Instead if using a big brand, we decided to use O’Neill’s as we wanted to support a small business when we needed wallpapers. I had one wallpaper roll left which I went to return (I knew they wouldn’t give a refund but I wanted pick to something from the store up) but they said that it was they wouldn’t accept it as it was bought 22 days ago which was ONE DAY over their 21 days exchange policy. Ridiculous, no common sense used and no flexibility. I couldn’t be bothered arguing over returning one roll of wallpaper but I will not bother using a small business again and I’ll just continue using bigger brands which use common sense, offer better customer care, better return policy and offer the same range.

Been looking for kitchen wallpaper for weeks , whilst in store a lady called Sharon asked if we needed help - what a relief to have someone spend time with you listening to what you were looking for and giving helpful advice. We came away delighted with the service and the product - thanks Sharon.

Clean premises with friendly helpful staff who know their products. Large free car park.

Excellent shop excellent choice. Lady who works their very helpful and answers all you questions and give great advice and tips. We went for bathroom paper it looks brilliant. We then returned for papers for bedrooms again brilliant. Be back soon for rest of the house. Wouldn’t go anywhere else

Rude, abusive and manipulative customer service. Unless you’re 100% sure what you’re getting is correct and you don’t ever want to return anything, I would recommend going somewhere with better service and clear policies. Don’t ever get your paint mixed here - the machine is outdated and you probably won’t get the colour you chose and will be denied a refund too. See photos for proof of their mixed paint vs the real Johnstones mixed paint which have different colour codes (had to go to the official store to make sure it wasn’t just me) - apparently it’s the customer’s fault for their machine being wrong too. I asked for a specific colour to be mixed and when I got home the colour was not what it should have been. I was already skeptical at the store but the lady said it would “dry differently on the wall”. Called them to ask if they had a return policy that I could get a refund if the paint wasn’t the colour it should have been, they said yes - if they had just said no I would’ve left it and cut my losses. Drove all the way back to the store and asked for a refund, Chris and the blue-haired lady started getting extremely defensive saying that they don’t have a return policy, I couldn’t get a refund because the colour was what it was on their “system” (which was outdated/wrong). Basically called me a liar and said I’ve gone back and said I didn’t like it when it wasn’t even the one I requested in the first place (had the official Johnstone’s colour chart with me too to show them). Sent an email to their “head office” since Chris couldn’t be bothered to do it, but no response and am not expecting one. Most likely just a copy and paste response to this review. Not surprised both times I visited it was empty with zero customers. Update: surprisingly they did email back but with no apology or offer to refund/compensate and, unsurprisingly, failing to take responsibility. As for their question in response to my review, I purchased it at an official Johnstone's decorating centre so it is definitely accurate.

Visit O'Neill's everytime we are decorating, staff are approachable and know the customer's needs. Sharon at farnworth spent time with us today and threw in her ideas as well as ours and come up with what will soon be out newly decorated room. 👍

Avoid this place. Me and my mum Came here looking for paper for 4 bedrooms. Rude staff who wouldn’t give me a sample unless I paid £1. I said I can pay that on my card but I’ve no change to which they said no. No sample no sale. Unlucky for them I went else where and spent almost £700. Unlucky

My elderly/ disabled nan and grandad have spent £200 in store and wanted to exchange some paint as they had some left over from decorating and now decorating elsewhere been told they can’t even exchange it as it’s over 28 days, any highly reputable businesses would have allowed an exchange. absolutely disgusting as they’ve always shopped here for any decorating item.

Great choice very friendly staff that left us to look around the moment we asked for help we got it without being pushy we pick wallpaper and paint they asked do you get alot of daylight in the room she then showed us the paper withe the paint on a board near the door with alot more light. So glad she did in the light it was totally the wrong colour she stayed with us doing the same until we was happy with the match friendly, polite and not in your face trying to sell great service Thankyou 10/10 The finished job looks really good I can't rush these jobs anymore but enen if I say so myself it's a good job but this helps having good wallpaper to work with so yet again many thanks and the next room needs to be done very soon and there's only one place I'm going to.

These people really know about wallpaper and they have a large selection give them a try you will not be disappointed

This has to have been the best experience in choosing wallpaper I have ever had,the staff went above and beyond with their tips on colour,paint etc. I will never go anywhere else for decorating equipment and will be recommending this store to friends and family.

Absolutely 100% recommended. I have been twice now and Sharon was just amazing both times, just the kind of customer service and a friendly face I needed. She was so helpful and I will definitely be back when completing the rest of the house. Julie was with Sharon the second time and again, such a friendly and warm welcome! Extremely helpful assistants, colour matched our paint perfectly to our chosen wall coverings. They have a really extensive choice of coverings, so many to chose from. They really took their time with us to make sure everything was a perfect match. We wouldn't go anywhere else

Would go to B&Q Next time as the returns policy on unused rolls is a credit note and only valid for 12mths 😡 was told about the credit note but not that it had a time limit of 12mths. At least B&Q give full refund

Good range of Wallpapers and home furnishings and accessories. Pleasant staff. Ample parking. The only negative part is that some Wallpaper samples are chargeable and unopened rolls can be returned but for a credit note instead of money

I have always shopped at O’Neills when in need of wallpaper and I never come away empty handed. Great variety of papers plus very helpful happy staff. So happy that one lady member of staff sings along to the music. Good voice too ! One of the papers I chose was low on stock but it was no problem to the staff they contacted another branch and the wallpaper was transferred to the Moses Gate store the same day. Well done ladies!

The best wallpaper ship I've been in.. loads of choice, quality choices. Had to go away soak it up and go back.. Sharon in the shop is brilliant, she helped and knew the styles we were saying to her took us to what we wanted polite nice atmosphere.. we brought a beautiful design. Was really pleased with wall paper and paint we got for our hall so came back for paper for our home office. Great range of choice - the colour is great-and helpful staff. Really pleased with our smart new office. Plenty of Zoom envy now!

I called in whilst passing, I am so happy that I did. I found some wonderful and unusual wallpaper designs. And some stunning Versace papers. The lady in store was a pleasure to speak with and very helpful. I will definitely be back there very soon,. The only problem will be deciding which designs I like the most.
