The only place I'd buy reptiles from! I did my work experience at snakes n adders when it was is Leeds back in 2006 and I saw how chaz looks after his animals..... They are all cared for at the highest standard and he has a true passion for reptiles and reptile husbandry. I wanted a royal python and traveled 40 miles and back last year to snakes n adders because I knew I would be getting a quality well cared for animal! My son wants a leopard gecko so it looks like I have another journey to make soon 👍🏼

Popped in as I had heard good things and was near by. The health and wellbeing of the animals was amazing. Chaz and his team clearly put in loads of work and care and in fact Chaz was proving this when we arrived with his help for someone's setup that had come for assistance. If you haven't visited then I recommend it and supporting this shop is definitely supporting your hobby.

I absolutely can not recommend these guys enough! I’ve been in the shop on multiple occasions enquiring about a leopard gecko and set up. I have spoken to Chaz, Pixie and Rebecca and they were all super patient and fantastic! They made me feel so confident and didn’t give me the impression that they were ever annoyed about the 101 questions I asked. The little one is settling in well and enjoying exploring his new home. I have been following Snakes N Adders on Facebook for a while and was keen to visit the shop despite it being a good few hours drive away. We combined the journey with some other shops but this was definitely one of our favourite places on the trip. The shop is way smaller than I expected but they definitely pack things in and they have some impressive animals in some equally impressive enclosures. The animals are clearly well looked after and they all had clean homes with clean water dishes. Our dog was welcomed too. The woman working was great, really friendly and knowledgeable and probably best of all, in no way pushy when it came to sales. If I lived closer I would definitely be a regular and if you are looking for a reptile, or just some advice, then you should definitely pay Snakes N Adders a visit.

Been wanting to make the trip up for a long while now and definitely wasn’t disappointed. Such an incredible range of animals and products, everything you could ever need. Both Chaz and Pixie were extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I will definitely be making the trip up again soon. Highly recommended and well worth a visit.

Absolutely fantastic place. Me and my fiance travelled down from Newcastle to see the amazing animals that were in stock. Staff were welcoming and friendly and couldn't do enough for us. It was definitely worth the trip and I would recommend it to anyone.

Best shop around. Chaz's knowledge and enthusiasm is unrivalled. He is brilliant with the kids who visit the shop and gives them so much of his time and attention. The livestock is probably the largest and most diverse and reasonably priced around. Now that he has added Becky and Pixie to the team he has brought a great customer service element to his business.They are so helpful and can't do enough. I definitely recommend paying them a visit.

I’ve been looking for a Hog Island Boa for months, and I went to Snakes N Adders today on the off chance they had some in. After having a look around Pixie asked if there was anything in particular I was looking for and when I told her she said she had some baby’s in the back! Pixie was so helpful and knew the answers to every question I asked about the snakes history ect so I purchased a stunning female, can’t wait to pick her up in October! Would 100% recommend these guys and their extremely diverse stock lists.

Fab little shop, great stock, some absolutely gorgeous animals inside! Fab to be able to buy mice for my snake in various quantities depending on how full my freezer is hahaha!

Great shop really helpful and friendly staff. They were really helpful answering all the questions we had and making sure we had the correct equipment before allowing us to purchase our geckos. Can't recommend them enough.

Wow!!! What a brilliant shop. We attended the IHS expo and saw this shop was near. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted with a warm friendly smile and a wave. The shop is like a reptile lovers TARDIS. Chaz and his team have done such a brilliant job. They are all very knowledgeable and so down to each when explaining something to a newbie, or even a veteran reptile keeper. If your near by, just pop in. You might even get a cuppa.

Although it is not my local reptile shop it is worth visiting from time to time. Bought 2 snakes so far from them and each time the service was great. The staff are polite and welcoming and will answer any questions you have. The best thing I like about snakes n adders is the variety of reptiles in stock, so many cool species. Highly recommend giving then a visit :)

Absolutely amazing. The care these people have for the animals really shows. I would always recommend people to go here for any exotic pet needs purely because their best interest is not with making money but with making sure that the animal gets the care it deserves. So many more pet stores could benefit from this.

I cannot praise them enough - was lucky enough to be in at feeding time after promising myself for months that I would go take a trip to look at the stars I'd seen on their Facebook, and the depth and breadth of knowledge the lass feeding them had about every single snake's individual wants and needs was just wonderful, and you can see it reflected in the absolute top condition of the snakes. The babies being in the back and not being stressed out in the shop was awesome as well. The owner Chaz was super busy, but figured out that I was going wrong with humidity with his magical snake charmer instinct/decades of study and hard work within a few seconds. If I do get another snake I'll definitely go to them, but for now I'll use them for my snake related spending - the selection they have is amazing, what's not on the website is the full range of lights, heating equipment vivarium (cheaper than internet flatpacked) and so on. Also if someone could buy that gorgeous Black Headed Python for me then that would be grand!

What a fabulous shop!! Super friendly and hugely knowledge; Pixie, Becky and Chas really looked after us and helped us choose the right snake [a normal corn snake now named Venom!] As complete noobs we needed all the help we could get and the Snakes N Adders team were AWESOME!!! My lad is 9 and they made him feel right at home, showing him how to hold the snakes and how to look after them. If you're looking for a place to buy a snake or other exotic, look no further. We checked out a bunch of stores and this was the absolute best by far!

Great shop. Lots of choice. Knowledgeable, friendly staff. Parking isn't brill but you can park further down the main road and walk up. Well worth a visit.

We called in to Snakes & Adders today as we wanted information about tortoises. Pixie was very helpful & extremely knowledgeable. She told us everything we needed to know about tortoises but we didn't feel pushed into buying. Pixie spent a lot of time letting us view the tortoises they had & we brought one home with us! I have used Snakes N Adders many times and would always recommend. All staff are extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Visited this business on wed 20/7. Regarding spider viewing. Outstanding visit from start to finish super clean very well looked after and cared for little creatures and pixies knowledge of arachnids and reptiles second to none.The best we have ever visited she was kind reassuring and very understanding of our needs.would recommend this place to anyone.superb in all aspects.

Just picked up a lovely malagasy giant hognose from them, she eats like a champ and looks amazing. Visiting the shop with an appointment works great and you get to talk to them properly and get all the information you need. Would definitely recommend SNA. Plus they have great varied stock

After not being able to go to the IHS show the previous week we were a little gutted about not being able to kick start our crestie collection after years out of the hobby. I saw an add on Morph Market for a stunning Lily white male. Even though we only live 15 minutes down the road we've never been in to snakes n adders but after seeing the add I had to pop in to take a look. Can honestly say I was not disappointed,such an abundance of knowledge, friendly staff and a very pleasant transaction we will definitely be back soon!

Great shop and excellent staff. Visited the shop today to get my daughter her first tortoise, the shop had everything we need and more. The member of staff who looked after us “chaz”couldn’t do enough to help. He spoke to my daughter as it was her pet and made sure she knew everything she needed to know to look at it. Overall a great experience and we’ll definitely be back.

Great experience in Sheffield! Popped in as I was passing through the region. There were soo many exciting species, packed into the shop, it was a little overwhelming. Highlights for me included Diamond python, Western Stimsons and even a Boelens python! Visited the shop last week. Considering the shop sponsors bhs events it was worrying to note that coil uvb used for beardies, caimen lizard inappropriately housed, GTPS in invert enclosures and inappropriate substrate in many of the enclosures plus many other husbandry issues not mentioned.
