Absolutely stunning pool. Looks almost other worldly when caught on a bright summers day! Parking is limited and has a tiny entrance so be weary if bringing large vehicles ( although we watched a Range Rover fit through). The path to the pools is directly in the middle of the car park. There are 2 bodies of water once you follow the trail down. Less than 1km to the pools and back to your car if you just stopping to see it. Dont be put off by the first pond which is underwhelming compared to the Silent Pool itself. Continue down the path. When you reach the Silent pool there is a bridge and other reviews are correct in saying that the low path around it, to get the best views are closed now with gates. However if you take the left path going upwards you can still snake around and explore the silent pool from the other sides to get the incredible views! Husband and I went around and found another ( steep but manageable path to get down to the water). Came across another family with kids who also found a way down. Worth the scrambling for the views on a clear summers day! Recommend if you're in the area or going to Shere / Guildford. Also a longer 10km hiking trail which includes the Silent pool if you're a hiker.

One of the nicest places I've visited, the pool was so clear and you can go off and explore. They even sell their own gin, what more could you want?

The water was nice and clear, which was lovely in some parts. I also noticed loads of rubbish in the water and that was disappointing. The bar was also quite noisy. I concede that it is fine to have a bar in a good location, but it took away from the tranquility of the place. Seeing the lake from the area across from the pub was really nice.

The pond is absolutely full of weed. Its no longer that iconic blue and its no longer open for a walk around. Only the distillery and indian restaurant is open.

Sadly, water is not beautiful at all right now. If you like gin, you might as well visit Silent Pool Distillers next to it.

Its a very beautiful lake with the water being very clear. Feel a bit like another country. We went for walk but it was very quick. Not too much to see and there is an Indian restaurant, cheese place and a bar. Vineyard is right next to it so it's a pretty view

Beautiful and nice for a quick walk with children. The site is only very small but there is a hill near it that is good for picnics and longer walks.

It's nice walking around here, autumn view is pretty lovely and peaceful. It would be perfect to spend your time here with family or partner.

It was ok, a lot smaller than I imagined. Car parking is just off a super busy fast road and hardly any spaces. The trail was not open, just the Gin shop which was very small. There is an Indian restaurant on site which was very busy but we didn't eat there. I think you should pre book for that. The clear waters you could just about make out but the pond weed (if that's the correct name for it) was taking over so not much to see in March. We did purchase a plum cordial gin which was available to try, we loved it I wouldn't return but had a lovely hour or so there.

The silent pool isn't great since they redid it (ruined my childhood memories of it when I visited recently), but the walks around this area are stubbing and you can enjoy some beautiful views.

Pool is looking sad and unloved despite the success of the nearby businesses. The area is becoming very commercialised and is no longer a tranquil quiet place.

Such a gorgeous pool. The colours are just out of a palette and you can access this at no cost after a little walk from a convenient parking lot. Highly recommended after or before visiting Shere. If you are wearing comfortable shoes, go for a little trekking and enjoy the views of the vineyard and countryside.
