I must have called Adam up at least 4 times to get his advice on how to set up a longboard that I was "hoping" to buy for my daughter—probably dumb questions such as will it take my weight if I jumped on it, are the wheels large enough for what my daughter wants to do, to what type of bolts and length of bolts I should choose! Adam's advice on choice of components, maintenance and setup, were spot on. His knowledge and clear enthusiasm for skateboarding gave me the confidence to buy from Vandem. The Vandem website also has superb in-depth information for newbies like me. Even though the deck my daughter wanted had sold out—I purchased elsewhere to get in time for Christmas—I didn't consider buying the other components from anywhere else. Vandem's pricing was competitive and more importantly the service and advice was second to none. Adam offered to put together the bearings, wheels and truck so it was one less thing for me to worry about (which I took him up on). He even phoned me the day before (Friday late afternoon) to keep me informed that delivery should arrive on Monday. As it turned out, it arrived the next morning! Everything well packaged and included free washers that are not normally part of the components but Adam advised would protect the deck—it would have been how he would set up the board if it was his. Vandem will be my default for anything Skateboard and longboard related. Great service and cannot recommended highly enough.

Excellent company, ordered my Lush Freebyrd Elite complete board and had it delivered the next day, great advise from the guys at the shop, fantastic customer service. The board and some other bits arrived very well packaged, no plastics in the packaging and the invoice included a nice hand written note. The board itself is nothing short of beautiful and it rides so nicely, everything about it is top top quality. I am a returning boarder after lots of years but it felt like I have been riding it forever, that's down to the guys at the shop helping me with my choice. I will definitely use Vandem again, in fact I don't think I'll go anywhere else. Thanks again guys and keep up the excellent work.

My partner gave me a lush nomad for Christmas. Excellent customer service throughout - I’ve panic ordered protection since. Free softer bushings mean I’m carving between the children all over the skate park easily and with little experience. Happy new year!

Have a few Lush Longboards (Kilima's) in the family so when I heard my young nephew was looking to get into skateboarding it was an easy decision on which brand to go for. Vandem Longboard Shop have good stock, were great in changing out the bushings to softer ones, good communication by email and the delivery went really fast. Really recommend these guys. Buying quality can cost a bit more than cheaper boards that can be found elsewhere online but its worth it in so many ways! Board bought; LUSH FUEL MINI CRUISER :-) Thanks!

I ordered an Arbor Bamboo drop through - its a lovely thing - almost too pretty to skate. It arrived on time, in perfect condition in a really protective box, with freebie stickers, extra bushings & a nice note from Danielle included. They look like they're a shop that really promotes & supports skating too, so it's all good. Highly recommended.

I decided to go with Vandem, as their website had lots of reviews and a personal description on all their boards and didn't just use the stock description like every other site. I could tell these guys were actual skaters and knew their stuff. Not only were they super friendly, and very helpful/knowledgeable, but their prices are really good too. Can't sing these guys praises enough. Bought all the parts to assemble a new longboard towards the end of the first lockdown and the guys at Vandem were unbelievably helpful with helping me fine tune what brands and styles to go for to get exactly what I wanted out of the parts on the board. The board rides amazing and everything Vandem recomended has done nothing but reign true. Hundreds of miles of fun so far and still so many more to come. 2 summers later I was cleaning, greasing and rebuilding my bearings and the chair I was sat on spontaneously collapsed sending the small ball bearings flying in every which direction. Called Vandem to get some advice on where to source either the ball bearings themselves or a full single bearing and they immediately dispatched a single new bearing that matched my set saving me having to buy a full new set! Stellar service, products and people. Only wish I had left my review sooner like I kept telling myself I would.

I bought my first board from these folks, at 46 years old nearly a year ago. The service was first class. I found other places to be a tad patronising truth be told, maybe because of my age, maybe because of my ability or both. Not here. They made me feel super stoked and gave me a ton of advice. I LOVE my board. They have never met me but somehow managed to recommend the right deck and set up for me. Like some kind of skate black magic voodoo, they just knew. I will absolutely use them again, well once I've recovered from my broken humerus! Hahaha! Don't hesitate to contact them.for advice and to purchase the best quality deck and set up going. At this point I feel like some kind of weird fan boy but they really are that good.

