WOW what can I say about this hospital? Well first impressions were not very good my son had an operation booked and was told to be here for 12:30 But arrive 11:45 for us be COVID tested. We arrived at 11:36 and reported via phone to reception. A rather friendly chap came out and tested us in the car, we then sat for 50 minutes awaiting the test results. At this point I’m thinking we will be here all day and night. When you think about it tho you release the times we are in and if COVID got into the hospital the. Where would we be? So my initial disappointment was replaced with the understanding the need for the delay. When we got into the hospital we were quickly taken to the hospital room with a big tv on the wall, on suite with a bath and shower, chairs and a table along with the bed and a door into a garden. You know it’s a hospital it felt more hotel kind of feel. The consultant and operating staff came and spoke with us and explained everything perfectly. We knew just what was going to happen and what risks we could expect even tho a very small change of them. The nurses and staff’s attitude and work efficiently was amazing. Checking on my son, before and after the surgery. In my opinion totally above what was expected. While my son was having his surgery I was in his room waiting and I was checked on and even brought tea and biscuits. When my son was brought back from recovery again he was checked on by very attentive staff. They were so friendly, caring and helpful even tho you could hear them working non stop. I have got to say a massive thank you to everyone at this hospital who had any contact with my son and I. WHAT A FANTASTIC AND AMAZING SERVICE BY OUR NHS STAFF

I came to St Hugh's hospital for a total knee replacement on the 29th June 2016. the operation was done by the brilliant Mr Pacheco. what a gentleman and what a surgeon. My stay at the hospital was the best experience of any hospital I have been in and I have had 17 previous operations at various other hospitals. the staff are so kind and dedicated, nothing was too much trouble for them, the en-suite room was like being in a 4 star hotel as was the food. after only 5 weeks I am gearing up to go back to work and that is thanks to everyone at St Hughs Hospital and not forgetting Diane, the physio. she is brilliant. All that is left for me to say is a massive THANK YOU to ALL the staff at this brilliant hospital

Yes it’s a nice clean hospital, yes staff are attentive and yes food is nice, however this is what we should expect as standard, Doctors and Nurse doing what they’re trained to do as standard practice.

Moody and dismissive attitude from the guy who carried out my testicular ultrasound. Certainly not a great hospital from my experience of the place. Maybe they take a different attitude to NHS referred patients?

Polite, pleasant, professional. Perfect. I traveled 45 miles to be treated here for minor surgery, as they were helping alleviate the backlog of other areas. I could not have been more happy with this hospital, and would highly recommend it, should you require treatment.

Two weeks after and my scars are looking great. Absolutely no pain! Also thanks to all the nurses especially to Lisa! 100% recommend to anyone who is considering cosmetic surgery :)

After months of being let down by our local NHS hospital, my husband, on a whim, decided to book me a private appointment. That led to me having ENT surgery at St. Hugh's Hospital. The hospital was excellent! The private room was spotless and looked onto the garden. I was absolutely terrified after having a traumatic experience last year, at our local NHS hospital, but the staff at St. Hugh's were so kind. I stayed overnight and a male nurse, who came in to do my blood pressure in the middle of the night, actually stayed for a few minutes to just talk to me - something so small, but very appreciated at that time. I went in with such low expectations after last year's NHS experience, but I couldn't have been more wrong. Consultant, anaesthetist, nurses and housekeeping staff were all fantastic - kind, efficient, polite. I highly recommend this hospital. Care is excellent!
