I was actually here to sit an exam for work. The Barbican Centre is a sprawling estate but very near transport. It has the exhibition halls on Golden Lane and also concert halls in Silk Street and cinemas on Beech Street. Plenty of underground parking, as well as being on the 153 bus route and close to the Barbican tube station. Always lots of variety of entertainment and cultural events. You could spend a whole week there and be entertained every second. Several restaurants and caffs for food and drinks. Outdoor rooftop wild garden with a lake. Lovely peaceful space in the heart of the City.

Nightmare to navigate this sprawling location and once inside equally bad to find the right hall entrance. The bars were open when we arrived but closed during the interval. What's the logic there?

Banksy heaven. Free artwork. You need to see this.

I haven't been inside since the mid 1990s. I only walked past the other day.

Ideal for smaller exhibitions, the place is of older looking decor

Extraordinary theatre experience with Complicite....I was feeling quite ill, but stoically didn't want to waste the tickets, or miss their unique drama. Fabulous, funny, original, outrageous. Cheered me up so much! The theatre is a good venue too, roomy comfy seats, easy to access. However the Barbican centre is confusing to navigate as it so poorly signed. I got lost twice, wandered around and thankfully helped by wonderful Eve. Parking is convenient and if you are disabled comes free with your theatre ticket. 👍👍
