Went with my 11 year old son for a mini experience day. A great and informative tour then we flew three different birds. Thoroughly enjoyed our experience and vowed to return even before we had left. Lovely surroundings, shame we had to leave ( prior arrangement), saw another group picnic in the field, a nice setting and would of been great. We will stay longer next time!

We opted for the half day experience, and didn't know what to expect going in. The owners were lovely, clearly cared deeply about the welfare of the birds, and had a wealth of knowledge. We learned so much in such a short space of time, and had the opportunity to fly a whole variety of birds as part of the day. We both left having had the most fantastic day. If you're in any doubt about visiting - just do it. We will definitely be back whenever we're in the area.

An amazing place and well worth a visit. The dedication, enthusiasm and care that Mark, Mandy and Anna have for the birds clearly shows. All were very knowledgeable and able to answer any questions. They have a vast collection of birds all with their own unique character and thoroughly enjoyed seeing some of them in flight.

Yesterday we went to Falconry days for my husband 50th birthday and had a fantastic afternoon, we were able to handle an Owl, Buzzard, Red kite, and a kestrel.. OMG so amazing their colours and markings are really beautiful. With Amy guiding us all the time it was really good fun and beautiful to see these amazing birds up close. Thank you so much to Mark and Amy for making us feel welcome and so friendly. We were also able to look at the other birds in their aviaries and wow there were about 90 in total. So we would definitely recommend this to do... Such a brilliant experience xx

Stopped here by chance on our way home from a weekend away. Staff are extremely friendly and very knowledgeable who will give you some fantastic information and facts about the birds they have and birds in general. The birds look in beautiful condition and from what I could tell, very happy. We payed for the Raptor Experience and we were not disappointed. It was a fantastic experience to be so close to birds of prey. Added bonus was the lovely friendly dogs. Thanks for a great day!

A special birthday treat for my wife who has had a lifetime love of Owls. Booked an experience for the two of us at the end of June 2021. Many species of birds of prey but we settled for the 2 hour experience of getting to know, fly and handle 3 species of owls. Plus of course a tour of the enclosures containing the birds and a detailed talk from the handler. Wonderful setting out in the Northumberland moors. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Would thoroughly recommend. A variety of packages available.

Our Daughter loved it. The Owls were great. Especially Grace flying off with the kids letters. We just thought it could have been more festive. When we arrived we were given mulled wine which was nice but cold. Sitting down under the tents we got soaked because the tent roofs were full of condensation that kept dropping onto us. Maybe next Christmas buy some patio heaters and upgrade your cafe. Overall we loved it.

Follow the long but not at all winding road and you come to Falconry Days. Had booked the Mini Falconry Day Experience and enjoyed all of the 90 minutes. Site is well run and all the birds needs met by staff for whom it seems more a way of life that work. Well worth a visit. 👍

This is a fantastic place for a falconry experience and it was well worth doing the full day experience as you get to hold a lot of the birds 😀

Fantastic day out flying the birds. Our host Anna was so enthusiastic and we learnt lots about what and who we were flying. It is a great set up, just remember to take some photos as well!

Well worth a visit anytime of year, very knowledgeable staff who knew the personality of the bird they were showing. They gave the impression that they cared about the welfare of all the birds they had there. Great for kids to see the birds up close to see the beauty of them.

We were on our way home when we saw this sign. So I followed it. Up a long windy, narrow road. Go right too the end. If it looks like there's hardly anyone there. Read the sign in the photos.... My advice? Go forward, don't leave. You won't regret it and you'll learn a lot. The lady who spoke with us ... Over an hour, just the Wife and I, The lady loves her job. ( Especially cuddling the ferrets. ) Definitely.... Go in.... Go... In.

Absolutely worth the money. The handler had a wealth of knowledge and you find out so many interesting facts and tidbits about the birds. The birds are well looked after and they are gorgeous!

We have just returned from a wonderful full day at Falconry Days. We were lucky to visit on a cold quiet day meaning we had the place to our selves and well looked after by the owners. The place is immaculate and the birds are so well looked after by their passionate, caring and knowledgeable owners. I would 100% recommend a visit to anyone and we will be returning again later in the year. Thank you for our fabulous day Becky & Alfie.

