Lovely atmosphere and fantastic service, unfortunately, the food fell short, it was very hit and miss. My beef roast was actually great, the beef was tender and flavoursome, absolutely loved the carrots, however, the potatoes had no flavour and were very dry, and the gravy, tasted wrong, I couldn't eat it, it had a weird sweet taste to it. The Ribeye was OK, not sure if it's because he had gotten a medium, but there was not much flavour at all, which is shocking as a ribeye should be packed with flavour. The mushrooms were covered in chives, and ended up just tasting of onions, wasn't very enjoyable, the prawns were also lacking flavour, definitely needed more seasoning, we shouldn't have to rely on the sauce for all the taste. But the spinach was nice. The cocktails weren't very sweet, but they were accommodating, and were happy to make it sweeter for me. All and all, it was a lovely experience, but standards need to be raised with the food.

Close call between a 4 and a 5 star. Steak is exceptional, and given that is the most important criteria here, I'll go for a 5. Surprisingly affordable wine (in the scheme of things), good IPA, mostly very good roast dinner - though gravy very bland. Definitely worth a visit, I will be back to a Goodman for a proper steak experience.

Absolutely lovely! Great atmosphere and well trained stuff. High quality food and definitely the best truffle chips ever. Highly recommend it, especially when it gets dark outside and you are surrounded by the lights of the building in front of the river. Definitely coming back

Great meal and great service, wife brought me here for my birthday. Service was good, staff were nice and took time to discuss the menu, allergies etc. Menu had halal options including halal steaks (but not all steaks so always check with them). The medium rare rib eye steaks we chose was delicious, meat was so tender and knife cut through it like it was butter. Mocktails, steak chips, sauces were nice. Was a great birthday meal, quite expensive but for a special occasion it was one of the best steaks I've had.

Been to a few Goodman before and this is by far the best experiences we had, and so we returned for the second time! There is a very good relationship between the staffs, some bantering with each other (sometimes they would get the customers involved so it was fun for us). They have excellent knowledge on steak and happy to share them with the customers. Drinks are really good, steak was done excellently, sides are amazing, make sure you have plenty of space in your belly! I can't wait to go back for the 3rd time and many times after.

Had a delicious Sunday roast here. We shared the Rib Roast for Two which costs about £80 for two people to share. The quality of the food was really good however due to the price, I'd recommend it for special occasions as it's well above what most can expect to pay for a typical Sunday Roast. That said, the service was fantastic and the staff were really friendly and attentive. It's definitely worth a visit if you're in Canary Wharf.

Great service and bigger than the Mayfair one! I went with a clear idea of what I was having, but the waitress tried to recommend me better options, which I have tried before, that's why I stayed with what I had decided from before. My honest pleasure to Mandy, she was always paying attention to any detail and neccesity around and giving the best explanations ! quick service, it surprised me as when we finish our small chat the food was already in the table. Great wine selection, location and cuts! :) Will be soon there, if not this week ! Pd: The sides are missing beef dripping fries!

I'm not a steak lover but this place is great! Strongly recommended to steak lover. They have their own aging room here. "Even the spinach is nice"

This is the spot for all meat lovers, I’m actually a vegetarian but understand just how serious this restaurant takes meat! So I often bring friends here who really fancy one of the best steaks in london… they bring you out a meat board of all their latest cuts and describe in detail about the marbeling of the fat and what that means on your pallet. I really would say this place does the best bernaise sauce I think I’ve ever tried! You won’t be disappointed.

Goodman's welcomes you with warm, friendly staff and starts your experience right with top-notch cocktails, allowing a seamless transition from bar to table. The Miraval Rosé was a delightful find, making Goodman's the first to serve our current favorite. Starters were a high note, especially the tempura prawns, leading to high expectations for the main course. We chose the UK ribeye and the Japanese Wagyu. While the ribeye was a tender and flavorful delight, the Wagyu fell short, leading us to express our disappointment. The host attempted a resolution, offering alternatives, but timing had our meals cooling, so we settled on finishing the ribeye. They did end offering some extra drinks and coming some other bits. Desserts brought the experience back up with a delectable cheesecake and sorbet. Here’s a breakdown of our experience: - Cocktails: 5* - Starters: 5* - Mains: 3* - Desserts: 4.5* - Service: 4* - Atmosphere: 3* We aimed for a stellar steak experience, and given Goodman’s high ratings, the unmet expectations were a letdown, impacting the overall experience and necessitating a reconsideration of its reputed standing. As you can see from the photos we left most of the wagyu. --- "Enjoyed this review? Hit the like button and follow for more honest insights on local spots!" ---

Well, very disappointed they have stopped serving lobster. Starters were scallops which were so good, my bluefin tuna tartare was bland. We both opted for the ribeye which was perfectly cooked, but really think a surf & turf should be on the menu. Truffle and Parmesan chips were great. Didn’t have dessert so can’t comment. So… above dinner for 2 with a £40 bottle of wine and a beer, over £300!!

We had lunch at Goodman restaurant. The server strongly suggested the prawn tempura, and we decided to try it along with the bluefin tuna tartare. The shrimp tempura here is more like deep-fried shrimp, which is different from the traditional Japanese version I'm used to. I highly recommend the bluefin tuna tartare, it's absolutely delightful! For the steaks, we enjoyed a 900-gram US ribeye and a 250-gram Scottish fillet; both were good. I also love the spiced carrots here. they're absolutely amazing too.

