Swimming in a segregated and watercraft free zone and paddleboarding and kayaking in a swimmer free area. On-site SUP and kayak hire, tea, coffee, snacks and a couple of porta loos close by. Helpful and friendly staff too.

Friendly team at the site and terrific views. Although toilet facilities are basic if you just want to get there and get on the lake this is perfect. I hired gear today which was easy and well priced but will be going along with my own SUP before long

During the week, I was invited to swim up in the Cotswolds. I jumped at the chance to swim at Lake 86, somewhere I hadn't visited; I had a great time and would recommend a visit. Lake 86 is sandwiched between Swindon and Cirencester; it's easily accessible from the M4 and the M5 motorways. Check out their website for their full address. The lake has a great set-up; you can hire paddle boards, single and tandem kayaks and inflatable rafts for up to six; however, I was there for the open water swimming. The lake consists of two triangular courses set inside the other. The lake has two swimming distances, a 400m and 800m loop. I love visiting new places to swim, and the best bit for me is meeting people who share my joy of open water swimming. Although Lake 86 wasn't 'accessible for wheelchair users, with some thought and prior planning, this shouldn't stop anyone who wishes to book a swim. My advice, phone beforehand and let them know that you may require some help. That's what I did; they were happy to help me. There is also a rather lovely coffee shop, Ohana. The shop sells quality coffee, excellent cake and crepes. There's nothing better than congratulating yourself with a nice post-swim hot drink.

Easy parking, nice takeaway cafe, kayak, paddleboard and raft hire well organised. Communal changing area (by gender). Only downside is portaloos rather than loo blocks but these were well maintained. Recommend.

Took my three and a half year old daughter here this morning. Her first time on the water in a kayak. (Which she love by the way) A very easy registration process online and the staff were very helpful and gave a great safety speech beforehand. Changing area, and plenty of toilets. And a very nice snack bar. The flat white was perfect. My daughter now wants a kayak from Santa Claus 🧑‍🎄 😁 We will be back soon. Thank you.

There are toilets and changing rooms available and a small cafe for refreshments. Lovely spot for a bit of outdoor swimming and the events that they put on are great! The only improvement would be somewhere to shower off afterwards

I couldn't recommend this place highly enough. I'm a disabled single mum with 3 kids in tow, the amount of help I've had from staff and others makes this a sport I can do. Everyone is so friendly and helpful, this is truly one of my happy places. I can't wait to come back every time I leave.

Great place to paddle for a couple of hours. Well run. I bring my own board but the boards they hire look good quality and reasonably priced. Friendly staff. Great coffee/hot chocolate and I will be trying the crepes soon

Couldn't fault it. Plenty of parking, they were able to book us in at the last minute for the SUPs and the prices were very fair. Staff were super friendly with the demonstration being just the right amount of Informative but short. Had a fab hour in the lake followed by a delicious crepe and coffee at the hut. Would recommend

Great for paddleboarding, I went with 4 people in total, it was £15 each for them (I brought my own board so it was free for me) and that was for an hour session! Very nice and simple. No fuss

Tandem kayaking is so much fun! I'm quite scared of water but decided to try it anyway and I am so glad I did. It's so serene out on the lake. Would definitely give it another go, maybe on my own next time
