Went here for the first time to take grandson to the Aqua Park. The most 1 hour of fun I have had in ages. Enjoyed it so much. Went the following Saturday for a SUP taster session which was brilliant. The instructor was great and very patient as I fell off several times!!! I now take my own board up and love going here. I feel safe knowing there is a life guard in the middle of the lake watching out for everyone. Came out to help me when I was unable to get back on my board and even gave me advice on best ways to get back on. I really cannot recommend this place enough. Great facilities, great staff. I definitely highly recommend. Will be going again soon.

Fabulous place to take your time Open Water Swimming. The Cafe is great to have a little snack straight after and watch the world go by. Staff are excellent and safety is paramount. Amazing little Oasis and means you don’t have to go to the Seaside or to Trespass lakes to swim. All equipment is available to hire so you can try before you buy. The changing rooms are clean and there are hairdryer to use also. Fabulous place and I’m converted. Told all my friends about this place and several have come and are converted too. This is my new favourite place ! Love it here x

Such a nice place for active weekend! Whole family fun for sure! Now I want to try all the possible attraction - water activity, kayak, SUP and even wake boarding. And a special go to place for open water swimming!

What a fantastic day.. excellent staff and great range of things to do. We went on a party day for my daughters 16th Birthday. They were so tired at the end of the day. They loved every minute and cant wait to go back.

An incredible day and an incredible place! We’ve now been to Spring Lakes twice and both times it’s been phenomenal! I decided to book it for 50 friends to come together and take part in an activity together. The service was amazing! I communicated with ‘Summer’ who was efficient, informative, prompt and professional during the whole time. I couldn’t fault her service at all. I was quite nervous bringing people together and arranging payments/finances but ‘Summer’ made things smooth. We were also given a discount due to booking a group, this was very much appreciated by all. Unfortunately 4 of the attendees could not come due to a loss in the family. Summer arranged for a refund straight away. There was no procrastinating, no messing about. Thank you for this. Everyone arrived pretty much on time, all the equipment is provided and the safety briefing is clear. The young lady giving the briefing was brilliant. Clear concise instructions. Once on the AquaPark there are plenty of staff available and watching to make sure everyone is safe. The AquaPark brings out the child in you. 💯% worth the visit. Definitely, highly recommend. Prepare yourselves though it is a full body workout! Thank you once again for a brilliant Spring Lakes experience. 💫

Really good set up with swimming and aqua park activities. Thoroughly recommend. All facilities available including, changing, toilets of a standard you’d probably expect of an outdoor water sports park.

Spring Lakes is a wonderful venue for a range of activities and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Their team of lifeguards is always looking out for customers’ safety and you can enjoy your activities safe in the knowledge they are there. They all do a great job and often in unpleasant weather conditions. The cafe is a brilliant place to enjoy drinks and snacks as well as warming up in the winter months too, again with lovely staff. The wake park has a great atmosphere and is a brilliant place to eat and drink while watching the riders even if you’re not taking part. As a swimmer with an annual pass who’s been going to Spring Lakes since it opened I can highly recommend you check it out. I have made many friends and spent a lot of time enjoying the beautiful, clean water, watching the wildlife and enjoying the banter with both staff and customers.

Me and my wife first visited spring lakes at the beginning of may and tried wakeboarding for the very first time, we had an introductory lesson with Rhys who was friendly and very patient! The pricing at spring lakes is fair and the facilities are clean. We have been back every weekend since as it's a fantastic and welcoming community to be a part of. At Wake Spring Lakes, Charlotte, Molly and Tom are always super helpful and will make any newcomers feel at ease.

Nice place, we just visited the beach which was quite good to say its a man made beach on a lake. Literally felt like we were on holiday. Lots of activities to do whilst there for all age ranges. However, I would recommend booking any activities upfront via the Web as you have to pay extra for them on the day. Looks like it is also going through a high-end refurbishment (according to signage) which will look great when finished. Highly recommend, especially in nice weather.

We have visited a few of times over the past 3-4 months, to either the beach area, aqua park and 121 paddle board lessons and I can honestly say that we love this place! The staff are all so friendly and helpful and go out of their way to assist. My kids love the paddle board instructor Lucas and he has given them great confidence in their learning of this sport. They always come away happy and feeling that they’ve achieved a goal! Fantastic place to have on the doorstep and a big thumbs up to the staff 👍👍👍

I have never been for afternoon tea but!! We arrived for afternoon tea in the pods, it was a beautiful hot day so they set us up outside. The staff quality was amazing!! The food was outstanding!! Plus, you basically was watching total wipeout live while enjoying the view. Any other after afternoon tea has a lot to live up to.

Great place to paddle boarding mid week and looks like its getting some camping set up too. Outdoor swimming, inflatables & a cafe. Menu choices could be healthier and I wouldn't order the pulled pork, was abut odd! Helpful staff, good facilities Can't figure out how to reply to the comment, the pulled pork was on a dry white bread cake and tasted very odd, like it had been boiled for a long time. My friends veggie nachos were far more appealing.

We went last night to three winter wonderland and to see santa in his workshop. Our first time and was excellent, the whole experience was fantastic, the staff were amazing. This event was excellent and not expensive, the Christmas presents the children received were excellent, well worth the money.

