Came here as my partner is Canadian and wanted to try their vegan poutine! I don’t eat poutine so I got a side of vegan chicken, (fyi they do come with veg I didn’t realise so we ordered one without as I wasn’t able to eat it) but I was very glad they did a plain version for me the chicken was great for a non vegan place. My partner said his poutine was incredible

I’ve been wanting to get a takeout from this place for ages and I finally did it. So glad I did. I ordered using the UberEats app as I don’t live local to just drop in for food unless I’m already in town. The food was quick within the time limit they said, the food was amazing, it was well cooked and tasty. I ordered a side order of Salt’n’Pepper Chicken Poutine. Packed with lots of flavour (onions & peppers) with the seeds in to give the food that kick. It says you get about twenty pieces, tbh, I never counted as I was too busy enjoying it to worry as the portion size is good enough. I shouldn’t really have had anymore but I did!. I then enjoyed one of their Cinnabuns, packed with taste, covered in a homemade frosting and with a delicious cinnamon flavour, you really need to try these for a delivery.

Eat in or take out, it's the best comfort food around! A box crammed full of absolute carby, cheesy, gravy goodness served up by friendly staff. Loads, of options for carnivores and veggies, with vegan options too. If you have room after an epic poutine portion make sure you get a maple glazed cinnamon roll to finish you off! It's so good I reckon I'd have this for my final meal if I was on death row!! Get the Christmas special if you're reading this in December cos it's boss! 👌🏼

Had my first poutine ever just now. The steak poutine itself is tasty, however there is a piece of human finger nail inside. Shocked enough to rank this a 1 star instead of 5.

A fairly tasty late night meal though the gravy could have used a tad more flavour... Not as good as the real thing in Canada but not a bad attempt...

I uses to visit Caribou at least twice a week as I live right around the corner and the quality of the food was amazing until Aaron left. Since then there has been a clear difference in the quality of food and general hygiene of the food and shop, and customer service is so disappointing. The staff don't appreciate the customers at all, they forget that we are the people who keep the business running and treat people like they shouldn't even be in there. The quality of the food isn't near as good as it used to be, the portion sizes have decreased massively for how much you're paying, the chips taste asif they have been reheated as does the steak, which is always rubbery and barely edible now. And the gravy which used to be flavourful and thick has gone very watery and tasteless. Very dissapointing! Surely won't recommend this place to anyone in Liverpool and most likely won't be returning again.

Fab food excellent friendly service. Having quite a big choice as a veggie left me stumped but on the bright side is a reason to return to try an another dish.Independently owned which is another plus. Eat in or take away. They did have some cakes that also looked good but I couldn't finish my meal so had no room. Will deffo return (quite often I expect).

A questioning experience. The food itself; couldn't fault. Went for the steak poutine, and wow. The gravy tasted amazing, and the portion size was generous. Opting for takeaway, we had to wait in the venue for the food. During this wait, we noticed how dirty the kitchen actually was. Gravy all over the hot hold, as well as bits of other food. Grated cheese spilling out of one of the containers into another container of other food. Bits of food on the floor all over the kitchen. Even noticed a staff member wiping some utensils on a dirty tea towel hanging from the wall. Seemed a cross contamination disaster. Maybe it's because we ordered in the last hour of their service, but still no excuse for a kitchen to be in that state. Especially when in full view of the customers and seating area. Overall, I'm so glad I tried it. The food was great, cannot fault that aspect. But left questioning their food hygiene.

Food is just on another level. Ordered from uber eats and was impressed by how warm my poutine was. The Salt & Pepper chicken poutine was delicious and filling. Other poutine options are quite varied and impressive to say the least. I have only recently discovered this place and I look forward to eating from it again.

I've been here twice thus far, it's been quite quick service and it's delicious! It's worth the price because you get very big servings. Only thing I've noticed is that they would benefit from more tables but with it being a small space I'm not sure how they could achieve that. Other than that, very tasty and I really like it here.

Went here with a few friends tonight and may have accidentally found one of my favourite scrans in Liverpool so far; the service was extremely friendly, food was prepared quickly and to a good standard; and had me full before I knew it! Top nosh!

My first experience of poutine and it was delicious, hot and fresh. I had the crispy salt and pepper chicken. It was very busy on Friday lunch time but we'll worth the wait.

Just been here tonight after accidentally stumbling across this place. What an amazing accident that was. The food was amazing. Service was great! Well worth the money and will definitely come back when we are visiting Liverpool again. If you love poutine this is worth a try if you are in the area! I can highly recommend the salt and pepper topping!

Lovely staff, nice food and great playlist!! Only thing stopping me from a 5 star review is that the layout of tables is compact and difficult to get through and there seemed to be only one vegetarian(vegan) option..? The food is great though! Massive portions (maybe too much for lunchtime if you have work to do afterwards 🤣) Id love to go back to try their sweet treats!!

