I have been very well treated as a student - I have provided with hands on experience which is very rare for students. The physiotherapist I shadowed was extremely helpful and I learnt an abundance from them both. I have also experienced consulting patients on phone calls - being thoroughly supported throughout. This was an extremely beneficial experience and through doing so I am also considering the pathway as a physiotherapist. I have nothing but positive thoughts about this clinic and every patient was attended to with the utmost care.

First and foremost, I highly recommend Martha to anyone who is in pain and needs physiotherapy/guidance for treatment. Last year in June, I had a very nasty injury (in a professional trampoline park) which left the top part of my tibia completely shattered (more than 250 pieces). Due to the loss of a part of the bone, doctors put me on an Ilizarov frame which covered my leg for almost 4 months locking my left knee completely. Once the top part of the frame got removed by the doctors, I got in touch with Bupa (my insurance provider) and they gave me a few references which have Martha's on the top of the list. I visited Martha with the frame still on my leg. On the first visit, she took her time to understand what has happened and what the frame will do. Right after that, she started her magic to lose all the sore muscles in my left leg. Believe me, her hands and treatment do wonders. Within 4-5 weekly sessions, with her immense efforts, I was able to drop one of my crutches. That was a really big win for a person having such a nasty fall. Soon after the complete frame was removed, followed by a break of two weeks, Martha started with different kinds of treatments for my left leg & knee. She gave me soft & hard massages for muscles, ultrasound for the knee, acupuncture for very sore & stiff muscles, and shockwave therapy. With each visit, she always checks thoroughly and then suggests which treatment is best for that day. In no time I dropped both crutches and started walking with slowly limping on the left leg. The limping caused a lot of pain and soreness in my right lower back and leg. She understood the reason and helped me with her generosity to treat the other leg and back as well just to ensure that I won't give up walking and continue to keep trying to get better and better. It has been a year since I first visited her, she has been constantly treating, encouraging, and helping me with my recovery. Now, I am able to walk almost perfectly, without limping, at a slow pace. I am confident that I will be able to recover completely with her amazing treatment and guidance. I can give only give 5 stars with this review but from the bottom of my heart, I am very thankful to her for all the help, support, & treatment she has extended to me. Thank you very much Martha!

I would like to thank Shreya for my knee. I had sessions with her in their Oxford branch. She is very polite and helpful. She is 100% professional and kind person. Shreya gave me excellent advice. Shreya has magical hands, soon after the sessions I felt major relief. I would highly recommend her expertise to everyone.

I've been seeing Martha since a few months now after a patella fracture late last year. I cannot stress enough but I have been tremendously helped with the treatment received from Martha and her team. Each and every session has been helpful and I have instantly seen results with every session. I'd like to call Martha a "magician" as she has magic in her hands and a lot of experience. There have been times when I was completely confused and needed help after my surgery & Martha has always been there to help even during out-of-hours. The entire team at Ashford Physiotherapy is extremely caring and friendly. I feel confident about their expertise & would highly recommend them.

Extremely disappointed. Allocated this physio through insurance after a car crash and was being treated at their Oxford clinic. I was suffering with usual neck, back problems but by fair the worst was a groin issue which the physio advised was a result of where the seatbelt clicks in. The physio really did not know how to treat this issue and looked at anything else BUT the groin issue. I had six treatments which should have been 30 mins and the last 3 were less than 20 minutes. I am a therapist myself and I said to the physio I feel that my pelvis is rotated from the accident. He advised on the 6th appointment that he would refer me to a 'pelvis specialist' via the insurance company. When I chased up the insurance I was shocked to find out that I had been discharged and in the notes the physio put I had this issue before the accident! Outrageous. I tried calling Ashford and left a message, I got no reply. At the start of the course of treatment I was told I would be sent rehab exercises. These were never received and when I chased them up, my messages were ignored. The physio would also test me on what muscles he was treating or what technique he was doing in my sessions. I obviously answered correctly but felt it was completely inappropriate. I'm there to be treated, not to massage his ego or be tested on my knowledge. If a physio doesn't know how to treat the issue then he should be honest an refer me to someone who does and to lie on my discharge notes is appalling. I have now sought quality therapy privately aswell as rehabilitating myself and significantly better in a short space of time. Ashford appear to be using the insurance claims as a cash cow for very questionable therapy. A disgrace. **Update: Since I left my review I received a very abrupt call from the physio in question and it was not convenient to talk at 6pm on a Friday evening as I was just about to go out. I asked him to call back the following week and he never called back. I also left a message for Martha two weeks later, who eventually called me back. She was very rude and with no customer focus in trying to resolve the matter. She said it was between me and the physio she employs and still weeks later still no contact received. This does nothing but reinforce the evidence that this company is treating these insurance claims for premium fees yet very debatable therapy. I have made Churchill insurance aware. Avoid at all costs if you want quality, customer focused therapy and actually get your injury appropriately treated.

