Saltergate Multi-Storey Car Park

Parking garage

πŸ‘πŸ‘ When we pulled up to this multistorey car park, it looked like it was closed! But really it's just a very secure car park where the shutters are down until you press for a ticket. Then they open and you can go in. There aren't any signs to say this and it's the first I've ever seen. When you leave,... People often mention secure, park, parking, spaces, carpark,

When we pulled up to this multistorey car park, it looked like it was closed! But really it's just a very secure car park where the shutters are down until you press for a ticket. Then they open and you can go in. There aren't any signs to say this and it's the first I've ever seen. When you leave, ensure you take your ticket with you as it has a code on the back to open the door to get you back into the car park. Good location and great that it's so secure.

Secure parking with code entry and shutters. Decent price for parking. A stone's throw from Premier Inn in the city centre

Easy to find, 6.00 for all day parking which I think is very reasonable for a city. Clean, large spaces and 4 min walk to centre

lots of parking available, relatively large parking spaces, not badly priced to say it is in a city centre (Β£6.50 for over 5 hours).

I always park in here whenever I visit Chesterfield. It's secure and well lit. It was only built a few years ago to replace another multistorey carpark in its place. This one is larger, more secure and better lit. It's also a lot more cleaner.

Lovely clean safe parking in Chesterfield centre Not sure if post lockdown initiative to get town shoppers back but was free when I went last 2 weeks which encouraged me to stay longer to shop and lunch in town😁

Nicely newish made car park, decent sized spaces and a fair price. Enter via a drop down bar which then opens the door for you to enter the carpark. Pay on entrance on your way back into the carpark via card or cash. The only niggly thing about it is the zebra crossings inside the carpark.... They start on the end car space and finish on the car space opposite ( basically if you walk in the crossing, you will walk straight into a car parked in a space)

Nice and secure carpark BUT just two major problems, firstly if you even need help on the intercom and you get through to a gentleman called Dave? Then God bless you... only he can make carol beer looks like the most helpful person on earth... Secondly the EV charging is very hit and miss

This car park has been reopened after being demolished and rebuilt. It's now a very clean and modern car park!

First time in here.. I like it's secure.. ish I don't like the fact it's a faff to get back in to the carpark.. number on ticket wouldn't work. Had to use the number of the next person in the queue.

Clean, spacious, secure. I was a bit confused by the shutters as I thought it was closed but the shutters open when you grab a ticket.

New and relatively clean carpark, barriers on entry and exit which reduce unwanted attention to your car. Slightly expensive when compared to the open carparks close by, but near to the shopping precinct.

I was shocked to see that a place to park cars that you have have to pay for had cars in it. then I realised the ravenside must be full . but very secure parking big bays even the mrs can reverse into a space..

Being a local resident i am forced to regularly drive past this carbuncle. It seems to have been designed by the same architect who did the Gdansk shipyard. Presumably his fee was cheap.

Although I can't speak for every car parking level, I can say that level 6 STINKS awful... I know we never see the morons who like to pee and leave it for the rest of us to smell at our leisure, but don't the council provide the cleaning staff with disinfectant?? PLEASE CAN SOMETHING BE DONE ABOUT THIS

Not in keeping with the town. Giant leggo structure. Horrible.

  • 5/5 Ros P. 3 years ago on Google
Excellent security. Brilliant width for spaces, which means you can get out of your car without worrying about hitting adjoining cars. Easy to navigate, easy to pay
