    Just had car repaired by these people what a rip off £699 to replace drive shaft No reason why it's that expensive as other garages were between £350 and £550 they were recommended to us so we paid for the car to be towed to them big mistake receipt shows no diagnostic check but charge £97,20 for one. Also labour cost work at around d £120 per hour must be a joke Anyway keep away much better at a lot cheaper I should have shoped around anyway will never use this place again.

    "I would recommend Peter Ambrose Castleford Ltd to friends and family because there on your side you can look around all there cars and test drive the one you came to see if you see anything that needs fixing they will fix it also they give 12 months warranty 7 day drive away insurance and free MOT test for the life of the car. I would go back and get my next car from them."

    Craig and all the staff at Peter Ambrose Castleford Ltd were fantastic. Purchasing my car was a pleasant and stress-free experience every step of the way. I felt the customer service was friendly and tailored to me, with no "hard sell". The personalised video of the interior/exterior prior to collection and after-sales courtesy call were nice touches. I would definitely recommend and would certainly use again in the future. Excellent!!! Thank you :-)

    After looking for a car for a few weeks, visting the usual suspects and being subjected to the usual sales patter and constant irritating sales patter we visited Peter Ambrose on a Bank Holiday fearing more of the same, but it couldn't have been more different. We were met by Chris, who could not do enough for us, but not in a patronising sales way. He left us to browse, kept on getting keys so we could look around vehicles and took us out for a drive in a couple of them. After deciding that we were interested in a car that had come in a day or so before and hadn't yet been prepped he still allowed us to take it out. We pointed out a few things that we were not fully happy with, including some cosmetic marks and Chris promised to get them sorted. One of them needed a specialist, so we had taken the car before it was sorted, and they lived upto their promise, with Ryan keeping in touch whilst they sourced someone to do the repair and providing us with a courtesy car whilst the work was undertaken. Based on our experience so far, I would whole heartildy recommend Peter Ambrose!

    I purchased my Peugeot 2008 a few months ago. The service I received was mixed. Richard was most upbeat, helpful and kind- he was not at all pushy, which I appreciated. I also spoke with a few other staff during the purchasing process, all of who were friendly. The steering was off during the test drive but I was assured this would be fixed and the car would receive a full valet, all ready for collection. Post purchase, there was some indecision regarding the collection date- which was inconvenient when trying to arrange the insurance. In addition to this, when I did collect the car it was not properly valeted and I noticed on the drive home that the steering was not corrected either, as promised. After some negotiation (I am not local to the showroom) I decided to get the tracking fixed locally, only to find out it was not the tracking. Peter Ambrose then collected the car and dropped me a courtesy car while the repairs took place their side. I got my car back after a few days and all was sorted. However, I was naturally disappointment and the inconvenience and stress caused. I paid for a valet myself. I work full time and communicating with them wasn’t the easiest- it was me that had to push for this and make all the calls etc. Later on, I asked for a gesture of goodwill regarding a new tyre (worn on one side due to the faulty steering). I was told a certain no and that I should basically be grateful for the service I received, as this is something they do not normally do. So be warned, if promises are made during a test drive- do not expect these to be fulfilled, it is apparently ‘not normal’ for them to do this. The manner in which I was spoken to when asking about the tyre was also aloof. So all in all, I am now happy with my car, but as a customer who paid on time without hassle, I was disappointed with the let downs, inconvenience and curt response of a certain member of the staff. I did reply to PA after receiving a letter from them regrading my car, outlining the above. This went ignored.

    Great experience. No pushy sales tactics at all, and everything clear and up front right from the start. Nice small team. Ryan was excellent and was there to assist along the way. Asked if they could contact the car maker (Volvo) to verify some things, which they did, and got everything resolved before purchase without any issues. Highly recommend and will be considering them for any future needs. Thank you!

    I'd recommend Peter Ambrose Castleford Ltd to anyone. Matthew was very friendly. I felt that he was honest, genuinely interested in my enquiry and I got a really good vibe. Communication was good and there was really very little I could fault. Honestly the only thing to be improved was the showroom could do with a paint of the window frames! But that is literally it. I’d happily buy from this dealer again without hesitation.

    I'd recommend Peter Ambrose Castleford Ltd because young salesman Matthew was polite and courtesy and very knowledgable of the vehicles they had for sale and inparticular of the vehicle we went on to purchase . Everything was explained regarding the vehicle preparation prior to purchase and handover. Relevant quotes were given as optional regarding servicing and gap insurance. Warranty explained. Very satisfied with whole process.

    Went to enquire about a missing extremely expensive 1.5” piece of plastic cover for our RCZ 200 headlamp washers. Found on line that this is a dealer only part costing £92.00. Google this for any other car and it would be a tenner. Peter Ambrose abruptly told me it was telephone ordering only. I advised him that I was not sure if only the cap was missing and needed the dealer to look and let me know. He told me his mechanics were far too busy and thrust his business card in my hand and told me to phone and they will look on the computer. I asked how the hell will they be able to see my car and advise if anything else is missing. I was virtually ushered out of the shop. It’s about time this old timer gives up and hands the business with someone who knows about customer care. I then went to Evans Halshaw in Wakefield where I had a far better experience. We have one of the best looking cars that Peugeot have made, but sadly this dealership will not be getting my custom again 🤬

    I'd endorse Peter Ambrose Castleford Ltd because I have always had excellent service from them over many years. Being a family business its nice to be welcomed and treated in a friendly yet professional manner. Its always a pleasant atmosphere and you feel under no pressure all through the transaction.     From initial enquiry right through to collection of my car, this is a 100% honest review, I will always give the good the bad and the ugly, I initially dealt with Matthew, who apparently hasn't been with Peter Ambrose for long, but showed care, compassion, knowledge and expertise beyond his years, thank you very much, any further enquiries or questions were dealt with in a very timely and efficient manner, they were always on the ball and in touch regularly by telephone. As Matthew was on holiday when it came to collection time, Adam was assigned to take over to complete the paperwork and collection of my car, once again, kind caring and compassionate in everyway, I would very highly recommend Peter Ambrose Castleford and in particular Matthew and Adam for their excellent service, keep up the good work ladies and gentlemen :-)

    Friendly and professional service. I didnt end up buying my car here as another one elsewhere suited my needs better, but the service was great. The staff are helpful and friendly, they didnt pressure me and really made me feel at ease. I wouldn't hesitate to contact them again next time I'm in the market for a car.

    "Peter Ambrose Castleford Ltd were great because from walking into the showroom there was no 'hard' sell just very friendly people that bent over backwards to find me the vehicle that i was looking for. They actually made you want to take a seat, have a cup of coffee and spend time with them. They were extremely professional but still really grounded and down-to-earth people who you felt comfortable with and to be honest i think that's what you want when you're buying a car. I met the whole team and they all instilled me with confidence which i don't think you always get with a Main Dealer. 'My' salesman was called Ryan who was brilliant, very knowledgeable and helpful and we had a laugh which i thought was great and made me feel comfortable in my purchase. A special thanks also to Chris, their Used Car Sales Manager for all his help in getting the car in tip top condition for when i collected it. Will definitely be returning xx"

    Scam artists wanted £75 per wheel even only one was damaged then tried to get me to splash 200 more on new brake disks that didn't need replacing. They also misdiagnosed the leak saying it was the tri light and rear vent seals even though it was clearly the boot seal Update just discovered repair wasn't even done properly
