I saw photos of the arboretum on Google when looking for places to take my family and thought it would be a good idea. So yesterday we decided to go. The sun was shining the weather was lovely. We had to make an hour and a half journey to get there but thought it would he worth the wait. Unfortunately it was all closed off to the public and for members only. It's awful to keep something so beautiful to yourselves. I couldn't even find anywhere to join. We love walking around places like this and we were really disappointed that we wasted our time and money to go there

Beautiful walks with the family and the lake and the lake house is stunning. Very hilly at some points so check the buggy friendly routes please!!

Good selection of flora but is currently overgrown and absolutely riddled with ticks!

Pretty but the majority of ot is now fenced off and inaccessible.

Members only with locked gates, don't bother!

It's ok - just right next to the M3 and you need to become a member to go into any area that aren't public footpaths

Lovely and peaceful despite being next to the M3. Downside is that everything off the footpath is fenced off for members only

Run down and closed off to the public 😟 it used to be lovely now not worth going
