central/West London and other London Airports. Can't recommend London City Airport enough... Travel to Edinburgh frequently and this would be my go to airport of choice.

It's one of the closest airports in central London. If you want to travel to Europe then this airport is most convenient.

Easy to get through compared to the other London airports. Very nice approach over the city. Baggage comes out fast. The only issue is the jet fumes in the walking corridor after you leave the plane and go to immigration.

I recently had the opportunity to travel through London City Airport and was thoroughly impressed with the experience. The airport is well-organized and efficient, making it easy for travelers to navigate through the terminal and complete the necessary check-in and security processes. The staff at the airport were friendly and helpful, providing clear instructions and assistance when needed. The security process was quick and streamlined, which made the whole experience much more pleasant. One thing that stood out to me was the convenience of the airport's location. Situated in the heart of London, the airport offers easy access to the city center, making it a great choice for business travelers and tourists alike. The airport also offers a variety of dining and shopping options, allowing travelers to relax and enjoy their time in the terminal. The facilities were clean and well-maintained, adding to the overall positive experience. Overall, I was very impressed with London City Airport. The airport is well-run, convenient, and offers a range of amenities for travelers. The staff are courteous and efficient, and the whole experience was seamless. I would highly recommend this airport to anyone traveling to or from London.

I am getting used to this local airport now. Easy access, quick drop off with no payment, payment for up to 20 minutes in the waiting area, short and long stay parking and short distance to the desk.

Small but good airport. They have USB and power points next to every seat at the gates - great! Didn't have to walk ages through the airport to get to places, which I liked. Not lots of food options but there's a Pret and other cafes. Was easy to get to using the DLR.

Small and efficient airport, close to city center. Check-in and security took just minutes. It’s a “silent airport” i.e. without announcements, which makes the wait really more pleasant than in other airports. Walked a few meters from gate to the plane. Gate 24 is down a ramp of stairs, not sure how it is accessible otherwise.

City Airport is the closest you can feel like travelling exclusive. Professional Check in with BA Security, Search smooth and moves swiftly. If there’s one thing is that you have to walk up to the plane but thinking about it I do like it…. Watch out consumers for big price difference in BUYING WATER at London City for Bottle of Evian 750ml at WH SMITH £2.99 but at Boots for the same bottle it’s £1.45 was a difference feels like I’ve been scammed I had to buy the boots water bottle at that price. And I had to reveal it to you all….

Always a pleasant experience traveling from LCY. Since the airport is small, it’s quick to get through and usually only takes few minutes; especially since you don’t have to take out liquids or electronics from your bags now. By far my favorite airport in London - hope they add more destinations!

Being small it's really quick to get from the plane to the DLR or a taxi. Same going. Check in online. Pass security and you are at your gate. Great views of the planes talking off and landing. Downside is that if connecting you have to go land side and go through security. Second down side, no lounges
