We recently attended an antenatal course with Clare at Lushtums. Clare provided such a lot of valuable information which has left us feeling so much more prepared for birth and the initial period of first time parenthood! Clare has a wonderful ability to share her knowledge in a really easy to understand way and is able to draw on years of experience. Clare also takes the time to support and encourage connections and meet ups amongst the couples attending the course which is a real unexpected bonus. Lastly the first aid for babies / children with Sarah was so helpful and was delivered in a really memorable and effective way, leaving us feeling much more confident that we would have some skills in such an eventuality. We would definitely recommend Clare and Lushtums’ antenatal course! Thank you Clare and Sarah :)

My husband and I have just finished Lush Tums Antenatal classes with Clare and we have found them to be full of useful and encouraging information. Clare gives the perfect balance of detail from what happens in your body during labour to how to manage discomfort using both yoga and breathing techniques to medical interventions. We also had first aid training on the last session which was also very helpful. Clare helps connect people and I have made like minded new mama friends too which is great. Clare is amazing at what she does and she has been a great support to me since I turned 15wks pregnant and couldn’t wait to start her classes. I’m now due next week and look forward to joining her post natal classes on the other side! Thank you Clare x

Amazing space and classes! I came to pregnancy yoga on my 14th week and almost did it till birth. Clare did create nice community to share, support, find new friends, take care for the body and mind during this pregnancy journey. I like her approach, the atmosphere and helpful breathing techniques I learned and still using to relax. Also liked that could attend the studio or join online, very convenient. If you are looking for effective and friendly pregnancy yoga classes, look no more.

Lushtums pregnancy yoga has been a godsend! I hadn't really moved much in my first trimester due to nausea so was a little nervous about joining the class in my second - no need to be. The whole class, all the ladies and of course the teacher, Clare, are so welcoming, calm and supportive. The yoga class starts with a check in where all participants say how they are feeling physically, mentally, in general. Listening to each other is so helpful and can give you a heads up about what to expect down the line, or can give you the opportunity to connect with others about what you've experienced. Clare then creates the class to suit our needs. How incredible is that?! Within the class we do gentle yoga moves, as well as learn breathing and movement techniques that may help during birth - this has massively built my confidence after feeling somewhat anxious. I try to go to yoga once a week and i can honestly say that every time I feel a million bucks after. So grounded, positive, relaxed and rejuvenated, and that feeling stays for a good few days. I've also made some lovely friends which has been amazing as I am relatively new in Brighton. Lushtums also so a wonderful antenatal class which I would also wholeheartedly recommend as an alternative to NCT! Thanks so much Clare for all you do for the parents to be in this community. You've helped so many! I feel more connected to my body and baby than ever and am almost looking forward to birth haha! Defo looking fwd to the postnatal yoga xx

Started attending Lush Tums yoga sessions at 17 weeks and I enjoyed it so much that I continued right up until the end of my pregnancy. The teachers are highly knowledgeable, warm and compassionate. At the beginning of each session we all go around in a circle briefly saying how we feel physically/emotionally.. which feels so good to offload to a group who are going through the same thing as you and can emphasize and support. Then the teachers use what we've said to create a bespoke yoga class that serves the group's specific needs that day. The yoga isn't too difficult (as obviously we are all pregnant so can't do much), but it is relaxing and feels good on the body. Throughout the class, the teachers incorporate breathing techniques and body positions/movements that which will help during labour and are used in hypnobirthing. Clare (who runs Lushtums) has a WhatsApp group for all the yoga mums to be, which has also been really great for making friends. I have attended the Lushtums pregnancy yoga, the Lushtums Antenatal group and now my baby is born, I'm about to start the Lushtums post partum yoga... Really excellent company, feels more like a little community that I'm now part of, and have lots of friends from there. Can't recommend enough. Big thumbs up! Thankyou to Clare and the whole Lushtums team :)

I have practiced with Clare through 2 pregnancies now, and continue to attend Mum & Baby yoga during mat leave, and she is just the most incredible teacher. Her warmth and compassion makes you feel so welcome at a vulnerable, sensitive time during pregnancy and early motherhood; her empathy and sensitivity during the sharing circle at the beginning of each class makes you feel heard and seen when new mums can often feel quite invisible; and her wealth of experience means each class is tailored to the group's needs on that day rather than a cookie-cutter approach. I always leave feeling better - body, mind and soul! I always look forward to being with a group of wonderful women and their babies every Monday. Clare creates community - even online during a pandemic! - which is invaluable for all mums. Thank you Clare!!