Two years ago, I had severe problems with my back pain and it was very difficult for me to move around. After three or four sessions my back pain went back to normal and the exercises she recommends are very helpful. I must say that she has miracle hands.

Great Practice - very knowledgeable and caring people. They've always looked after me and fitted me into their schedule. Be it an emergency injury with muscle strain/tear or a routine sports massage.

Few weeks back I had severe neck sprain. It was very painful and had only limited flexibility. Martha and her staff really helped in reducing neck and shoulders stiffness. Pain was gone by second session.

I was in tremendous pain suffering from back pain and my friend recommended Martha for physiotherapy. Martha is absolutely professional, very knowledgeable. During the first session, she patiently asks about completely history and could identify the possible root causes. Martha treated me with such professionalism, compassion, competence and care. Treatment is still ongoing but I can already see great improvement in my condition. Definitely recommend this clinic to everyone.

Called Martha 9am on Saturday out of desperation as my knee locked up and I couldn’t bend it. She saw me same day and achieved 70% bend in less than an hour. Found the place on Google maps and chose it because of all the positive reviews therefore leaving mine here for others to find. Going to see Martha again and will recommend her to anyone over and over again.

I have had three sessions with Martha so far and I have to say she has helped me so very much. I have been off work for three months with back pain, sciatica, plantar fasciitis, hip pain and IT band pain. She is addressing them all and I feel if I had known about this practice before I would be back at work by now. I have waited since sept for an nhs referral. Martha is very experienced in her work. I think she has magic hands! Very strong hands too!! The deep tissue massage I received, although very sore, has 75% worked on my painful quad/IT band pain. I will be recommending Martha and her practice to anyone I come across that needs some treatment. Can’t rate her highly enough, had other practitioners before, lots of sessions, never the attention and effort made that I get from Martha. Thank you dearly Martha.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Sherya to treat a whiplash injury, and I couldn't be more impressed with the level of care and expertise she provided. From our very first session, she took the time to listen to my concerns and understand the root of the problem, and she seemed to have an intuitive understanding of exactly where the pain was coming from. Throughout the course of my treatment, Sherya was always professional, patient, and kind, which made a big difference in my overall experience. She was great at explaining the different exercises and techniques we were using, and I always felt like I was in good hands. I would highly recommend her to anyone in need of physiotherapy, and I can't thank her enough for all of her help!"

I was recommended Martha after a referral through my private medical insurance for upper back pain that I had been experiencing for several months prior. I had never had any kind of physiotherapy before, so I was a bit nervous and unsure of what I would experience. However, from the moment I met Martha, she wasted no time in identifying the issues with my back, and she got started right away. Throughout the 10 sessions I had with her, she was very professional and always honest. There were some occasions where my session was either cancelled or cut short due to urgent treatments, but Martha made sure to make it up to me every single time. 10 sessions later, my back pain has subsided, and I feel so much better. I thoroughly recommend this centre to anyone with issues that require expert treatment by an experienced physiotherapist.

Definitely recommend. I went here because of acute shoulder injury and Martha's physio had worked wonders. In just 2 sessions I could feel a considerable improvement and exercises given have also added to my recovery. Martha is very dedicated and highly proficient in her skill and also is very friendly, it's a pleasure to talk to her! Many of my friends and family have taken her treatment and have recommended me here. The clinic is a nice and warm place with an added bonus that there is plenty of free parking near the clinic.

I had a course of Physio therapy at the clinic in Oxford Cowley Road, I was involved in a nasty road accident and was in a lot of pain, I tended to go on a Saturday and was treated by a lovely lady called Divia, was very relaxing and at the end of the 8 weeks sessions my overall flexibility has significantly improved and the tension in my neck and back had improved immensely! I definitely recommend this practice for back, joint and muscle problems. Very professional and friendly too! Thankyou Divia :)

Walked in with an broken calf muscle and on crutches. Walked out in first session without crutches. After the second session I was feeling a lot better. Martha is an amazing physio as the results are speak for themselves. Been previously to mainstream physio centres but this centre works miracles.

Martha is a very experienced Physiotherapist. I met her few months back and was very concerned about my back, neck / Shoulder pain, Martha took time to explain me the problem along with resolution around it. She is very friendly too, she took extra efforts to make me comfortable during those sessions. She recommended Shock Therapy and it worked well for me. Her sessions helped me in reducing the stiffness, I am feeling much more relaxed now. I would highly recommend her. Thank you!
