My son rehomed a G SD puppy approx 3 years ago.from RSPCA Chesterfield..The staff at the home were very caring and professional right through the adoption process. The home itself was spotlessly clean and all the animals in comfortable surroundings. Would thoroughly recommend this shelter to potential adopters. Just in case the staff may recall the puppy was Bear known as Ted. He has grown into a beautiful dog

Benji the Parson Russell Terrier, came to live with us last week. It was a bit like an arranged marriage, as we had only seen him by photo then videos, because of Covid restrictions. Likewise the home visit, was by video. Benji was delivered to us, and we instantly fell in love with him. He is a young dog full of character, and full of love, and has settled in really well with us. He was in good physical condition, and obviously during his stay, well looked after. I would certainly recommend RSPCA Chesterfield, as a caring and professional organisation, and thank them for allowing Benji to come and live with us. UPDATE 15 months on from adoption. Benji has proven to be a talented little star. His amazing ability to learn new things, took us along the Trick Dog training route. Benji flew through his Trick Dog Titles, then became a Champion followed by becoming a Grand Champion in July. He is only the second Parson Russell Terrier in the World to achieve this Title. Rescue dogs have so much to give, never under estimate them because they are a rescue. Benji has enhanced our lives, in ways we never thought would happen, we love him to bits!

Great caring staff, we welcomed Tara 2 years ago Into our home, and the team did an amazing job rehabilitating her after her poor start in life.

Over the years we have adopted in total 2 dogs and 3 cats from the Chesterfield branch of the RSPCA. They do great work, friendly staff and very helpful. The new centre is bright, warm and welcoming. Rescue animals are not animals with problems, just animals needing a good home!

Absolutely lovely without them I wouldn't have got my beautiful gizmo. 10 out of 10 look after the animals like their own family.

We have adopted 3 cats over the last couple of years and are really impressed with the shelter and organisation. The team are really knowledgeable, helpful and welcoming and we have 3 lovely cats. We would definitely look to adopt in future years and would recommend RSPCA Chesterfield to others who want to give a deserving pet a home. Thank you to everyone who works for them.

Service was great but they vaccinate the pups but you can't get the same vaccination meds from any other vets and RSPCA will not give them there second vacs, so we have to start again now.

Lovely staff who care deeply about the animals in their care. Professional and friendly, when we left with our new dog we were asked to stay in touch so they know how we are all getting on.

I adopted my boy during lockdown and every precaution was made by the Chesterfield team to ensure that we were both well taken care of. I am still in touch; I update them on his progress and always receive a response. My dog was in tip top condition when he came to me having needed quite a lot of treatment. He is now very happy and settled. I cannot recommend, nor thank, the RSPCA at Chesterfield enough.

My local branch were no help at all, they just gave me a phone number to call. The number I called were also unhelpful. That's the last time I'll try to use them, as they were particularly unhelpful, and wasted a lot of my time. If I see an injured animal again, I will not waste my time calling the RSPCA.

Saw Swan on Chesterfield canal with a fish hook line and lure hanging out of its mouth. Struggled for quite a while to find a number to ring. Said to go to different web sites which didn't help me at all, VERY confusing!!!I finished off just ringing RSPCA and they gave me another number to ring. At last spoke to a lady who was really helpful with a positive 'can do' attitude. She took lots of information and the Swan has gone missing. Hopefully they have taken it to remove the fishing tackle and bring it back well and happy.

My local but have only just gone in, ordered the pork pie platter with 2 x cheese the bar lady asked how many plates? I said 1 the answer should have been 3 or 4 because that's how much cheese there was could have cut pork pie into 4 too, my husband had the goulash and couldn't move after
