Beautiful classy venue with amazing rooms that are for hire. Friendly staff such as Becky and Jack will make your visit worthwhile.

We recently had our "Lockdown" wedding at Tapton Hall, Becky and the team were amazing not just on the day but equally, on the run up to. Keeping us well informed and doing all they could to make the process as stress free for us as possible. The venue was COVID safe, well managed and everything ran smoothly. The day was everything we could have hoped for and more. We have had nothing but complements from our guests about the venue, food and organization. Becky we will never be able to thank you enough, for helping to make our 2020 wedding happen.

Wonderful building and excellent service and food

Some of the meals could have been warmer but overall a good choice of food. The waiters were rather quick at getting payment for our drinks, they approached us while we were eating. All staff were very nice, very helpful. I would go back.

We had our wedding at Tapton Hall on Saturday 26th March 2022 and I cannot recommend this venue and the staff enough. The wedding coordinator, Becki, was a pleasure to work with. She was always available to answer any questions we had or offer any advice. We were originally supposed to get married in 2020, but the pandemic meant we had to delay the wedding. She was always easy to get hold of and was happy to let us take the lead on how far we wanted to postpone. The day itself went perfectly and was better than we could have ever imagined. The food was absolutely delicious and so many people commented on how nice it was. With some guests even commenting it was the best meal they had ever had a wedding! All the bar staff and waiters/waitresses that were working during our wedding were all so friendly and polite and really cannot do enough for you. It was an absolute pleasure to get married at Tapton Hall and I would strongly recommend choosing this venue for any event you may be planning.

I don't even know where to start... Me and my husband Tom got married and had our reception at Tapton Hall last month, and oh my goodness, we cannot praise and thank the Tapton team enough for everything they have done for us. From the moment we met with them more than a year ago to discuss things, we knew we were on to an absolute winner!!! You can put ALL of your trust in Tapton, they will never ever let you down. It's a joy to deal with the team, and special mention must go to Becki, their wedding coordinator, who has been amazing to deal with. It's so relaxing to speak to Becki and Tapton because you know you don't have to worry about ANYTHING, they always have a smile on their face and are happy to help with anything. They are so so accommodating. No matter what we have thrown at Becki, she's been totally up for making our dream wedding a reality. The way that it all came together on the day was mindblowing. The food was incredible, and praised by all of our guests, the DJ was fab, and what a stunning venue for the ceremony itself! Becki and the team went completely above and beyond to help us, we cannot thank them enough!! If you get married here, you will have an AMAZING day!! We consider ourselves quite cautious people, so the fact that we say it was amazing and that we put 100% of our trust into them, shows how outstanding their support was. Please consider getting married here! It will be the best decision you make!

Tapton Hall has a mix of victorian and 60s architecture. It is the principle masonic lodge for Sheffield but I believe it is also available for weddings and events.

The second time I booked for afternoon tea the experience was very poor. I requested gluten and lactose free food which was excellent on the first visit. I was told it was difficult for THE CHEF. They gave me salad sandwiches and a jam tart amongst some very poor white bread without any spread. I will not book again if their chef has difficulty providing basic food which any decent cafe or restaurant can provide for my dietary requirements. My guests were embarrassed by my poor food too.

Large venue (actually an old masonic hall), plenty of parking and well organised. Had my son's wedding reception here and everything ran very smoothly. Food was good and well presented. The main halls are upstairs. These are pleasantly decorated. Staff knew what they were doing and if there were any problems they dealt with them without getting in the way of the occasion.

Food is excellent. Sunday dinners, afternoon tea and fish and chips. Excellent service and a great place for family celebrations. Remember to call and book.

Fantastic food and wonderful surroundings

Very grand place! We went for a party for International Older People's Day! We had sandwiches and scones. Plus the entertainment was good. We even met the current Master Cutler!

The building is amazing, it's a very welcoming place with massive free carpark. It has got many rooms that are suitable for any kind of congregation. Talk to Becky, who has got the kindest personality. she'll help to tailor your event to fit your budget and to please you and your guests. Food is nice and staff in general are very helpful and kind.

