After visiting many local salons where the experience was not great, so pleased I finally found Kitui. The salon is beautiful and all of the team are very friendly and welcoming. My stylist, Annabelle, always does a fantastic job cutting and colouring my hair. Been coming here for just over a year and I always leave really happy with the result. Karen was a lovely, helpful, genuinely understanding woman who went out of her way to make me and my daughter feel comfortable during our appointment. I look forward to our next visit and further assistance. On my return the following Tuesday, karen had sourced a beautiful wig for me. Exactly what I wanted. Natural looking. Karen spent time tweaking it for me to my liking. I am more than happy with their service and the wig. Comfortable private surroundings. Today was my first visit to this salon for a cut and colour. All of the staff were so friendly. My stylist Michelle did an amazing transformation with my hair colour and went above my expectations. My haircut was also excellent and I have no hesitation in recommending this salon and Michelle.

I suffer from thinning hair / growth problems and had not visited a hairdresser for a long time as I was so self conscious about it, but my grey was driving me mad! I discovered Kitui when searching for a Sunderland salon that specialises in treatments for people with hair problems and I am so glad I did. Nicola is fantastic. Friendly, knowledgeable and supportive, she put me at ease right away. She explained what could be achieved with my hair and I am delighted with my new colour, and the Olaplex treatment she recommended has it looking better than it has in a long, long time. I loved that Kitui has a private treatment room away from the main salon too, it really gave me the confidence to go to my first appointment. I had my second appointment today but chose to stay in the main salon as I felt totally comfortable, having had such a good experience first time around. Today was my first visit to this utter gem of a salon and I met the fabulous Sylvia tonight and can’t thank her enough. Totally honest and professional, she advised me exactly what I needed to correct the colour and condition of my hair. Her knowledge and approach instilled absolute confidence in me and she explained each step of the correction in detail. I can’t believe how much she achieved in one appointment - I am utterly thrilled. She is an absolute star, incredibly knowledgeable and very friendly. She put me at ease and I’m so delighted that I booked up for my next appointment. The salon is simply stunning too. A real diamond of a place.

From my initial phone call I knew this business was totally professional and customer focused. Lady on phone was fantastic informative and friendly. Arriving for my first appointment was greeted by a lovely bubbly friendly young lady who put me totally at ease whilst washing my hair . Then had my hair restyled by Annabelle. She was friendly professional and did a fabulous job with my hair, so much so I have already booked my next appointment to have my hair coloured. What a great experience would highly recommend.

Totally thrilled with my cut and colour from Caroline this afternoon. She always makes it look so easy to turn my curly hair sleek and I always feel transformed! I was diagnosed with alopecia which made me feel terribly low. I went to see Nicola, she was amazing, friendly, caring, and said she would help. Now I have fabulous hair pieces. Thanks to Nicola, I have a life.

Showed a picture of what I wanted but got a full fringe instead. It was too late once she started cutting. Had to get her to shape it or she would have just left it as it was. Just wanted to leave after that and when I got home found the shaping was uneven on each side had to get a friend to help fix it. Even then it is still not what I was looking for and it's going to take months for it to grow out and I can get it done correctly elsewhere.

Really friendly team, first time going and made me feel completely comfortable. Could not be happier with my hair! Really great quality service and Ellie gave me some really helpful tips for styling at home.

I wanted a re-style, going from layers 10-12 inches long to a layered bob with hair 5-6 inches long. After showing Michelle some pictures of what I had in mind, she gave me a beautiful cut that I really love and which also got me lots of compliments from friends and family. I first went to Nicola at Kitui when a previous hairdresser (at a different salon) had ruined my hair a few weeks before wedding day. Nicola stayed late to have a look at my hair and see what she could do with it and do a patch test. She also worked late again to put my hair right. This was nearly 9 years ago now and have been coming here ever since. Everyone is so friendly and am always made to feel welcome. 😊

Had my hair styled by Michelle today and I must say it was a positive experience. Michelle checked out what I wanted and didn't do just what she wanted although she did advise. My husband is quite impressed too!

First time coming to this place and I am not gonna lie I was a bit nervous but decided I needed a change of area and go out my comfort zone. I've had a fringe put into my hair before when I had a shortbob hairstyle and I didn't like it because the lady that did it before didn't do what I said properly. However having my hair restyled by a lovely lady called Annabel I showed her the picture I wanted and she did exactly that. Again this is my first time being here and I can already tell I'm going to go again once I need to go. Overall happy with the service I got and the pricing of haircut wasn't extortionate either especially the amount of hair I got too off. Anyway overall 8/10 experience and very happy with the outcome. 😊

Just spent a couple of hours having a number of treatments with Emma. Including eyelash and eyebrow tint, back massage and facial. I’ve come out feeling so relaxed as if floating on air. I had my first haircut and colour since having my twins, I feel amazing and should have done it so much sooner. Michelle was amazing as always, she knows exactly what suits me. Fabulous hairdresser! As a new client Michelle was sure to talk about my hair with me, what I have had done previously, how my hair picks up the colour, plenty of things to ensure for the best outcome. Michelle understood me wanting to keep the length in my hair and only took a minuscule amount off in my trim, fantastic! The other team members where lovely too.

I visited Kitui for the first time on 29th August and had my cut and blow done by Michelle. I am SO happy with my hair! Michelle was lovely, I was comfortable and at ease straight away. She spent some time looking at my hair and asking how I wanted it cut. I'm usually terrible at explaining and I hadn't had it cut for 8 months! But Michelle got exactly what I wanted and also advised on how it could be done better for my hair type etc. The salon is gorgeous too, it makes you feel relaxed. I will definately be going back!!

I have been here twice over the last 6 weeks. Caroline gave me a consultation and we arranged my first appointment. She cut my hair to my desired style with input from herself too. It was fabulous, she has excellent customer care skills,as well as doing her job fantastically. I went for a colour today, again this was discussed face to face with Caroline. We decided on a apricot colour with balayage and it has turned out fantastic. The salon is immaculate and pleasant on the eye. The staff are very friendly and Caroline knows how to make you welcome and relaxed. She is a fantastic hairdresser in all aspects of hair care. I will be coming here for my future hair treatments. 🙂🙂
