Just been down this morning for the first time this year, really looking forward to it. Disappointed that the tackle shop wasn't open, had a walk round to see where I wanted to fish rather than drag my gear around with me, decided on a peg and went to collect my gear, as I passed the notice board I checked prices I knew it wasn't as cheap as others but when I saw they had gone up to £14 I got in my car and left. There is no way on earth I am paying £14 for an average (at best) venue, it feels like it is getting more unfriendly all the time, the constant signs saying 'NO' this and 'NO' that, STRICTLY NO ENTRY, 'Gates locked at 8pm and not open until 7am, don't get locked in'. Carrs you need to remembering who pays, the more people that are put off the less you will take. Oh and like someone else said stop riding the quad around fishing is meant to be peaceful and relaxing.

Great place , friendly people and apart form a few little scruffs who don't clean up after themselves it brilliant , good quality fish as well although not seen anything near the 30lb ones I've heard about but if they are there I may get them one day.

It's not a bad place! There's a decent amount of spots, but i can see it getting quite busy in high season. Pegs are alright, nowt fancy. Very reasonably priced for what it is. There's a couple of toilets on site ( one is being fixed at the moment ) the owner is nice and down to earth. I've enjoyed myself even though I didn't catch anything (other people got a few). There's room for improvement, but for the price it's definitely very good.

My wife and I spent a nice day here on 11/8/22. £14 pounds each for a day ticket. This is a wee bit high compared to other regions but is the norm for the NE. We fished the left hand coarse lake (peg 16). Between us we had a good day with a 9lb carp being the biggest. There is a toilet on site as well as a small tackle shop. The owner and the lad who was in the shop were very pleasant and helpful. The fish were in good condition.

Lovely little fishery, with 4 different ponds/ lakes to fish! Well stocked with plenty of carp and various other species of fish, plenty of secluded pegs, clean toilet and plenty of car parking spaces!

I spent an amazing 5 hours fishing at carrs, lovely mature well stocked lakes with lovely looking and pristine fish, barbless hook rule is working well in taking care of the fish, I had a long conversation with the owners son, obviously someone who knows what he's talking about and a passion for the fishery, keen to help out, no negatives at all I finished the day with 20 carp, 5 in double figures and the biggest a perfect leather of 18lb 8oz, I also caught a load of skimmers, roach and rudd when I had a play with my old Mitchell reel and stalking rod, literally a fish every drop! What an amazing place!

Fished the speciman lake had a 14lb mirror carp out weather was very hot so fishing wasn't the greatest but will be back to have a go for the bigger carp and cats . There is good toilet facilities and there is a kettle so you can make yourself a brew without having to get your gas stove out everyone . Clean well presented fishery would go again.

4 lakes to choose from. Good stock of fish with plenty of variety. Well established. Decent size car park and Toilets on site. Plenty of space and pegs to choose from so everyone isn't on top of each other.

I have been today and i used to do carp fishing with all the expensive gear, all I took was a pole and had 8 carp, 2 big bream and and great looking tench all the carp were in amazing condition never seen carp like it before, I definitely recommend plumbing your line and just hit the bottom, owner is spot on comes around with his quad for collection money and can have a good chat with him, Thanks for the great fishing today !!

Great place to fish we have fished here 3 times and caught more than 3 fish every time. We have only fished lake 2. Some of the fish are large. I like the fact you don't have to book but maybe a on the same day online payment would be good so cash is not required. The shop is also good.

Really good been twice caught loads, shame it wasn't a bit cheaper so I could come more often but I can understand the cost for the upkeep of the ponds, fish and land

What a cracking fishery. I was a bit concerned at the ticket price at first but got more than my money's worth I'm terms of fish caught and general good vibes at the place. Lad that comes around to collect the fees is really friendly and helpful too. If your in the north East and you like to dangle a line give it a visit, you won't be disappointed 😁👍

Really liked that they have a silvers only lake ... NO CARP!!! Plenty space for pole use and fish caught were healthy. Plenty car parking. Tackle shop on site but only open at certain times. Toilet on site. Cons .... pegs could do with upgrade as wood is spongy. Quite expensive compared to other commercials. Might benefit from a reduced cost for using Silver Lake only .. just a thought ...