Wonderful polite happy helpful staff. Spacious beautifully dressed and well kept party room. Clean spacious well stocked toilets and cloak room. Lovely bar area with lots of well spaced seating if you want to break out from the party room to chat.

Afternoon tea was disappointing and they need to get a better recipe for scones! The room was very nice but the view out of the window is awful car park, pile of chain fencing and mobile phone mast to look at, such a shame it could be made very nice. I would rather go to our small coffee shop!

I got married at Tapton hall on the 24th September and it was a brilliant day. We had so many comments on the food being delicious by our guests & the wedding organiser Becki is a lovely woman. However I do feel the place is understaffed, on our wedding day both me and my husband were asked directions by the public to different events happening within the hall as there were no staff downstairs to direct people. Me and my husband was also under the impression the hall would be accommodating our wedding only that day and we were disappointed when we learned this wasn’t the case. Following up to the wedding I found myself sending several chaser emails for responses but again I feel a lot of responsibility is rested on one persons shoulders. Other than that the day itself was fantastic, the drinks were reasonably priced, the food was 10/10 & all our guests had a fab time xx

Visited Tapton hall at different times for both jive dancing & funeral wake, nice place for both occasions, staff friendly, efficient on dance nights & sympathetic & considerate at the wake. Plenty of free parking bar prices competitive

Large venue in beautiful surroundings

You won't find better value for money anywhere else. Excellent, food, disco and a quiz. There is a warmth from the staff as you feel so well looked after. Only criticism = the quiz would be better between dinner and disco to give your tummy a rest😊. The atmosphere at midnight is 2nd to none

A fantastic day here celebrating my son and now daughter in laws weeding. The whole day was organised to perfection, Beautiful room decoration, delicious food at both the wedding breakfast and evening reception. A great choice of venue as there is plenty of room to relax if you want to move away from the main room. The team worked tirelessly to make the day special. I would strongly recommend using Tapton Hall for that special day or occasion

Called at a craft fair which was nice, just a few stalls. Lovely building had a bar where you could buy a selection of alcoholic/non alcoholic and hot drinks

We enjoyed a great meal on sunday,the meal was excellent and the service was great, the staff were very friendly and helpful.

The owner was not only incredibly rude with us, but we saw she was also rude with her staff and yelled at several of them when it was completely unnecessary. I feel sorry for the people who work there. If that wasn't bad enough, the food was also not worth the money at all, I could've easily cooked something better at home.

Good good, brilliant staff

We had our wedding in Tapton Hall (25.10 19) from start to finish everything was organised by Becki and the staff to make our day just perfect. The food was amazing, my wife is gluten free celiac and this was catered for including other family and friends who are either vegetarian, vegans and diary intolerant, there was something for everyone's needs. We had our ceromony on the open area of the landing and the room next to it, both areas were beautifully decorated to set the scene for our day . Becki looked after everything , decor, food , flowers, ballons, timings and a cost that was very good. All in all it was just perfect day for us and we like to thank Becki and staff for their hard work on the day at Tapton Hall. We would highly recommend this venue , thank you

Attended this evening for a 50th Birthday party, on first impressions the building is set in lovely surroundings, it is a little dated on the inside and has limited options at the bar, but the event was well set out and the staff were friendly. We were in the Hallam suite which is some distance from the ladies toilets, we were most upset and quite bemused to be asked to be quiet at 10pm by a lady who met us at the toilet door when we were coming out, she was quite rude and informed us that there were “other events” going on in what appeared to be the dark deserted area around the ladies toilet, we now understand that these events were ghost hunts!!! Not exactly the perfect combination for a 50th birthday party and a meeting of the Free masons. When booking a room for a function you should not be expected to walk to and from the toilet in silence so as to not disturb a seance!!!

It is a very nice place . Clean nice bar and great dance floors to dance on.

The party room and food were great but the loos needed maintenance. Of the four sinks in the men's, two were out of service, and one urinal was blocked. In the ladies, one of the door locks didn't work. The maintenance manager needs to get their act together!

What a treat! We had a lovely evening at Tapton Hall, taking advantage of the 50% off the new menu. We could not fault a thing. We had 3 courses, all of which were delicious! Everything cooked to perfection! Lovely atmosphere, great service and amazing food! An enjoyable evening!