What a gem! My first poutine ever, loved it! Basically a take away but a few tables to wait for food/ eat in. Nice atmosphere too, I felt completely comfortable as a woman eating on my own on a Saturday night. 😋

Geat food great atmosphere but time to time they are very busy and you have to wait very long to get the food. The staff plays obscene rapmusic from the speakers containing f word etc.... Not a kid and family friendly place because of that.

We enjoyed the most delicious food on Saturday just after hearing we are going into lockdown for a month. Couldn't imagine a better last meal, everything cooked to perfection and super friendly staff. Looking forward to coming back again we're allowed!

Rude to delivery staff, unpleasant atmosphere, cold food. Witnessed the woman who was serving be really rude to delivery staff (telling them to cancel orders aggressively and to stop shoving their phones in her face ((they weren't))). At the same time she was exceptionally polite to other customers apologising for their wait. The delivery drivers were waiting significantly longer than other customers - we ordered long after, and they were still waiting after we'd finished eating. Really unpolite with with bad attitude.

Brought back good memories of my first experience of poutine whilst in Toronto at the royal agricultural winter fair. Great tasting food and huge portions. Reasonably priced as well. Great staff also. Would definitely go again.

This place is amazing! It is so so tasty, affordable and has great vegan and vegetarian options. I’ve been here a few times for takeaway and every time it’s been really delicious. They are also really friendly! Overall, one of my favourite takeaway places in Liverpool

Really good poutine! So glad to find these have opened an eatery; I found out about them when they were a mobile service, but never managed to catch them. Also managed to introduce three poutine virgins to the delights, and they are converts.

Your opening hours are poor. You need to stay open later. The drunk people want poutine.you are missing out on so many valuable customers we would give you so much money. You would recognise us and we could be friends but now we can’t cause you are never open. This is so disappointing to me and my friends.

Ordered food here few times from food delivery apps, but went in for the first time today. Great service, food and especially lovely staff! They even gave me a few sausages for the dog, it was so thoughtful. Highly recommend

My truck broke down, and I am from Ireland and not familiar with the area, unfortunately my location was too far for a delivery, however, being so hungry and searching for an alternative menu, this is the place I chose. Food looks fantastic, causing my mouth to water just looking at the photos. Good reviews as well, and lovely pleasant girl I spoke to on the phone. Still very hungry, so much so I am going to start eating my shoes.

I’ve been coming here for years and without a doubt every time a friend comes to visit, I always proudly take them here! The food is 10/10 and service is always fantastic and as fast as they can go. Today on a busy Saturday, they were extremely busy and when I got the wrong order (my fault, it was complicated) they insisted on making me the correct one despite me saying it’s OK. Wonderful service, just hoping the owner will hire some extra people to help their staff on a Saturday :)

I've usually always had a nice experience here however lately customer service, food and hygiene wise it seems to be going very downhill. The last 3 times I've been have been awful, the staff were rude, the place was dirty the food was cold (steak chewy unedible and freezing). I always order gravy separate but on my recent visit they forgot to put it in the bag and when I politely asked about it whilst juggling 3 bags one of the workers dumped it on the counter and said "oh yeah here it is", it spilled when put in the bag and when I asked for a tissue rudely stated and pointed they're at the end leaving me to awkwardly clean everything up. Also I ordered a steak poutine with crispy onions which they charged an extra 40 pence for and didn't even put on!!! (Shown on pictures) I think the staff should be more aware of what 'customer service' means. They treat people (aswell as uber eats drivers) like intruders in their home and one specific worker, ginger with glasses seems to think she's the owner!! Bossing all the others around. Definitely needs another trip from the hygiene inspector because it's clear that it shouldn't have been even given a 3 out of 5 Star Food hygiene rating. Safe to say it's not a place I look forward to visiting anymore and I definitely won't be.

Before I posted here, I have ordered three times from these amazing people. You feel their passion for poutine in every bite. All 3 times were perfect. Their poutine is that type of food which doesn’t need any additional ingredients or doesn’t missing anything, it’s just perfect. Deffo is in my list of preferences and I highly recommend to anyone! Big and mouthwatering portions, perfect medium rare steak, savoury gravy… it’s insane in the good meaning of this word!❤️❤️❤️

Got the maple fried chicken poutine and it was perfect, then followed it with the cinnamon roll which is the nicest one I’ve ever had, will definitely be going back to this place. Top marks

I go with my wife to this restaurant quite often! This is my favorite spot to have a bite. I visit this spot many times. The meals are very good, the workers are polite and the cost is reasonable. I like going in this place to have a decent dinner.

