we just bought juice maker from western road Brighton branch and we did not like performance of product so we went to shop for return product and they did not open products box, they did not look in; product good or not and just said is that wroking, yes so did you plug in, yes so if you did plug in we do not get back product! what? if product is not good for you or not good working ? no problem ! did you plug in that is it! No return! nonsense ! they did not accept product! ok. that is not food or drink and if use product many times or any happned to damage on product etc. we understand; but very simple example that we just said when you buy any shoes or clothes from shop do you try that of couse and you did not like shoes or did not comfortible etc. SO you use that shoes in it? yes but you give back shop! not good for me and shop is accept it return..what about you? NO, poeple can try product inside shop Robert Dyas before buy ? NO! so you are playing gamble with people.. then after buy product good for you or not? that you destiny?! where the customer right? horrible?!

online checkout system CRASHED twice causing me to spend a good deal of time filling in forms again, then despite delivery being free with orders over £50+ promo code i had to tic £4. standard delivery box,then paypal wouldn't let me checkout,unless i signed up with them(not needed) and robert-dyas wanted me to sign in, join up to their news letter. i still couldn't pay at checkout! {so Here i am}throughly P'ed off,having wasted most of my day-& still no products! thank you Robertdyas.co.uk❗

Rude and aggressive. I asked a member of staff to ‘unlock’ an item that I wanted to buy (they lock items upstairs as they clearly have theft problems-staff to lazy to be upstairs?). When she admonished me for trying to take the item-very expressive on ‘I told you I was going to get the magnet’, I explained that she was rude and I did not want the item any more. A rather aggressive male colleague then chipped in that she was not being rude and attempted to intimidate me by his close presence. So, no marks for customer service and it won’t be long before RD goes the way of other high street shops.

Friendly and helpful staff. To be honest, I used to find the DIY section with various tools, hardware, basic electricals etc really useful and a good way to avoid going to B&Q or similar. But, it's getting to be less good for that sort of thing. Still, I useful shop and a good way to get bits and bobs in an actual shop.

Really great little store! They pack a lot in and the staff are lovely and helpful.

I was helped today by the red-haired girl (I forgot to ask her name) and she was so incredibly sweet and helpful. I saw her being super chatty and helpful with other customers too. I will definitely try to shop at Robert Dyas more because she just left such a good impression on me.

I go to Robert Dyas in Western Road quite regularly. It is a very handy store for such a wide range of goods e.g. I have recently bought a set of weighing scales and a plug adapter there. The staff are always very helpful and pleasant and the prices are very reasonable.

I love this shop and try to buy from it as often as possible. They almost always have what I need, at a reasonable price and, if they don't, will sugget where else you might try. And I always see interesting other possible purchases there. And they give lots of advice and help.

Really lovely and helpful staff. I visited the store today to find a solution for an issue with damp in my flat. The lady I spoke with was very informative. She made a number of suggestions and gave me some very helpful advice with regards to solving the problem.

I was warmly greeted by a young man called Sam upon entering the store, he was incredibly helpful and was patient with all my questions however, I got served at the checkout by a female called Dorothy I believe who was unfortunately not so welcoming, I felt rushed and an inconvenience to her. She made no attempt to make conversation, her customer service skills was awful, there was no smile, no "have a nice day", nothing. Which is a real shame because Sam had set the standard really high hence the four stars.

Not rude. Just not particularly helpful or knowledgeable. Usually have what you need but won’t be competitive with out of town or internet prices (fair enough). Just book out an hour on your callender if you need to do a refund or exchange. Sadly has the feel and upkeep of a shop that will be boarded up come January.

Visted the Store this morning to send some money via Western Union which I have done on several occasions in the past. As always a friendly welcome from the staff which is appreciated. To-day, Tina dealt with my request on Western Union. Friendly, professional and a credit to Robert Dyas. Have no hesitation in recommending this Store to my friends,especailly with regard to the excellent range of small electrical appliances. 10 out of 10 for sure. John Bell