First time purchase from Vandem Longboard Shop and I'm sure it won't be my last, ordered a Landyachtz Dinghy Blunt Pinecone online and the board arrived the next day. I'm very happy with the board and the service. Looking forward to some nicer weather so I can hit the streets.

Can't recommend the shop enough to be honest. First time there to get the ever so rare orangatang dad bod in UK and i can only say, the shop is a little paradise for people into boards of all sorts and friendly, nice peeps to chat to. Wheels are on my push board but will going on Mr Pickle Eboard when i get the pulley. They roll so fast on the push board, awesomeness 😁

Dealt with Matt over email. Ace advice given and actually listened to what I was after and have loads of options and I could tell it came from experience. Not once was he pushy for a sale like another well none skate company I also emailed so it was a no brained to order from here. I have little to no knowledge when emailing and that didn’t matter or change the way I was spoken too. I work customer service myself and it was simple brilliant. Absolutely no complaints and if I need anything again, I’m coming straight back!

Vandem is next level! Having wanted to get a longboard for a few years, I finally decided it was time. After searching online, I came across Vandem. The reviews were so positive and I can now confirm why. I ordered the Lush Longboards Freebyrd Lo-Pro Woodgrain Drop-through Longboard Elite Complete after seeing that other novices had been recommend this as a starter board. The online ordering process was faultless. From ease of website use, clear item information/descriptions and helpful reviews of others who have purchased in the past. I ordered at lunchtime and it came before lunchtime the next day. It arrived well packaged (with a hand signed message on the receipt, nice touch) and the board itself is beautiful. At 39 I’ve never skated before. I’m only just starting my journey, however, Vandem will be the only shop I use after my positive experience. 3 days into my skating and I love it. I get excited to wake up each morning to take the board out for practice before work and look forward to more practice when I get home. I hope to visit the store in person one day when I need to get more skate parts and meet with the team. However, the online process and customer service means those who can’t go in person can still a positive experience online. Thanks to everyone at Vandem, you’ve really set the standard for how a company should operate. I've only used the online shop as Bristol is quite a few hours drive, but even their online shop is head & shoulders above all other skate shops. Their descriptions of items are so in-depth & helpful, and best of all, they're really honest. They'll let you know if an item is a bit rubbish or over-hyped, which reassures one that these guys are skateboarding fans first and foremost, rather than salesmen & women. Five stars well earned.

Went to Vandem in Bristol last Friday. Was such an awesome place just to go visit have a look around and talk with the guys there about longboards and cruisers. I was looking to either buy the LandYatchz Tugboat or the Dinghy Blunt. They gave me all the information I needed about the board and what’s best suited to me as I talked to them what I would be using it for. I ended up buying the Tugboat and I’m loving it! Big thanks to the guys at the shop they were super friendly, definitely will be coming again in the future!

Great place with a really helpful team. I went in with only a vague idea of what I was after and never felt rushed or under pressure. Had a really good discussion and walked away a bit later with a Hackbrett Wasser and a spare set of wheels to get sliding with. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have picked that from browsing online but am so happy with it and pleased that I took the trip into Bristol. I ordered another board online a week or so later for my daughter and, while I was at it, added some spare bushings for one of my boards. I almost immediately had a call to check I hadn't made a mistake as the bushings were too large for the board I'd ordered. You just wouldn't get that level of concern and caring about people making the right choices from most places - I wouldn't buy from anyone else.

If you're looking for a longboard then this is the place to go. These guys know their stuff and won't rip you off. Superb webshop, much better than any others with knowledgeable, self written, product details. I will only be buying from here in future 10/10 👍

Great service. It's been over 30 years since I skateboarded, but after messing around with my 14 year old sons board, I decided I wanted to give longboarding a go. Board arrived this morning and I've already been cruising and carving down some local hills. The Lush board is exactly that "Lush". Speed of delivery and service from Vandem is excellent, highly recommend.
