This
is
a
truly
superb
restaurant
-
exactly
what
eating
out
should
be.
We
went
for
the
first
time
on
Tuesday
17th
August
(should
imagine
it's
slightly
more
intimate
on
weekdays
compared
to
weekends)
and
we
will
most
definitely
be
returning.
With
its
Michelin
Plate,
we
were
expecting
good
food,
but
it
exceeded
expectations
-
each
dish
of
our
5-course
menu
was
absolutely
sublime.
Steve
and
his
team
cook
with
such
technique
and
flair,
if
visiting
during
August
the
red
mullet
dish
will
not
disappoint,
it
was
cooked
to
perfection.
The
whole
meal
was
also
expertly
paired
with
some
interesting
and
lovely
wines,
too
-
with
each
wine
given
all
flavour
and
style
explanations.
The
service
from
the
front-of-house
team
was
also
faultless.
Friendly,
professional
and
well
organised
-
never
felt
over-bearing
but
we
never
felt
neglected.
A
really
nice
personal
touch
was
a
birthday
card
on
the
table
as
we'd
booked
for
my
birthday.
There
was
also
nothing
pretentious
about
the
feel
of
the
restaurant,
given
the
level
of
dining,
so
you're
guaranteed
a
relaxed
and
comfortable
welcome.
If
anyone
has
visited
and
enjoyed
The
Forest
Side
hotel
in
the
Lake
District,
when
it
used
to
be
under
head
chef
Kevin
Tickle,
Eileen's
will
tick
all
the
same
boxes.
I
reviewed
Kevin's
menu
and
the
expertise
with
locally-sourced
produce
from
Steve
was
very
reminiscent.
We're
delighted
to
find
a
restaurant
with
this
level
of
excellence
not
only
outside
of
London
and
local,
but
on
our
own
street!
Some
might
quibble
about
it
being
pricey,
but
we
thoroughly
recommend
this
restaurant
-
especially
for
a
special
occasion
-
it
is
worth
every
single
penny.
Keep
up
the
good
work
Steve,
Amy
and
the
team
-
we
can't
wait
to
return!
