I wold expect little bit lower prices if people need to have a paid membership, as you need to look really hard to find a good deal, as many similar stuff could be found cheaper in other shops. Oh yeah, hot dogs are £1.50, it's all worth it now.

I'm surprised places like this can exist in a marketplace where online shopping can beat "Big Box" and "Discount" stores on choice, convenience, quality and price. That said Costco is still here, after what, 30 yrs at this location. It's easy to find the same products online, often much cheaper. Maybe it's profitable because of all the impulse buys when you see a chocolate muffin, think "That looks tasty" then end up with a tray of 24 of them, all as big as your head. A week later you're 4kg heavier and there's 15 stale muffins in your kitchen. I guess this food based scenario is quite common. TVs on the other hand.........Big, big selection at fairly reasonable prices. With TVs you need to actually look at the TV to assess picture quality. You simply cant do this when looking online as the picture quality youre seeing is the picture quality of the device you're browsing the internet on. So I'd guess they make substantial profit on TV sales. An indicator of how important this is to them is how much space they give their TV display area - It's a big area. There are some bargains to be had but you do need to hunt them down. The most important thing to do when shopping here is to only buy the thing you went in for. Impulse buys are a nightmare

Just Love my Visits to Costco and now the Christmas stock is out. Bit disappointed this time as the cafe is shut, i think for refurbishment. But there isnt any notice of this and we travel approx 50 miles to our nearest Costco, so always have Lunch, they did gave a pop up stall, but this was out of order too. So lost out doubly.

Great for big items and bulk shops. Just need to remember to check the unit prices and know what that would be for the supermarket equivalent to make sure you get the best value. Even better is the hot dog meal deal (esp as back in stock after Easter)

This place has gone so far down hill I will not renew my membership. The place is a nightmare to get to with cars rammed all down the road to the actual main road. It does not matter what time of day or weekend it is always the same. If they had an express till inside it would be easier . Maybe for 6 items or less. Memberships are given out now to anybody when before it was trade only. The place just is not worth the hassle . Adios.

Considering Christmas is only a few days away going around the shop, petrol station and car park was easier and less stressful than I was expecting it to be. The shop was well stocked.

Once a member, you can shop to your hearts content..Like other places, always check the price underneath the more obvious one, as that is the price you pay as it includes VAT. Great for bulk buying.

We loved this costco, we've been members for about 16 years. Today I renewed my membership at the customer service counter. The lady was lovely. I told her we had a voucher, she said as the second card holder I couldn't use it. I explained the main card holder has had a massive Stoke and is in hospital. She was very sympathetic and went to ask if i could use the voucher in this circumstance. She was nearly crying when she said the manager said NO. When something like this happens you realise that big businesses DON'T care. I've seen this shops true colours. Really let themselves down.

Big warehouse type members only shopping loads off stuff some cheaper than supermarkets but lots off stuff not, lots off things are sold in bulk apart from big things like electronics Big fresh meat, fresh fruit , fresh pre cooked ,fresh bakery sections so there is a lot to waste your money on 😀 Cafe is good and cheap option for a quick bite afterwards and their petrol forecourt is cheaper than most big chain petrol and supermarkets stations

Great place to shop, quality products and in the main, good value for money, especially the fuel at £169.7 for unleaded, which is the cheapest fuel locally. Also a full pack of still water for less than £4. There's lots of room to manoeuvre the large trolleys and items are easy to find. The only negative is the queue time at the cafe/takeaway , which if visiting at lunchtime can be upto an hour wait, which is a shame because the food is very good, especially the pizza.

Very good selection. However, not everything is "wholesale" priced. You need to look at the price after adding VAT ( where applicable) against some supermarkets which are cheaper. Some great purchases to be snapped up! Worth going, but just don't get carried away thinking everything is cheap!

Jobs worth on door wouldn't let me in the exit. Despite having a membership card and a son crying he needed a wee that badly. Ended up walking through the store and what do you know? Didn't make it to the toilet. What a jobs worth no customer service or basic human dignity. Will go elsewhere from now on. Nice store ruined by one member of staff.

Went with my daughter on a Saturday because she has a membership card. There was ample parking. We arrived just as they were opening, and there were quite a few people waiting to be let in. Once they started, the line went down quite quickly. The trolleys are quite big and only rear wheel drive, so to a little bit to get used to pushing it. I ordered some party food and a cake to collect the following Saturday. There is a lot to choose from around the store, but in most cases, you have to buy in bulk. The prices are quite good, but you need to be careful as most items are advertised excluding VAT, so it can be a bit misleading if you are not VAT registered. Petrol and diesel is around 5p cheapest than other service stations.