A perfect meal with a perfect waitress who made sure my preference of halal food was taken care of with precision, going as far we to let me know the parmesan was made from animal peofucts. The food was lovely and the atmosphere was lovely and inviting The waitress refilled any water or wine that she saw was getting low and added a nice touch to a meal. Prawn tempura was delicious with a spicy mayo and avacado sauce. The steak was cooked to a perfect medium and served with really good steak knives and a lovely peppercorn sauce. The cream spinach was a nice flavour with the meatiness of the steak. The truffle parmesan chips (minus the parmesan) had a good amount of flavourful truffle and tasted very decadent. The cookie Sunday was a great desert to end the meal and relax the flavours on the pallet. All in all one of the best meals I have ever had and it was halal. I really appreciate the staff taking the extra mile for the customers regarding this. Thanks I will definitely come back again and will recommend this to everyone.

Great service and amazing chocolate cake desert! However the burger (rather dry) and meet (ribeye with more fat than meet). Further more the atmosphere is not that nice especially the extremely unromantic lighting on the Terrasse.

We dined here on a Sunday night, thus restaurant using the Sunday menu (limited, but we thought was good enough). We were greeted and seated inside promptly. Great ambiance inside the restaurant, nicely decorated, to match the steak house theme. Our server was attentive, professional, and cordial. The Manager stopped by our table to check on us, nice touch! My Aviation Martini was perfect! I ordered the USDA Fillet thinking more of Fillet Mignon, but to me was more of a sirloin. It was well prepared, as ordered, but not of the consistency I was expecting. For side dish, the Mac & Cheese was yummy. Not sure if I will patronize this establishment again just because the dining experience was good but not exceptional, and given that there are so many other restaurants to try in Canary Wharf.

Amazing service here. Above and beyond. Can’t remember our server’s name but he was Greek. He came out patiently explained all the cuts and choices. Delicious steak and sides. Our sons did not have steak like we did (a small filet and large bone in aged rib eye) but they enjoyed the Mac and cheese and tuna. Desserts were fantastic— not overly sweet.

Lovely, stylish restaurant with great river views. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Steaks were pricey but delicious, the best in town. The desserts were also special. We had the Chocolate ice cream Sundae and Petit Fours.

Superb steak, superb service and everything just brilliant. There was two of us and we share the UK t-bone sirloin ( I think it was the sirloin) which was very tasty! The meet was so juicy and flavorful u really don’t need any of the sauces. Many people also suggested the chips, but I found nth special abt it. The cream spinach was a perfect compliment to the steak and a very generous serving. Will definitely visit again!

Me and my family had a very great dinner at this restaurant. Also, it was not only a great meal it was also informative! The scallop appetizer was delicious. Our family all had the Scottish Filet, and man was it good! Our family ate all of our entrees. Tip: Cut against the grain. Our sides were asparagus and hand cut chips. The asparagus was very flavorful, and the hand cut chips were very scrumptious. For desert I had a decaf coffee and the rest of my family had ice cream. Now the service, our waiter (Alex) was polite and kind especially to our daughter telling her how she should cut her food. They also explained what there food on their menu was very throughly. The vibe of the place was pleasant. They had a meat board that had all the meat on the menu and their style. They explained each very throughly as well making sure the customers understand.

Our go-to steakhouse. Sure, the prices might be higher than others around, but you get what you pay for in quality. We have never had a bad experience here and the service has always been great, even when we walk in during busy times.

Here I’ve eaten the best stake in my life. I went by the recommendation with the bone ribeye and it was the best. Not cheap but it totally worth it

Loved it. Steak is a bit pricey especially seeing as I ordered the prime usda ribeye but I had an excellent experience overall. The steak, the sauces and even the mac and cheese were top notch. Only small complaint is my daughter spilled half my wife's mocktail and the waiter replaced it seemingly on the house but we got charged for it! No big deal and am sure he would have corrected had we raised it.

Food and drink 9/10 Service 7/10 Decor and atmosphere: 7/10 Service speed 8/10 Cost 7/10 The best: Amazing steaks, food portions. Great wine. The worst: it's not that the service is bad, they are just a bit pretentious and look down when you don't order a lot... When in reality there was too much food. The lowdown: Definately a place to go if you like meat. The portions of the sides are generous and match the richness of the meat (except in Mac and cheese - amazing but equally rich).

Took an hour to serve the steak even though the restaurant is not busy, I ordered medium but they cooked it well done but the steak tasted is not that bad, like the outdoor seating and servers are so kind and funny.

Normally I don't say this. But very nice service of all employees since stepping in the resturant until leaving. Atmosphere and environment is flawless. Food itself is good. Better than most of steakhouses. Price is okay, I would say worth it. Last pic is the cut "menu" haha

Nice BBQ boneless ribs starters that we shared. 100g each was fine. The BBQ sauce very strong flavour. The lunch menu steak was a nice sirloin. Stilton sauce was quite subtle. This was followed by an excellent white chocolate creme brulée. First visit to Goodman. Would return to get other cuts of steak. Friendly service.

This steak house is the best I think in the area. The steaks are of the best cuts and all different varieties. Cooked to perfection, couldn't fault it when it comes to steaks but I felt there were a couple of things they had run out of on the menu but offered no replacements. I felt we ended up choosing things which we were not keen on. I half expected some alternatives at the prices we were paying hence in my eyes they have lost a star. But anything else I would say they were excellent. As far as the steaks go the best ... No doubt ... 5*
