Average day out! Seems not so organised by the farm management. Anyway less choice of seasonal crop and all that claimed wasn't available as well, Can spend an hour there and try to get your money back with expensive strawberries and Blackberries!

This was really hard to review as the service and the people were just so nice and lovely. Unfortunately, we went during a time where fruits weren’t really prominent, that could be our fault but it is still annoying. The ice cream is quite expensive but I have seen why, I guess it’s explainable. The amount of crops to pick is also quite small, Garsons has a larger collection. A good day out but kind of disappointing, this review is more so based on the people and service.

Great place for kids to pick your own. Onsite there are ice cream and small cafe for sweets/drinks/cakes. Lots of ice cream flavours but it's very pricey. Small playground. There are no toilet facilities onsite If you want to do pick your own, you need to book a slot in advance (via the website). Note: it can get very muddy so wear appropriate clothing.

Went here with my best friend and my nephews on a July afternoon. Good produce however, I’m quite shocked to find there were no toilets nor water available. There wasn’t even a hose to wash feet or childrens face’s as it was very dusty. There is just a shop where you can buy ice cream. Not even water or juice available. Needs improvement.

Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Fantastic location with a variety of fruit and veggies on offer to pick (depending on the month). Fantastic ice creams too and all very reasonably priced. Lovely day out would highly recommend.

Around £8/kg strawberries. Overall nice. You get to pick what you want to buy and eat. Some of the rules are a bit strange but, it is what it is

They now charge an entry fee that’s refundable against what you pick . Turned up and they said they had raspberries, strawberries, blackberries and broadbeans - sounded great. Paid and went in to find absolutely no ripe raspberries or blackberries and very few strawberries. Told the staff this and they said “yea we had them earlier but they got picked. It’s a bit like when you go to a supermarket, they sell out sometimes”. Didn’t have an answer when I said “but they don’t charge an admission fee”. Anyway we picked 2 punnets of strawberries and a bag of broadbeans - and then had to pay another £10 on top of the £16 we paid to get in - never again.

We decided to visit Crockbridge farm for the annual pumpkin festival, it looked great on the website. It was an event we would never return to. We arrived, the festival was a small muddy field with basic playground equipment and tyres to climb on (not really suited to children over 4.) There were a few areas where you could ring toss/pumpkin shy but they looked like they had been made with the off cuts of an old shed! For such a small area it was packed. There were big queues just to get a hot drink as only one refreshment hut in the whole festival. The music was excessively loud that you had to shout have a conversation with the person next to you. We left after 30-40 mins as we had done the whole event and the kids were bored .Outside the festival were fairground rides which had to be paid for separately . Fairly expensive for a basic/muddy day out. Much better value going to a local farm to do the Halloween activities . The highlight was watching the kids catch the giant bubbles! We won’t be coming back anytime soon

Like an experience from American films. As soon as you walk onto the site there’s a static old black London taxi cab full with presents. There’s even a cheese toastie van. A few stalls and a bar area outside with Chester leather sofas, plenty of other seating gave a tiki feel prob great in summer. Lots of Christmas trees decorated! To name a few was Selling hot chocolate and mulled wine and mince pies. When you go to the kiosk for the Christmas trees you can see and feel the 3 options of Christmas trees they have. You can select pre cut, potted or cut your own. We chose to ‘cut your own’ and we collected a coloured wheel barrow you pay afterwards. MAKE SURE TOU BRING YOUR OWN HAND SAW AND WEAR WELLIES!!! it’s a working farm so a walk of about 5/8mins walk to the tree plots all signed on route on which trees you are after by height. The ones 7ft and under are a bit further but if you’re going as a family and don’t mind your kids getting a bit muddy there’s plenty of muddy puddles and mug to swish through its part of the fun I think. When getting to the selected area you can walk amongst the trees and feel smell and pick your ideal one! It’s something me & kids will never forget! After cutting tree and before you go to kiosk to pay some lovely men net your tree and then you walk back to car to plonk your tree on your roof or roof rack. Make sure you put the tree stump facing bonnet and having some racket straps to secure. After we did that we walked back round and had a hot choc and mince pie. Next door a stone throw literally is a garden centre. They’re not joined so you can walk or drive round to go get some decorations for your tree.