I have thoroughly enjoyed Lushtums throughout my pregnancy and would 100% recommend it to a friend. I also plan on continuing with post natal classes as I’ve enjoyed the classes so much. Not only do you exercise, you also learn about breathing techniques and coping mechanisms in a relaxing and supportive environment. There’s also the opportunity to meet other expectant mothers and share your experiences with those going through pregnancy at the same time as you so it’s really wonderful in more ways than one. Clare is also very knowledgeable, warm and very encouraging so you instantly feel welcome as soon as you walk through the door.

My husband and I recently completed Claire's antenatal course which was so helpful. Delivered in a relaxed but engaging way over 4 weeks we left feeling really informed about our choices and next steps. I've also been attending Claire's birth preparation yoga classes which have been invaluable in helping to calm nerves, stay active and practice breathing techniques for birth. Claire is extremely knowledgeable and experienced and I'd definitely recommend lushtums for people looking for calm and informative classes and a supportive local community.

Fabulous space for new mums to regenerate, relax and learn together, covering all sorts from yoga and well being to motherhood. Clare cultivates a wonderfully loving environment and oozes with experience from decades of teaching yoga and supporting women through pregnancy, birth, matrescence and motherhood. She genuinely listens and offers a very nurturing approach, which we need when we’re focussed on our babes 99% of the rest of the time! Highly recommend the yoga and antenatal classes for holistic support and community.

I've done both prenatal and postnatal yoga with Lushtums and can highly recommend both. The teachers are so lovely and make you feel so comfortable, even with a crying baby in tow. I'd highly recommend Lushtums, even if you aren't a natural yogi (like me!).

Really loved our experience with the antenatal class and then the brunches afterwards. I also loved the pregnancy yoga too and hope to join the postnatal yoga. Highly recommend.

The best recommendation I got when I was pregnant was to join Lush Tums yoga. I found a place to stretch, relax, learn some crucial breathing techniques, and meet some like-minded mothers-to-be who understand the highs and lows of pregnancy. Clare is a caring and thoughtful teacher, taking every persons individual aches, pains and needs into consideration. This hour a week is what has got me through my pregnancy and I will be recommending Lush Tums to every pregnant friend.

Clare’s pregnancy yoga classes in Brighton are incredible. Each class is tailored to the specific issues everyone is experiencing that week, so every class is different and your issue or ailment has been helped! The relaxation at the end is bliss, especially when Clare brings the sound bath! You come out feeling like you’re walking on air. Never want to do normal yoga again! All the birth breathing you do in the sessions really helps to ingrain it for when the day comes. Also did Clare’s antenatal classes and learnt so much. Did NCT at the same time and Clare’s 16 years of experience shone through - so much more knowledge and able to confidentially answer any questions we had. Feel informed and empowered, ready to face the birth (sort of!) thanks to Clare.

I recently completed the antenatal course with Clare Maddalena and have also been doing pregnancy yoga classes both online and in real life with her. All experiences have been positive & lovely, Clare has loads of useful tips, information and contacts which have come in more than handy. I can wholeheartedly recommend Clare's classes: she is friendly, approachable and kind and makes you feel totally at ease.

Clare’s pregnancy yoga classes have been so wonderful. She is a knowledgeable, caring teacher and her classes are such a safe space which help me feel more physically and emotionally connected to my pregnancy and also connected to the community of other pregnant people around me. I highly recommend.

We had two antenatal preparation sessions with Emilie, which were great! We both felt like we had forgotten quite a bit since having our toddler, so Emilie took us through everything we needed to know, focused on what we were most interested in and was really patient. We both feel more relaxed after these sessions, and ready to have our new baby in the best possible conditions!

