Bristol
airport
is
a
typical
regional
facility,
modern
and
well
designed.
It
provides
international,
European
and
UK
connections,
for
commerce
and
leisure.
It's
actually
some
distance
from
the
city
of
Bristol,
high
up
in
the
Mendip
hills.
There
is
no
rail
connection,
although
there
are
regular
bus
services,
from
Bristol
&
the
larger
towns
throughout
the
West.
The
airport
is
on
the
A38
trunk
road.
There
used
to
be
substantial
parking,
but
a
large
part
of
this
is
currently
being
redeveloped,
due
for
completion
some
time
in
2025.
Parking
charges
are
expensive,
so
I
tend
to
use
the
A3
bus
service
from
Weston-super-Mare,
which
is
regular
and
very
cheap
at
£7
return.
In
the
near
area,
there
are
a
number
of
off
site
parking
arrangements
of
various
sizes.
Taxi
services
are
very
expensive;
only
a
few
companies
pay
for
the
right
to
operate,
and
taxis
can
be
limited.
There
is
a
substantial
car
hire
facility
at
the
Silver
Zone,
which
is
reached
by
a
free
shuttle
bus
service
every
15
minutes;
there
are
normally
large
numbers
of
hire
cars
available.
Within
the
airport
departure
/
arrival
halls,
there
are
a
several
small
coffee
shop
and
retail
facilities.
Once
through
security,
the
departure
lounge
has
the
usual
duty
free
shops,
as
well
some
high
end
food
and
drink
services.
I
use
Bristol
Airport
quite
regularly,
and
would
recommend
it
for
anyone
living
in
the
West
of
England.
Far
better
than
travelling
to
London!
