Booked for the evening set menu and we were not disappointed. The food we had was the closest to the food we had whilst in Japan, that we've found anywhere in the UK. Perfectly prepared, the best ingredients and great service from friendly and attentive staff. Couldn't ask for more, a great experience and fantastic meal.

If you're looking for an intimate dining experience, this is the place to go! We had their 8 course Omakase meal and each dish was delicious from start to finish. All the ingredients are super fresh, and majority of them were flown in specially from Japan. Their Kobe Beef was the highlight of the night, as the meat simply melts in your mouth. We really appreciate Lauren and Chef Darren for explaining each dish in detail, and for teaching us how to enjoy Japanese Tea.

Could not be more helpful in orchestrating a suburb meal! I'm type 1 diabetic and they created and amended a menu for myself and non diabetic lady so that we both could enjoy everything! You can tell in talking with both Laura and Darren that they are passionate not only about thier love of food but helping others. The food was of course outstanding both in quality and flavours. You can really tell that only the best ingredients are used. We had the Kobe beef with noodles, mixed sashimi, as well as the miso smoked haddock soup. All so very tasty. All very fancy and I had high expectations which they did not fail to meet. I expected to love the Kobe and sashimi but the miso haddock was an unusual choice for me and it really surprised me... I loved it.

Excellent authentic Japanese street food. Small and personal, more like eating in their home than a restaurant. Probably not good if you don't like raw fish as this is 80% of the menu. Highly recommended for those who do though. Quite expensive but you get your monies worth in food. Edit: Owners got back to me to say they can cater for vegan and vegetarian diets as well so now you have no excuse, give them a try.

I booked in July for my boyfriends birthday, and we had the best time. Amazing food, unique experience, all very covid safe. Really generous portions too! Appreciated the attention to detail and the specially prepared dairy free dessert that was organised for me. Would absolutely love to come back.

We went for omakase on a Saturday evening. Laura who served us was very friendly and attentive. The fish itself was of high quality but the dishes did not have the delicacy expected from authentic Japanese cuisine and expected given the price. Large quantities however, so you will definitely fill up! Do make sure you’re on time for the omakase or else you will be refused.

Auradaze is a truely intimate and authentic Japanese experience. Laura is a warm and attentive host who has a wealth of knowledge on Japanese culture and food, She makes you feel comfortable from the minute you walk in. When my fiancé requested a fork for one of the courses she was refused in such a kind and humble manner explaining that metal on the table is not 'Feng Shui' to the Japanese dining experience, she was shown how it could be made easier for her by using an elastic band and rolled up piece of paper. By the end of the evening she was picking up rice grains with ease, im glad my fiancé has finally learned how to use chopsticks because of Laura, so thanks again! (They will give you a fork if you still struggle with the chopsticks) The 8 course Omakase 'Trust the Chef' dining experience is one of true character and flavour. We started with the delicious Miso soup with Scolop and Shishito Peppers which gave a real rich flavour and warmth to the stomach. Followed by a gigantic King Scollop Nigri with a little vinaigrette dressing as Sushi apprently means vinegar rice and not raw fish. Next we had more Sushi this time Salmon and Tuna Sashimi and Nigri with authentic Wasabi. After this we had a crispy Salmon skin salad. This was then complimented with Langoustine in a rich flavoursome sauce, which was a messy but fun dish. After some cleaning up this was followed with a creamy sashimi pallet cleanser of Sea bass sprinkled with a little lemon pepper. The highlight of the evening was the exceptional Kobe Beef, the most melt in your mouth delicious flavoured beef you have ever tasted, well worth the upgrade and price! The evening was finished with a two small deserts one a cherry blossom rice cake which is an unusal combination of sweet and salty at the same time the latter being a type of mango ice cream with a sweet jelly coating. Darren the chef has really researched and executed these dishes to the highest level, obviously being taught by some of the finest Japanese chefs for him to pass these truely authentic flavours to us westerners and for this I thank him and Laura for such an amazing experience. Highly reccomended for anyone up for challenging what they think is Authentic Japanese cuisine! We'll be back again soon!

This was by far the best Japanese “experience” we have ever had, and that includes living in the East for many years. The whole atmosphere from walking in the door, through the exquisite meal, the friendly and informative service explaining each course, to feeling as though you have spent the evening with friends. We will definitely visit every time we return to the Lakes.

Loved our dining experience at Auradaze. Every one of the 8 courses was perfection. From Scottish Salmon sushi to Scallops from Nova Scotia, everything tasted amazing. Darren and Laura are great hosts and make everyone feel welcome in a comfortable and cosy atmosphere.

I like the appearance design of this restaurant. I just saw the circular logo when having breakfast and decided to eat with my friends. Aura gave a detailed introduction, because we chose kobe beef chef trust without reservation. The food was very surprising! Each dish is original Japanese taste and fresh in quality. Even with a single chef, the dishes come to table not slow. I think it's as good as Michelin! We talked a lot about cooking and got gifts from the chef. We also bought a lot of Japanese products, it was an unforgettable meal, we will come again!