My girlfriend and I are visiting Northumberland and decided to have a morning out at Falconry Days. The weather was atrocious but nevertheless Sophie and Anna couldn't have been more welcoming and hospitable. We decided to opt for the Mini Falconry Experience and it was fantastic! We had a tour of all the birds, got 'hands on' with three of their birds of prey and also had a cuddle with some of their ferrets! The experience was conducted by Sophie who was extremely knowledgeable and her enthusiasm was very contagious! It was also great to see how well the birds were looked after! Thanks girls for a brilliant time. We will certainly be back!

We immensely enjoyed our National Park Bird of Prey Experience with Mandy. Not only did we get up close to the birds but we found it very informative with regards to feeding and training the birds. Mandy stayed with us all the time (over 3 hours), apart from 10 minutes when she was giving some TLC to a couple of ill birds.

Northumberlands best kept secret I loved my day here. Stunning views on offer and a massive variety of birds of prey with really good knowledge of each. We were shown the whole system of falconry this is highly recommended. I had visited the centre at kielder and was disappointed. If you have the choice this is the best one in my opinion as the staff take time to explain and show you each type of bird and offer up some good knowledge.

Great quick visit in the winter so we had the place to ourselves...experienced and friendly staff that answered all our questions the flying of the birds was done indoors due to weather but is a great experience having owls and falcons flying and landing on your arm..great place for families...fantastic

I was given an owl experience voucher as a Christmas present in 2019. Due to covid, we were unable to redeem it until December 22nd 2020 - it was well worth the wait! Anna, our expert for this, was brilliant. Very welcoming, excellent knowledge about each bird and very happy to answer our many questions. We got to have a variety of owls land on our arms numerous times, while Anna continued to share her knowledge with us. I believe I'll be getting a voucher for the falconry experience for my birthday and I can't wait!

Fantastic place for the family day out, very close contact with various birds of prey, highly recommended!

  • 5/5 Starlet B. 3 years ago on Google
We went here about 2 months ago and due to covid we were the only to there. Lovely staff, very informative and educational. Wheelchair friendly. They have taken in mistreated birds and all of the birds seem happy and healthy and get flown often. Four friendly dogs and ferrets to see also. It's not the cheapest but worth it as a lot of the money goes into feeding and caring for the birds. In a beautiful area, I would highly recommend a visit.

This is in an isolated but gorgeous part of Northumberland. If you like getting up close to birds of prey, this is for you. A good choice of packages provide different opportunities. Staff very friendly and also very knowledgeable. Worth the trip.

Never really liked birds myself, I purchased a voucher as a christmas gift last year for my husband & went along as a spectator. It was an amazing day, extremely educational by passionate people who love the birds. I'm acctually a fan myself now & already planning next year's visit.

We had a wonderful time! It was a blustery day but we still had a lovely time getting to know all the birds and saw one of the kestrels fly, we were allowed to pet one of the ferrets that are kept for hunting, and learned all about the birds. The woman who showed us around was very friendly and knowledgeable and showed us all the areas, including the indoor coops where the hunting birds are kept, and explained all about the process of keeping them. Would definitely return for a more in depth flying session!

Excellent day out, very knowledgeable people. We flew at least seven birds and went for a walk with Alice the harris hawk. I have no real interest in birds of prey but I am keen on natural history, this experience is a must for everyone and should be on your bucket list. Thank you Dereck and Mandy!!!!!!!

(Translated by Google) We've been here twice now. The way is very long, it is well away from civilization, but pure nature. We have always felt very comfortable here and hope to be able to come back. The people who do this falconry and who take care of and work with the animals are absolutely nice and friendly. We were also able to feel the feather; it is an impressive experience to be able to hold a bird of prey in our arms. You get a lot explained, there is also free coffee and tea. Whoever finds the way up here on Lady Hill, it is definitely worth it! (Original) Wir waren jetzt zwei mal hier.
