Well-run peaceful campsite. We had a lovely time here for 4 nights in the bell tent in a bit of a rainy July. The hosts and family are very hospitable and welcoming, and the atmosphere with the other guests was pleasant and respectable as you’d like. There is a small shop on site and a village shop 5 mins drive away. The toilets were always clean and the showers were hot and high pressure which was very welcome! There is a great playground for the kids and multiple destinations within a short drive for day trips. We particularly like Dunster Castle. The bell tent came with a solar powered battery pack which was a great touch for Charing phones etc. Thanks for the stay and the understanding!

My first ever visit to Burton Springs and spent 48hrs on the Kingfisher lake and landed my pb catfish weighing 70lbs 4oz. My honest opinion is that the fishery is very well maintained, staff are very friendly and helpful, toilets and showers are spotless , the swims are excellent and the fishing is superb. Overall great experience, can't wait to visit again.

Lovely big pitches, super clean toilets and showers with plenty of hot water. Hosts available and helpful but relaxed and easy going too. Great to have an open fire in the firepit provided. I didn't fish, but did enjoy the peaceful setting and lush green planting around the lakes. Strange to be camping so close to Hinckley Point, but we felt in the heart of the countryside surrounded by birdsong and gorgeous horses in the neighbouring fields. Great holiday

Great place, but the effort put in by the new owners is phenomenal. New swims, upgraded toilets and also putting in the extras when needed. Fab job.

Lovely camp site hosts were very friendly and helpful, facilities were kept very clean and the site very tidy. Will definitely be returning in the future. Thanks for a lovely Easter. (Only one small comment would like to see no cars next to pitches as carpark very close.)

Absolutely loving this site, a fishing persons ideal location. The site has beautiful very large ponds where you can literally camp on the waters edge. Also has several pods with all mod cons, walked around the ponds with dog & its beautiful Motorhomes, tents & caravans in separate fields with electric hookup. Another field used for the glamping pods. toilet & shower cubicles are spotless, around 8 pods, each one contains a toilet & shower, fab idea. The site has a very reasonably priced well stocked honesty shop, different visiting food vans, ice cream, fish & chips, also has 24 hour games room. This is one of the best sites I've been to. Would definitely return & highly recommend Such a fab find

Just got back from Burton Springs We camped for three night in our Camplet trailer tent Had such a restful relaxing time that I only took one photo and that was off the entrance as we arrived! Facilities are first class, I’m a wheel chair user/2 sticks for short journeys and you can easily drive up to the toilet block and use the designated disabled toilet which is only about 8/10 paces to walk but is also wheelchair accessible The disabled toilet which consisted of a large cube with seated shower, wheelchair accessible wash sink and hand railed toilet, so all in all ideal for all types of disablements. I didn’t wonder around much as the grass was a tad soggy due to rain, but from what I could see everywhere was accessible for wheelchairs to have a look around all the lakes etc. Jennifer and Gareth were really helpful asking if we needed help putting up our trailer tent but we were ok as we were camping right beside my twin in his motor home! Burton spring was a great meet up for us as we live in Worcestershire and took us roughly 2 1/2 hours with a stop and my brother 1 1/2 from Paignton. Happy camping all that follow us and would certainly return 10/10 from us all

This place is honestly amazing! I’ve been quite a few times up to a couple of years back, but myself and some old friends decided to come and fish for a couple of nights recently. Gareth and Jennifer clearly have an outstanding knowledge of their waters and an obvious passion for what they do. They were super friendly and there to offer advice on fishing spots/tactics. Shame I didn’t catch, but that’s just the way it goes. A couple of my friends did manage to have a few out (which obviously totally didn’t bother me… 😂). Already looking at returning again! 100% recommend to anyone, you’ll love it! Cheers, Gareth and Jennifer, we’ll see you again soon I’m sure!

We stayed for 2 nights in a bell tent and overall the experience, but not extremely sure on how the bell tents are cleaned. When we checked in I had the impression that the bedding is clean even though it didn't seem iron, thus giving a bit they feeling it might have been used, but thought it's my imagination. The following day, I found a glass quite dirty which raised more questions marks - even though it is a note that everybody has to wash the cutlery and dishes, U would expect before someone new checks in to be checked and washed accordingly. The toilettes are quite clean and well maintained and the location is nice as well as peaceful. We had our dog with us a Beagle and I was very happy to know there is a field where I could let her go play without a leash as it was supposed to be safe especially that she is a 9 months puppy, so not yet fully trained to recall - it was a mistake as I ended up trying to catch her as she escaped through the closed gate of the dog field as the fence wasn't in good shape. She is a very calm puppy, but I was afraid of losing her.

Great fishery for beginners and people who like catching BIG fish, due to having 3 seperate ponds. lovely well kept campsite. Honesty shop, Couldn't ask for more.

Great fishery, very clean and tidy with good facilities. Nice to have proper shower and toilet blocks and a small shop for snacks and tackle. The fishing was good too - it was fishing slow when I was down there but still managed to catch one. Swims are large and wood chipped. Would return.

This campsite was a great find, really welcoming hosts and immaculate toilet facilities. Only stayed one night as we were hiking nearby in the quantocks but will definitely be back. Couple of pubs in walking distance and very dog friendly. Owners have really thought about the camping experience and made visits here very easy and enjoyable. Oh and there's also fishing!

Really enjoyed our stay, there is large gravel stones near shop, loo and showers which makes it difficult to walk on facilities are being updated. Could do with wifi, but overall a very nice place.

Fabulous campsite, a real find. We stayed for three nights in August 2021. Moterhome on hardstanding and a pod. Very friendly owners that are very visible around the site. Clean and well maintained toilet and shower facilities. Campsite is quiet and has a lovely children's play area and also an enclosed dog field where they can run off lead. We'll miss the puppy socialisation with Dexter! Very best of luck and many thanks for the Pod gifts it was a lovely touch.

Had an amazing 2 night fishing break, site is well looked after, showers and toilet block cleaned daily. We will definitely be returning and whilst the fish wasn't biting due to the obscene heat couldn't of had a better weekend away.

Lovely place. Stayed for 2 nights, camping and fishing. Really friendly and helpful owners. Relaxing and quiet atmosphere. Site is immaculate and showers and toilets spotless. Not "overbooked" so plenty of space for all. Thanks, see you again 👍

Brilliant!! Everything you want in a camp site. Great owners, great fishing, seperate dog play area, kids play park, shop and peaceful. Not a massive site and it was nice and quiet. I will be back.