My husband and I attended the antenatal classes which were fantastic - I felt so much calmer and more prepared for birth afterwards. Claire was brilliant, really friendly and welcoming, was very good at laying out pros and cons of all options with no judgement, and really helped me understand how your body naturally knows what to do - it allowed me to trust my own instincts much more, and was very self empowering!

My pregnancy yoga classes with Lushtums were so nurturing, restorative and holistic. It felt like far better antenatal care than I got from the state. It should be offered to all expecting mama's! Great way to meet other mums. The breathing techniques were so helpful during labour. We had practised them so much in class that I just automatically started doing them when my body and mind needed it. So grateful to have been able to access these classes, both in person and then online during lockdown.

Highly recommend Lush Tums pregnancy yoga. Thoroughly enjoyed my recent experience of the classes via Zoom in my second pregnancy, but also in-person classes in my first pregnancy at Tree of Life. The classes are very friendly, welcoming and non-judgemental, and the support from the other ladies via the sharing circle at the start of each class and (optional) What's App group is as valuable as the well thought out and tailored exercise. Many thanks!

I have been attending pregnancy yoga classes with Clare and am moved to write a review. I was experiencing a lot of pain in my hips which had got to the point of making it hard for me walk, and at 20 weeks, this was worrying! Anyway, after just one class with Clare, I couldn't believe how much better I felt. I have been able to do a lot more and am in a lot less pain. And aside from helping my hips, the classes are really lovely. Clare makes sure everyone is heard and tailors each class to the attendees' needs. I will definitely keep attending these classes up to the birth. Thanks Clare!! :)

I was really disappointed as I had signed up and paid for a zoom postnatal yoga class this week but had no link sent to me in time for the class.I emailed and have had no response so far.

Having recently joined the LushTums team I can certainly recommend the wonderful experience and opportunities it’s provided. I undertook the Ante natal teacher training and I have gained so much through this. The knowledge it has taught me is immense and very through, the training was interesting, enjoyable, the work load was big but that simply reflects the wonderful content and the value it provides. Also the social support is great, it feels so nice to be part of a community.

I've recently completed my pregnancy yoga teacher training with LushTums and have been so pleased with the course content and the lovely community Clare and the LushTums team have created. Would highly recommend training or taking classes with a LushTums teacher!

I attend Clare's classes from around 6 months of my pregnancy. Every week was not only a great class which taught me breathing techniques for birth and ways to stretch and relax my body more comfortably, but it was also an amazing space to be in; to be with so many other pregnant woman. It was such a special part of my pregnancy journey that I am hoping to sign on to Clare's teacher training programme :0 x

I have thoroughly enjoyed the online yoga classes with Clare, she makes sure to include everyones needs in each session and it helps me to feel connected in a time when we are all somewhat isolated! Clare offers variations on moves so that everyone is accommodated for. And it is helping me to make sure I actually move around a couple of times a week! Looking forward to many more as I progress through my pregnancy.

Clare and the whole LushTums team are incredible. I started going when I was around 20 weeks. I was comfortable and mobile throughout my pregnancy, but I'd really notice the difference if I couldn't go to classes for a week or so - I'd start to seize up and become less mobile. It was clearly making a big difference and was helping my body cope with its changing shape. The techniques I learnt in classes were also helpful for labour. I'm sure that the work I did with LushTums was a big part of me having a straightforward, intervention-free labour. Clare is so knowledgeable and is always happy to connect you to other pregnancy professionals (physio, acupuncture, hypnobirthing etc.). It's a real community and I'm still in touch with some of the mums I met in the pregnancy yoga classes. I couldn't recommend Lush Tums enough and will definitely be joining more classes if we ever have another little one.

As a deaf parent I was really nervous about joining group classes, but Clare and the other teachers were all amazing at adapting to my communication needs, making me feel really welcome and supported. I took prenatal yoga classes from 16 weeks onwards and came straight back to postnatal classes as soon as I could. They're a great opportunity to relax, refocus, and meet other parents. I honestly can't recommend them highly enough.