Typical Costco range of TVs, electrical goods, clothes, food and what not. Went on a Sunday afternoon, but the place was rammed, not even a shopping trolley left! Entrance full of people trying to fill up with fuel for a few pennies less. What was once a slightly quieter store is nearly as bad as Trafford Centre Costco! Some new items, but not as many bargains as you used to get. Some garden end of line stuff reduced.

Disappointed with this Costco. My dad Ordered a platter for a family party on the Kings coronation our cake platters was missing . He has wrote about his Disappointment, however had no apology or compensation . This company is unreliable if you have a party I strongly advise you avoid. They are unreliable!

Great selection, nice staff and good fuel. Doesn’t quite have as much stuff as Manchester store but well worth a visit

Worst Costco I have ever visited. Staff in reception has attitude, rude and shout to customers. Made a instant complaint to the manager, she was not helpful and very defensive with her staff. I will avoid visiting this one at all cost in future. BTW I have been a member of Costco more than 10 years and this is the first bad experience with them.

Large Costco store with all the usual Costco amenities and goods. The petrol station here can be very popular at times with queues in place - however it moves pretty fast, so you won’t have too long to wait.

Great shopping experience in Costco Haydock. Service was very quick at food and store bit. This store is very small not really many items in there however that way we aren't spending too much money in store. Items goes very fast you should get it in the time.

Went later in the afternoon on a tuesday and it was quieter to walk around without having to play dodgems with people. Store was well organised and till staff very friendly with another member of staff helping load the trolly back up once items had been put through, a serbice which wasnt happening at the trafford store.

Costco is great for bulk buying to allow for less often shopping. The prices can often be cheaper than supermarket prices. Great for Christmas presents too. It's only downfall is the queues as it can get extremely busy.

Costco is Costco. Buy bulk, save a bit of money. Also gives you access to a lot of products you might not find anywhere else (American stuff, exotic produce, different cuts of meat, etc.). Kirkland stuff is surprisingly pretty good quality most of the time. Queues for fuel are pretty monstrous at times. The foodcourt queues can also be a bit excessive (but prices are hard to beat). Check out times are pretty fast though.

Always worth a visit as a member. Benefits include competitive priced fuel many vat free quality products. Just be aware when looking at some of the goods check the vat added prices. Very good value meals and drinks at the cafe.

Good price for fuel and other bits like dish washer tablets and bog roll. Expensive on a lot of food items though so just need to double check prices.

This place is good if you've got a nig party to arrange etc but there's not a great selection of items. After the checkout I bought a hotdog and drink fir only £1.50 which was a bargain. I'd come again as its a bit of a novelty but as it's a wholesaler it's better suited fir businesses etc.

No queue for diesel... first time since last year .... always well managed. The store was well stocked and I completed the shopping list missed previously. The loss of the star was a disappointment that as I was heading for a long drive after a working day I had relied on a treat (or some would say lazy pleasure), a "slice" ready from the cafe. Renovations stopped this, no slice so I cooked up the leftovers when o got in instead (the duck was great and from the last weeks shop). Spoilt

Easy to find, great meats, cakes, platters for parties ,, Costco is the only place I've seen in the UK that provides normal width parking bays for people that drive something other than a Morris Mini or Austin 12 etc,,

Horrible, I got some from Costco in Haydock and after drinking it, thought it tasted awful, so I emptied it into a glass and could see it had floating mould in it when I cracked it open it was mouldy inside absolutely disgusting.

Highly recommended everything you could think of under one roof. Don't just go thinking 🤔 ill just get one or two bits as this unfortunately will not happen 😔 but on the plus side buying in bulk allows you not to step foot in ya local supermarket again 😉

Great store, friendly staff and a large range of wholesale items. We love the pork chops and the pizzas from here. We also order celebration cakes from this store. The only thing that lets this place down is the lack of choice in the cake decoration for customised cakes but that is me being very picky as we always buy our cakes frome here.

😠 Seriously gone down hill in customer service, I only use them for one or two items if I run out and use my other supplier for 99% of all my stock which is on average around 39k per year spend. Slightly more expensive then bookers but I receive the customer service which is worth a couple of pence mo...
