Best doughnuts and great coffee. Usually has vegan options. Their doughnuts themselves are not too sweet which pairs well with the toppings/icing. My favorite so far is the vegan biscoff doughnut with ferrero rocher almond milk latte.

Amazing donuts, although I'm sure that they must lace them with crack because I'm totally addicted. The coffee is gorgeous too. I love the look of the place, the music is brilliant, the staff are lovely and polite. I can't wait till I can sit in here; listen to rock music and drink great coffee, all while eating incredible donuts and brownies!

Very small but very busy due to the excellent doughnuts. Coffee was fine and all the doughnut I gobbled went down a treat. Free on street parking and the lady serving was very helpful and kind. Would come back when I'm in the area. Cheers.

I'm not a fan of the run of the mill glazed and coated doughnuts from Krispy Kreme etc. Make no mistake, the donughts at R Place are not like any doughnuts I've had before. They are fantastic! The selection is great, we got a box of 6 and each was a taste sensation.

Awesome squidgy brownies. Doughnits with more sweets on them than rowntrees factory. Unicorn shortbread, very sweet but heavenly moreish and 2 lovely ladies serving. Fks, have a try. Just think 6 weeks hols, buy a box n bribe the kids for much deserved silence.

I don’t visit often as it’s a bit out the way for me, but when I do my GOD I wish I lived closer. The donuts are amazing and fresh, even the flavours that you could never imagine for a donut they just make absolutely amazingly (my fav being the duck and pancake donut!). Staff are always friendly and the shop has such a cool vibe.

The best donuts around. Will happily travel to get a box of these and the staff are both so friendly. Such a gorgeous shop and lovely vibe with regular delicious flavours. Highly recommended the French toast cookies.

Em & Rae provided their delicious donuts for our wedding and they were incredible! All the guests loved them and they looked/tasted immense! My partner and I go to RPlace regularly and love it each and every time! Ray and Emily are so welcoming and it is always a joy to go into the shop. The savoury and sweet foods are always delicious and the coffee is to die for!

Coffee is really nice, doughnuts and brownies TO DIE FOR. Everything is so fresh when I went back in the afternoon to get more brownies, and believe me you'll want to go back for more the doughnuts were still warm when they were being served. A wonderful addition to North shields and its run by top class people. Great customer service and it's dog friendly so you can even pop in with the pooches when you're out for a walk.

Went today after a trip for some fish at the fish quay. Found them on social media and wow. The wife and I split 3 sweet treats. 2 donuts and a piece of brownie: easy the best donuts I’ve ever had. Well worth the visit from the other side of Gateshead. People need to make the most of small establishments like this or we lose them. Fancy a nice coffee and a donut? Forget the chain places and have a mooch over to this gaff. Lovely

This place is lovely, managed to park directly outside. First visit today donut was amazing ! Tried a sausage roll and it was delightful. Cappuccino was lovely, with locally sourced coffee beans. 100% recommended and I'll be back.

I came up from London to see some friends and the first morning they took me to R Place. The Wagon Wheel Hot Chocolate and the Breakfast Muffin (forget about the McDonald’s breakfast muffin) 10/10, the vibe is alternative, and super friendly, they have a wide range of flavours for their beverages and pastries, as well as offer some really cool designs on their reusable cups. I just wish there was an R Place in London.

This is my favourite place in North Shields. The coffee and food are amazing and the two ladies who run it are so warm and welcoming. Highly recommend! Also their wagon wheel syrup is out of this world!

Friendly staff, tasty treats and a welcome addition to Monkseaton. Be aware that due to the popularity they do sell out throughout the day, but that just makes choosing a treat easier.

Sadly disappointed - bought 6 donuts as a treat but unfortunately didn’t enjoy them at all. They don’t taste like donuts not soft and squidgy like you would expect, very difficult to eat, after 24 hours they also seemed stale. This place has the potential to be amazing but they need to sort out the donut recipe ☹️

Disappointed ordered Christmas Eve donuts, was told to message for a safe space if we weren't going to be in, I did but to this day the message still hasn't been read, I emailed to say what happened unfortunately they left my donuts in the wrong place but if they had took the time to read my message they would have seen that I asked for them to be left in my outside cupboard and not in my porch where the postman thought was his Christmas treat! Expensive mistake and when I emailed again they didn't read my email properly and didn't get a response. Can't review on products as never tried them.

If I could give them more stars I would. I've never been a big fan of donuts and would almost never buy myself one. That's changed since coming to R Place. The donuts are amazing. They're fluffy and not crazy sweet and the toppings they come up with are inventive and delicious. I just had a cinnamon roll donut that absolutely blew my mind. The coffee is good as well- I've only tried the iced lattes, but they're always great and they have a good selection of syrups. Lastly, the staff is so kind and inviting. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone who wants a sweet treat.