I have recently qualified as a pregnancy yoga teacher with LushTums and I really enjoyed the training. Clare Maddalena is amazing, so supportive, friendly and approachable as well as an absolute wealth of knowledge on all things pregnancy and birth. You can expect to learn so much more than pregnancy yoga and I came away from the experience eager to learn more and will definitely be doing further trainings with LushTums. I would highly recommend getting in touch with them if you are looking to start a new career helping to support pregnant people on their journey as a pregnancy yoga teacher!

I am doing the antenatal yoga teacher training and so far am really enjoying it. The content is set out in a way which is easy to follow and is very comprehensive. The learning materials which are available are vast and so you feel very supported in not only your learning but also getting set up to teach. Clare is very quick to respond to any questions and offer advise throughout the course. If your looking for antenatal yoga teacher training I would recommend this one.

I had never been a big fan of yoga, prefering to use my time on "tougher" excercises. However, having a baby and a c section have forced me to be kinder to my body and oh I'm so glad I found these classes! Clare is phenomenal. Every class, she checks with everyone present to know what to work on so you'll never have the same class twice and you are guaranteed to tackle whatever pain or niggle you want to work on. I've been attending the baby and mum yoga classes for 2 months and I've now added the Rise and Shine classes to my routine. In addition, I had never before been able to mediate, but the guided meditations at the end of each class have been a revelation and I've achieved the calmness I so need to get on with my recovery and giving my baby all she needs. These classes should be a must for every new mum or anyone trying to improve their journey as a yogi.

Really love these yoga classes with Clare! It really helped during my pregnancy and I can’t wait to try the postnatal yoga class. I trust Clare 100% to make me feel good and calm as well as making sure I build up my strength gently. Oh and the music is fab!

I attended LushTums antenatal group in 2019 when I had my first daughter. Clare was welcoming and knowledgeable and the classes really helped me to prepare for being a 1st time mum. I met a group of lovely mums and their partners. We still share our parenting journeys/questions/tips which was really important during lockdown and thereafter! Clare provided up to date and judgement free advice and information and tailored the classes to each of our choices and specific situations. Would highly recommend if you're looking for antenatal classes!

Claire’s Antenatal Ed Course - Prepare for Birth & Baby is absolutely fantastic! Claire has taught us so much and has such a lovely approach. Claire informs you of everything you need to know without encouraging any particular approach, she reminds everyone there is a place/time for everything depending on how your birth unfolds. We have finished the course feeling confident and excited for the birth. Was great to be around people due at a similar time to us. Was great having a safe space to ask all the questions that were in our heads. Highly recommend!! Bryony & George :)

Doing the LushTums yoga classes throughout my pregnancy was 100% worth it and the best thing I did. It not only kept me moving and supple but even when I felt like I didn’t want to go because I was tired, once I was there, I was so pleased I did and always felt refreshed afterwards. Seeing regular faces each week was really lovely and Clare, our teacher was amazing. She tailored the classes to what was needed each week so felt very personal. I would highly recommend going to a LushTums pregnancy yoga class.

So grateful for Lushtums yoga and especially Clare, who has such a welcoming, calming, thoughtful and positive approach to teaching. The space allows you to connect with yourself and your baby, in the powerful and comforting company of other pregnant women. Clare takes the time at the beginning of each session to check in with everyone individually and then tailors the session accordingly. I always left feeling so much better and more positive than when I arrived. The breath work and useful tools that Clare taught during the pregnancy yoga sessions for sure helped me navigate a difficult birth. Highly recommend these classes!

A completely unique training experience. I completed the pregnancy yoga teacher training and have been teaching for a year now. I had no previous experience and am now confident with my knowledge and taking full classes. Am currently doing the postnatal course and loving it again. Great teaching, flexible learning so you fit it in around your daily schedule. Lots of support from Clare, Clair and fellow students. The support continues after you’ve qualified with a brilliant friendly group of teachers, sharing their wisdom and always happy to help or advise. I’m really glad I chose LushTums and would highly recommend to anyone! 😁

Great informative course and Claire is a lovely teacher to learn from! I would highly recommend her antenatal class to anyone. It takes you through from the birthing process to your fourth trimester and some useful first aid. I came away learning a lot and had an enjoyable time doing so!