We came down to find out what’s on offer, both for the shop and water antics. We came on a dreary Monday and the site is quiet before the summer season so not a lot of folk around. We found a lovely lady (who stopped her job with the current renovations to have a chat) she gave us friendly answers to all of our different and daft questions and directed us to the right places for information. We enjoyed a lovely meal in the cafe, members of staff serving front of the cafe and the chef were lovely. Special mention to Rebecca who made us feel very welcome and came over to make sure we were happy. So nice to have staff that clearly enjoy their jobs and want to make the visitors feel welcome even on a grey Monday!

What a great place!! Booked online for my lads 12th birthday (very simple), signed the waivers (again, very simple), and turned up. Car park was very busy as it was a nice day but still spaces available. Walked up to the reception point and checked in, we didn't need wetsuits as the water was warm, life jackets given out at the lake entry point, but glad we purchased the anti-slip socks as the inflatables were very slippy in places. Great array of obstacles/slides, but our favourite was the kaos inflatable. This is where 1 person lays down in the middle and 4 others jump onto the inflatable to launch the person into the air. Very enjoyable time, and most of all, the kids loved it.

Staff were very kind and accommodating. The aqua park had a limited range of ‘obstacles’ as certain of them weren’t inflated properly so it reduced the value for money and quality. You have to buy the grip socks as they’re not provided with the wetsuit. Food and drinks were okay. Overall if you live nearby it is worth visiting for a swim during a heatwave.

Spring Lakes staff are amazing. Not only do I regular swim there and have my Bluetit swimming group there - my husband and I recently held our vow renewal there. We got married a year ago, just the two of us and now wanted to celebrate with friends and family. Spring Lakes couldn’t do enough to help us. Michelle Dorman was outstanding - helping me with the fine details at a difficult time as I had just lost my mother too. All the staff are so helpful - Scott’s menu was amazing and Scott and Mikey worked so hard on the food. Katie was there herself to help, and Jaye and Summer on the bar. I feel like it is a family atmosphere and all the staff can’t do enough to pull out all the stops when it’s something special like that. A massive thank you!

What an awesome place for water sports. Great team of friendly staff. We hired 2x boards for paddleboarding and self launched 2x boards. Had a great day out, already planning next visit. Took picnic too. Toilets clean and plenty hot water.

Been here a couple times now, it’s one of my favourite places to go in the summer 🥰 really love that you can do different things! We’ve done the paddle boarding, wakeboarding, pedalo’s and the open water swim and beach! Can’t wait to come back and stay in the new camping bit so we can enjoy a whole weekend here!!

Booked the aqua course for our under 9 football team. The kids and parents loved every minute of it! Great for a party or stag do or even just a day out with the family!

Once the changing rooms have been upgraded this is likely to become a five star location! Friendly staff, reasonable prices and lots of lovely space to swim in peace in what us currently pleasantly warm water :)

Water looked great, didn't swim but asked about how it worked, staff very approachable and made sure I was furnished with all I need to know before I left! Cannot wait to have a dip in the tropical 3 degrees celsius water!

Went to this place to check out where my son takes our grandchildren! Was impressed how easy for everyone to have great water hobbies. (Not for me!) Safety is a big feature which is important! We used the cafe which was lovely as were the staff.

Loved our visit here... plenty to do, my boys completed the assault course and then we all did a family SUP board session. Really enjoyed it. Cafe was good too, hot drink to warm us back up.

I'm late to this party. I didn't join the early wildswimming adopters of this place because it was a bit weedy the first time I swam (last year). However, they've got that under control now (I think they have an additive in the water). The water is clearer and cleaner than the other lake I swim in in Nottingham, and the swim times are many and varied and easy to book. I prefer to swim at the weekend when they have Lake 2 lifeguarded, as it feels a bit wilder over there. Seen herons, kingfishers, cormorants, swans fairly regularly. Lake 1 is a bit of a random cavalcade of watersports favoured by the younger visitor, but the provision for wildswimmers is good (changing platform, loos, cafe with heaters). Busy but fun.

Great day out with family. Make sure to attend in at your allotted slot. Wet suit and life jackets are included in the price. 1 hour per session.. Three shower units available per gender. All were blocked, dirty and none of the shower heads worked. But that didn't take away from the experience of the day. The customer service was pleasant and helpful from all staff we interacted with. Lots to do and enjoy.

Took my daughter for her 18th and we had a blast. Great staff and great fun. All kit was provided and we all had an awesome time. We'll worth the money.

  • 5/5 Heather D. 2 years ago on Google
Really great place to swim. Friendly staff, clean lakes, good facilities. Food at the café is reasonable. Equipment to hire is good quality and in good repair, not too expensive. You can leave your car keys at the swim reception desk while you swim, so fine to go alone. Safety arrangements excellent. Not tried the watersports but they look fun. Highly recommend the introductory sessions for outdoor swimming if you're not used to it, they will give you confidence. You need a bright swim hat and fluorescent tow float to swim, both available to buy or hire. Wetsuit a good idea, also available to hire.