Slightly more expensive than other fisheries in the north east but it is worth it. It’s an excellent fishery, the fish are in great condition. I fished here twice this year, the first time was the end of August when the weather was hit. Sweetcorn worked well then. Today was much colder sweetcorn wasn’t working so I tried mussel and also prawn in the margins, I was fishing with a pole and power kit, it was way too light for the fish. I should have broken a heavy rod out. Anyway a great day despite the wind. The fish in the net don’t look that big but the net is 2 feet across at the bottom!

Lovely place to fish. Very popular at all times of the year. A large amount of carp of various weights. Swims kept tidy and it has a small shop and toilet on site.

Very friendly place with good facilities like on-site tackle shop and toilets. 4 well stocked lakes with many species for Anglers of all abilities! Added bonus of lovely surroundings full of wildlife.

Nothing wrong with venue but the type of anglers it attracts is a problem. The last two visits have had me sat next to stoners smoking weed all day without caring about catching a fish, a group basically having a party screaming and shouting while launching in a whole loaf of bread in and others who have no idea what they’re doing throwing a feeder a metre away from your float. All this just ruins your day. I get it’s hard to manage who fishes but this doesn’t seem to be as much of a problem at other venues nearby.

Great fishery generally although simply overpriced in my opinion. The slivers lakes is plagued with ide, halcyon you’ll catch nothing but f1s most under a pound. I’m talking 40-60 in a few hours without using big baits. (Not always a bad thing) and there’s some good carp in halcyon if you can get past the f1s. Lake 1 seems alright probably my favourite so far. Been a few times, it’s a solid fishery for a good day out but when places like woodlands and oakfields, Eden grange etc for about £5 cheaper per day session it seems a bit hard to want to go here. Quad bike being rode around the pegs loudly doesn’t do much to sit back and enjoy the fishing… Make sure your cars suspension is maintained too as despite the ridiculous eye watering day ticket price the road into it is absolutely full of deep and wide potholes. Amongst with this the toilets are like something off I’m a celebrity with all the cobwebs and dust etc. Grimey. You’ll catch here, but you’ll pay heavily for it Sort the basics out such as the road, improve the toilets / facilities etc. Maybe even open earlier / stay open later and I’d consider paying the stupidly high fee, otherwise it’s just not worth that much money

We had a great day fishing and didn't catch any big fish around 4lb , The weather was dry so it wasn't muddy today.

1st visit here, after a slow start the fish moved into my swim, 2 personal bests with the barbel, some nice tench, and carp including a 9lb common, which also had a 4 lb common in the net, strange things happen, can't work out how it got there, maybe it followed the 9lb fish in the net? Well looked after fishery, and no litter on the pegs, highly recommended! 🙂

Fished here once so far in the middle of November. The lakes look superb! The fishing was thought but that was due to the time of year. Deffo has potential to be a great fishery in the summer months, will definitely be going back!!

Phoned up to enquire about my stepson fishing the day as he is only 6 and massively into fishing. Was greeted on the telephone by a man who told me it was 8 pound each. I said politely no it will him only fishing I'll be stood by him as he has to be with a adult. To that end was then told the bailiff will "only charge me a couple of quid". I then asked what for? Then was told for being there, its not a park! Absolutely hurrendous. Greedy. Over priced.and pretty bang average fishing. And the prices they charge are hurrendous. Won't ever be visiting this venue again. People are totally correct as of what gets said about this place. 👍

Well looked after fish and waters, the tree's and weeds need trimming back though. The fishery does fish well but the day ticket prices are too high for such a limited amount of pegs. The entry road to the fishery is in quite bad disrepair with very large potholes that have filled poorly. The entry to the fishery certainly doesn't seem as if the high day ticket prices are being used where it needs to be and when approached about the prices they just say "it's to keep the idiots out". Very unlikely I will use this fishery often at all and won't be referring friends to use it either