Make sure to remember to book for PYO in the summer! It's not cheap but it's never going to be. Great ice cream parlour on site which is an added bonus.

Went there are 3:30pm nearly the last slot of this weekend, not surprisingly all ultra large strawberries are gone but still managed to find some smaller ripe ones. Nicely managed small farm, path are neat, dry and straw covered , reasonably priced, got a swing and a small shaded playground so enough fun for the kids. The ice cream kiosk is a gem !

We have been there for Halloween festival and we really enjoyed the atmosphere. The ice cream was really tasty. However the recreation area should be free to access otherwise with a toddler will be difficult to go out in time if she has to eat.

Great morning / afternoon can be had fruit veg picking Be aware that due to weather conditions some of the crops may be a little scarce - there’s no indication of this on the website either - it can make it a little difficult picking enough to cover the cost of booking Great cafe and ice cream area really peaceful and with more than one area for the kids to play

Decent fruit harvest. Suggest go early in the season or at least early in the day to pick the most obvious ones. We went at 10am in late June. Had to open the leaves of the strawberries trees to see ripe strawberries. But overall, the taste is SUPER SUPER good. Really worth the money and effort. The blackberries are probably the best I’ve ever had. Btw we had a toddler aged 17 months and she also enjoyed. Cover up because it can be quite sunny and hot!

We love this place specially during Autumn season. Our kid’s love picking their own pumpkins and the ice cream place there is brilliant.

Went on a weekday pumpkin picking. Was lovely! So friendly and welcoming, beautiful selection of sizes and colours of pumpkin and squashes! Most of the pumpkins had beautiful stems on them from where they were cut long and have all curled over. We’ve come away with a very large lovely shaped pumpkin! Super friendly staff, we stopped for and ice cream and a drink when we had finished. Perfect for the little ones with a little play area and a massive tree swing even I had to have a go! Had a wonderful trip out will definitely come again!

Great place for cutting your own Christmas tree🎄 There were lots of kids having fun picking out the trees. Keep in mind it's extra muddy, you definable need some proper footwear. You can get some hot drinks there too.

We went to the Crockford Bridge farm for the Pumpkin Festival and we had the LOVELIEST time. We are four adults with no children, but it was my sisters birthday and we wanted to celebrate with a cute activity and this was the perfect day out. Even though tickets were sold out, we sent an email explaining we didn’t realise that we needed to buy tickets and it’s my sisters birthday. A person responded and told us to let Jenny at the door know who very kindly allowed us in. It truly made our day and we ended up staying for three whole hours, enjoying the amazing entertainment put on at the farm. We’ve been to many other pumpkin farms, but it was our first time at Crockford’s and it was such a blast. So much thought has been put in to every aspect; from the food to the rides to the special performances. There were SO MANY pumpkins, all shapes and sizes, arranged in cute displays such as old bathtubs and pyramids. Even the wheelbarrows were lovely and colourful. There were so many pumpkins you’d never imagine we are days away from Halloween! Tons of effort has been put into the decor, from pumpkins in hanging baskets to painted pumpkins in displays. We especially loved the roof of rainbow painted pumpkins, it was so cute. There’s some lovely stands; face painting, ring throwing, pumpkin carving, and a gorgeous tree-tied swing. We ate the most delicious wood fired pizza which was ready within 10 minutes, and the chicken and waffles from the second food truck were really tasty too. The ice cream shack had a ton of different flavours, and was creamy and delicious. It was lovely to see all the families enjoying their time, so many dressed up in Halloween outfits and safe to run around and enjoy. Though we did not come prepared with correct shoes which suit wet farmground, I didn’t have any trouble walking around because even if there was mud there was gravel underneath it so I never felt worried I’d slip even on my ballet flats. Above all else, the staff themselves are so kind, hardworking, and helpful. Though they are working outdoors in the cold and rain, and dealing with masses of people all needing help, each and every member of staff, from those at the door to the cashiers to the entertainment acts, were so lovely and cheerful. We absolutely cannot wait to come back next year and are so beyond happy that we had such a special memorable day out as a family.