Food fabulous and excellent portions. Disappointed in cleanliness of cafe. Floor behind counter was filthy. If you sit in corner table you can see right into food prep area and floor had not been washed that day at least. Floor under tables didn't look as if they had been brushed for few days. Sorry but just takes the edge away from fantastic food.

Ordered out from there. All I can say is lost for words. The food is so delicious. The portion sizes were massive 👌 always a bonus and the deserts are the best and freshest I've had in a long time. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Superb flavors! Very tasty poutine with good portion sizes. Great quality steak! Don't skip on the sweet treats! Expect some wait times based on pick-up orders. But everything gets freshly prepared. They got a handful of seats/tables available. Everything, even when dining in, is served in paper dishes which results in a lot of rubbish!

The food was absolutely mouthwatering! I’ve never had poutine before but wanted to see what the hype was for. WOW!! Not disappointed. So many vegan options- was spoiled for choice. Don’t think I can have regular chips now. It must be poutine. Highly recommended.

Meh! Chips, cheese and gravy should be as lovely as it sounds but there are issues here that means 2 visits were enough to put us off a 3rd. 1st time was OK, the vegan poutine was very nice, a bit of spice to the gravy and once I'd added the crispy onions it was really tasty. My OH had a steak special but the steak was rubbery. Although the Cinnabuns are gorgeous £3.20 each is way to pricey, a nice trest though. 2nd visit, they were out of a lot of ingredients and I nearly walked into a trap by ordering a vegan mozzarella fella...after questioning the ingredients it turned out that the mozzerella wasnt vegan and they used the same cheese as the vegan poutine, seeing as they were also out of onions, I would have paid them a couple of quid more and just got the basic vegan poutine if Id not spotted it. The server had no allergy knowledge about lactose presence in mozzarella...kept saying it was vegetarian when I was asking about whether it was real dairy and had lactose, the menu board says ask for vegan (and you can get vegan mozzarella subs elsewhere)! We ended up with a really disappointing meal, 50% of the chips in the container were fluffy and had the unpleasant texture of reheated chips. Had stomachache for hours after eating them. The vegan salt and pepper nuggets were bland and dry, not the salt and pepper heat and lovely flavour expected at all and expensive for portion size too, the buffalo chicken pieces worked out at a £1 each but were the size of a fat finger each and covered in a horrid acrid sauce. Never going back. Make our own poutine 1000x better at home. Some really miserable staff members on both visits too.

The portion sizes are surprisingly large so do not let the brown box the food comes in deceive you. Another surprise was that the vegetarian option tasted much nicer then the meat option.

Ordered at home on deliveroo, one of the best takeaways I’ve ever had. Me and my partner got the salt and pepper poutine and the mrs piggy one and were blown away. Such good value, big servings and super tasty. Would definitely recommend and will be ordering again soon.

food very very salty very sloppy couldn't even eat it because of so much salt....now for the ice cream what they show on the pictures is NOT what turns up at your door they show big tub on the site only way i can explain how small it was is you only get 3 TEA SPOONS from it and they charge 3 pound......They are fooling people with the size of the pictures they show on line with the boxes of food and ice ream.....stay away

First time trying and I thought it was absolutely delicious (the steak and garlic butter poutine) and I finished the whole box, which was just enough portion size to fill me up. All elements of the dish worked together and the price is good. I'll definitely be going back. Hooray Canada.

Very good food, excellent wine list, nice surroundings but what sets this place apart is the service, absolutely top quality by all.

Being Canadian when I saw a poutine place near my hotel I just had to try it. The place did not disappoint! There were plenty of choices and the poutine was delicious. The place small with only a few tables but the staff were very friendly and the food very good.

Hangover poutine does exactly what it says on the tin! Even the smell when walking past here makes my mouth water, the staff are also really helpful!

I have always has such a good meal from here. I am a vegetarian and both the salt n pepper & maple 'chicken' was amazing. The flavours the textures are just great. I also tried their cinnamon bun and they are SO good. So soft and tasty they're amazing would definitely recommend!

Reasonable price for such a large portion, with good gravy and decent chips. The regular poutine comes standard with mozzarella-style cheese instead of authentic curds. 'Squeaky curds' are +50p, which I haven't tried yet so cannot comment.

I think maybe I am one of the first group trenchermen in Caribou Poutine. At the time that it was open, I was a new student in Liverpool. And after these recent years, I have graduated. In the past Liverpool was my Journey's start. Then everything changed, Liverpool changed to my Journey's end. But, The Poutine still so fabulous. Thank you very much. Salute for my youth! Salute for Liverpool! Salute for Caribou Poutine!

My partner would sell me for one of these, it's that good, doesnt matter what dish you get, its top quality food, decent price and loads of it!!!

Definitely worth a look. Friendly staff, but the food is even better. Something for everyone. If you love cheese and you love gravy then you'll go crazy for them combined. It's only small inside so expect a wait for a table or just get a takeout.
