I work at malcolms at casteford depot as a class 1 driver you are spoken to and treat with respect good top spec trucks excellent wages and close to home the best company i have driven for in years im happy but i dare say there are people that are not as happy

It has been a long time since i left it perhaps i should have add a review before so many drivers wouldn't have to join that mess, absolutely disgusting staff and scruffy units, use them as a last resource otherwise just skip them. Always phone you if you stop for a moment, push you to the limits and infringements. Pay roll is always wrong with your wages. Don't believe okey you will be the next one here leaving an honest opinion. Don't tell then I did not warn you.

1st time in and out. No such problems and no problem coming back. Big yard and plenty space for trailers.

Tipping takes a long time as they prefer loading and unloading their own trucks before you get your turn,it doesn't matter what time is your booking. Fork lift guys have too many cigarette breaks.

Easy work , average pay. Good employer. Pay on time . Uniform. New trucks. Training. But there is one man at the Wakefield depot that nobody likes and have been countless numbers of good drivers that left because of his attitude, bad planning and arrogance and yet he is still there. If said man left today I’d return back to Malcolm’s tomorrow.

I worked for malcolms for about 7 months. And In all honesty if you are new to the hgv game it's the perfect place to start your career. The money (wage) is not a wage its more like a whip round. But the experience and knowledge you get from the lads that work there is just what you need when you are new to driving wagons. I learned more or less everything I needed to set me up in my career from just 7 or so months at malcolms. The main manager jason is a complete tool but if you can ignore him and focus on just been there for a couple of months you will be fine.

Wagon driver in Barnsley nearly crashed in to me and cut me off on roundabout my right of way should be more careful will end up killing someone one day
