Paid for click and collect, had to wait 2 hours for pick up, then had to arrange a time, turned up on time and pressed bell for click and collect assistance. Nobody even batted an eyelid. Had to wait for 15 minutes then join a queue full of people to receive an item that someone had already opened and returned despite the same item being readily available on the shelves. Won't use wickes again

Wickes store Wrexham very helpful staff when we went to look in store got what we needed and had a delivery slot a couple of days later the delivery man was very nice nothing was too much trouble for him lovely service from both store to delivery 👍👍

Had some timber delivered from store, was bent, twisted and damaged. Contact to exchange, no response. In the end contacted wickes centrally to return/refund, the store were supposed to contact to arrange, still waiting week or so later. Not once has store been in contact.

Helpful people, great store. However, at the Wrexham branch the speed bumps in the carpark are recently new, too high and damaged my car this morning. Trip to to garage needed tomorrow :-(

Young lad was really helpful with getting a long bit of wood in the car - even cut a bit off for us. Very pleased with the customer service and the staff were very friendly. His name was Kai!

Ordered a pedestal fan through click and collect. Picked it up this morning and the box was in a bad way, clearly been bought by another customer and returned, and just taped back up. Items inside were not packaged properly, no card/plastic cover on the plug, scratches on the fan blades, and the pipe was bent and jammed. Clearly nobody had checked the fan over to make sure it worked when it had been returned previously before reselling it. Drove back to Wickes to return and I wasn’t even asked what the reason was so I’m obviously not the first person to do it. I won’t be using this company again.

Went in to buy steps seen on line. Great product for £25. Also enquired regarding outside doors. Not stocked in store but according to very helpful lady on till, these can be purchased on line through Wickes. We appreciated her advice very much and will be taking it further. She's an asset to the company. Something you don't get often these days. We were well impressed.

Usually have what I need , but like everywhere else prices seem to be rising.

I had a problem with some fence wood stain that I ordered online, one tub was perfect. When I came to open another tub some time later I found that it was just green water. I had a very mixed response to an online request for help. I decided to phone my nearest Wickes store about 40 miles away and spoke with Chloe who offered to give me a new tub of stain without any quibble. She put a tub aside for me to pick up. Excellent service. Staff like Chloe are invaluable!

When I visited the Wrexham store recently, I needed a bit of help finding a solution for some guttering I needed. The first person who came to help me (I didn't catch their name) was pleasant and polite, and when they weren't quite sure of a solution they asked someone else to help. This person was called Andy. I explained the situation to Andy who was incredibly helpful. Aside from helping identify a solution, the best part of the experience was the first person, and Andy, both spoke directly to me. As a woman, my experiences continually end up that I am speaking and explaining something and the person I'm explaining it to (especially if it's DIY or car related) speaks to my male partner (who then directs back to me). My experience at Wickes in Wrexham was not like that at all and it was SO GOOD. Andy spoke directly to me, maintained eye contact, and never once tried to answer my question to my partner. It was a revelation. It properly made my day. Ladies, if you want an experience where someone actually acknowledges you and speaks to you when you speak, get to Wickes in Wrexham.
