Great local Cinema - tickets are cheap and so are the sweets/drinks. Beats the big Multiplexes hands-down πŸ‘

I've only been by the building not inside. So classic the whole building and the lights...really fantastic as they saved in this retro style. I think it is similar the Casto theatre in San Francisco. The prices for the movies also a few pounds. I hope I csn go back there one day with my professional camera, today I only had my phone.. And also hope that it can survive a few more decades as it looks like today. Car parks around everywhere, great junction in Crosby, Liverpool.

Brilliant to experience the feel of the original cinema. I love the way this place has kept it old charm and you can't get cinema tickets cheaper. Great staff too who I believe are all volunteers.

The Plaza is a Wonder! Who would have thought that a community project could achieve so much, so well. It's the only cinema I visit by choice and a valued base for community film-related events such as the Banff Film Festival. Even the slightly naff public information films (about littering for example) are a joy. Quotes from them have become part of my family lore. The team at the Plaza deserve congratulations and praise - and a lot more support. Oh - and they show a good selection films at really low prices in a classic cinema. Highly recommended.

Great little cinema . Was our little boys first time going to a cinema and it was perfect. We really enjoyed Super Mario movie. Great that they provide booster seats for little ones. Sound wasnt too loud which was great as me and and my little boy sometimes have sound sensory problems. Tickets prices brilliant and prices for snacks Great. Toilets very clean. Staff very friendly. Location is great as we don't drive,we got the train and was just a little walk away. Will definitely recommend and will definitely return. πŸ‘Œ

I've driven past here numerous times and wanted to go Finally made it with my friend and we were both blown away by the cinema, we even had a tour of the place (I apologise, I have forgotten his name) but he was amazing, extremely friendly. Will be visiting here again, without a doubt. Have spoken to friends and family about the cinema !

Just the perfect community cinema, that continues to serve us! Mainly run by volunteers and always good value, makes a family outing affordable. Also hosting many extra events for groups and charities. Brilliant work by all!!

Fantastic, beautiful, community run cinema, full of character. Friendly helpful staff, very clean and responsibly priced. (Less than half price for a family of 4 than another larger cinema chain not too far away).

Gorgeous little community charity cinema all run by volunteers. Has one big screen and two smaller screens and shows all the latest movies and sometimes has special screenings and events, especially over xmas time. The cinema itself is beautiful traditional art deco style everywhere even the toilets and the main screen room with colouring changing lights while you wait for the movie to start. The prices are super cheap compared to the the big chains and snacks are good. Theres no fancy seats, it's old style cinema at it's best. If you're in the Waterloo area you definitely show support and catch a flick here.

Love this place!! It has a style that's completely lost these days with all the faceless multiplexes..Staff are friendly and helpful, and the whole place is comfortable, welcoming and spotlessly clean.. Support your local cinema! πŸ˜€

Cheap ticket prices but the snacks are really expensive for what you get . Paid over 12 pound for 1 popcorn and 2 slushes and the sizes are tiny compared to other cinemas, the seats are really uncomfortable for me personally, I came out with a really bad back. I understand the pricing as its run by volunteers so I'd always come back when I can with the children. SORRY don't know the option to reply just personally works out cheaper for me for 1 adult 2 kids at showcase as I'd only need the 1 large popcorn between us all there plus Im a carer so get in free, and with my back its jst more comfy for me. As I said it wouldn't make me not come back to the plaza as I'd always support a place that's for the community.

Took the kids to watch a movie for one of the volunteers constantly walking up and down past us at one point dancing beside us. I suffer with anxiety and to have some one constantly at the side or behind u pacing the floor is just unsettling. Terrible experience kids where to busy watching him than watching the movie. Paid over Β£35.00 for a very unpleasant experience we will not be returning.

Multi room cinema that once upon a time was a lovely little old theatre. One of the rooms now still has a lot of original features from its theatre days which is pretty cool. It is also run by volunteers from the local community who work hard to keep the place going and also prices very very low! Much lower than your standard big cinemas. Can't recommend enough.

Lovely Cinema. Staff are amazingly pleasant, polite and genuinely happy to see you. The place was immaculate as we entered. Its such a shame that adults who where in there left a mess all over the floor and couldn't be bothered to take out their rubbish!!! Well done Plaza on keeping it goingπŸ˜ƒ

Can't praise highly enough. Run by the community, amazing prices, beautiful art deco building with interior features preserved. Love watching movies here.

This incredible art deco cinema is worth visiting just for the architecture and design. On top of that, they show new releases as well as older classics, all for a very reasonable price, at least half of what you'd expect to pay at Odeon or Vue. The staff are friendly and well presented. The cherry (flavouring) on top is that they serve Tango Iceblast, and for much cheaper than other venues. A wonderful cinema!

Nice cinema, went to see Matilda the Musical there today. They do nice nachos :) Taking one star off because some people in front of me started taking Snapchat pictures of the film and it was putting me off. A member of staff was there and knew what was going on but didn't do anything about it and just stood there and watched. The film was great anyway and I would come here again.

Absolutely lovely venue. We hired it recently for a book launch and film viewing, and the staff were kind, friendly and went above and beyond. A really warm and communal atmosphere.

Wonderful place, I love it, and to the person who rated it with one star, you are missing the point, it is a 1920/30 cinema that has been saved, all the staff are volunteers and the prices are very cheap comparatively, what's not to like πŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒ

Just can't fault the Plaza. Took the great granddaughters to watch Frozen 2 and it was a fantastic experience for the four of us. The cinema was warm and clean with very friendly staff. The prices are very competitive too, two cokes two bags of sweets and a tub of popcorn for less that Β£8, the tickets for two adults and two children came to Β£17.50 compared to Β£51 at the Odeon. Well done to all at the Plaza.

Fantastic little gem of a movie theatre... Community-run, so prices are very reasonable and the theatre itself is beautiful. They have managed to preserve the charm of the original while adding two new screens inside soundproof rooms, within the main theatre. Well worth visiting and supporting.
