Fabulous place, great sunsets and not busy. Come and try out the amazing facilities here, the staff are wonderful, my son had kayaking lessons here for 6 months and we now go kayaking around the coast of Anglesey. The prices are so reasonable and we'll definitely be hiring kayaks again ,now the weather's getting better. There's no better way to explore the Albert Dock and surrounding docks than being on the water

This should already be on your list of places to go! We've been here multiple times and with a large group of friends who came to Liverpool for the day. Liverpool watersports litterly do everything you could ever wish for. From open water swimming, kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding, water adventure course and more! You can hire a wet suit if you don't have your own or brave enough not to use one! Fantastic prices, great quality. All the staff are incredible so friendly, helpful and will have a laugh with you. Nothing is too much for them You can do open water swimming no matter what experience you have the staff will explain everything and will give you additional equipment if you wish. Everything else you get to explore Liverpool docks via water and get to see the history that's around us.

The people here were brilliant. Very welcoming and helpful. I went on one of their Pedal boats and the aqua park with a friend and had an amazing time. Do yourself a favour and visit these people for an amazing time!

We attended here as a group of 10 adults, most hiring SUPs and a couple in kayaks - I highly recommend this company. Everything went smoothly. Booking the group in over the phone with Jon was a breeze, he was very helpful and answered all the questions I had. We also hired wetsuits for all which were great, we all were given a buoyancy aid too. Changing room there are fine, you need 20p for the lockers. We had a great time and made for a memorable activity for all but most importantly our bride to be. Thank you all!

So Open water swimming. First time I thought I'd give it a go. The staff were really welcoming and helped out as much as possible. They had wetsuits and hats I could buy. The toilets and changing rooms were fine. The location is great and there's a lot of Dock to swim in. There's a ramp so you can ease yourself in without suffering the cold water. Even the swimming guys were friendly and offered tips about getting into the water. Free use of float thing. Remember to check website first as you need to register with a third party. Only two gripes, for such an awesome venue the parking is limited to about 20 places which is crazy and you don't get your 20p back from the locker which is a first and also means take a few with you incase you need to get anything out of the locker mid swim!

Brilliant time on the kayaks. Great staff who are helpful and happy to be there. 1hr in a kayak for £13 is a good price. Clean facilities. One thing to point out is you go out for an hr but unless you have a waterproof watch you have no way of knowing how long you've out for. Thanks to everyone for enthusiasm.

My friends and I tried paddle boarding last Saturday and we loved it ! Had a great afternoon. The team were really nice, the facilities were clean and following covid guidelines. We will definitely come back ! Whether you are visiting Liverpool or you live in the city, seeing the Docks from the water is a must ! Thank you guys !

Did 1 hour kayaking with kids (12 & 13) and it was great, we all enjoyed it. Wouldn't recommend for any younger kids really but it was a great set up, no nonsense, you're shown how to use the paddle and then that's it, the entire Dock is yours for an hour. Safe but exciting at the same time.

Took the nephew here to have a go at duel kayak. 100% would recommend. Get 1 hour which is plenty of time for the little ones and plenty of water to explore. We had our own wetsuits but you can hire them there. Life jackets were provided as part of the price. Staff super helpful and enthusiastic about what they do. Changing room with hot showers, lockers and loos which is just what you need. Popped in the cafe first and Greta value with nice coffee and toasties to keep you warm. Would recommend heading there a tad early as car park gets a bit full so might have to park round the corner (only 5min walk)

Kayaking in the Royal Albert Dock was one of the best things I done in Liverpool. The instructors are really friendly and make it a fuss-free experience. Once we were in our kayaks and had they had explained where we could go they left us to it. £15 for 1 hour is really good and you have plenty of time to Kayak around the dock once you get there.

Having tried the pedalo and aqua park I can thoroughly recommend Liverpool Watersports Centre. Having gone just to use the pedalo, we couldn’t resist the aquapark and for such a low price, it was incredible value. A really enjoyable set of activities for a perfect price!

Having previously attended a children’s birthday party here (& loved it) we decided to do the same for our boy on his big day. The set up is ideal, if you’re booking the Aquapark activity, you can opt to have use of the party room which is a good size for around 15 kids, with a few extra chairs and tables around the edge of room to place party items and for mums & dads to sit. The room is painted white and is an ideal blank canvas to dress up according to your theme. The large window looks out onto the water creating a nice backdrop. The staff here are all fantastic! Super knowledgeable and professional yet incredibly friendly. Mark, Bren & Alex are a brilliant team and you can tell they love their job and their environment, they feel very much ‘part of the furniture’ here, in a good way! They really elevated our experience of the centre and made us feel so welcomed and comfortable. We felt that the children were very safe under their guidance and whilst they were given all the necessary safety measures, they were also encouraged to have fun. We really appreciated being allowed to get there a little earlier to decorate the room. They opened up and left us to it but were on hand for anything we needed. We ordered pizza delivery for all the children which was a great idea pinched from the previous party we attended! For reference, we used Dominos on London Road, they have delivered here several times so they will be familiar with the set up (just a tip if you don’t fancy making food - the kids loved it). There is a cafe that occupies a space at the centre (FIKA) where, should you want to chill whilst the kids are in the water, you can get a cuppa and some cake. This place is a separate business but still feels very much a part of the centre and on each visit here, the staff have been absolutely lovely. Very friendly and helpful. There’s lots more than just the Aquapark at Liverpool Watersports Centre, including kayaking, paddle boarding, open swimming, sailing. It really is a gem of a place and worth noting that they are a charity. Be aware that the Aquapark activity goes into hibernation over the autumn and winter months, due to weather changes but call to check. All in all, we had a fantastic time and highly recommend Liverpool Watersports Centre to everyone!

Was staying locally for a gig and decided to go for a dip. Really easy to book, reasonably priced and decent location. Staff were friendly and gave a safety brief before I entered water. Highly recommend

We has the 1 hour paddle board session with Clive over the weekend for a Stag Do and it was ace. Great value for money, really good fun and well organised. Would happily go back and try one of the other activities.

Went here for my son's stag do activity. (30/7/22) What an absolute hoot! The staff were great and very helpful. They came out in a boat to keep us all safe as we wobbled along on paddle boards in the water. Most of us spent more time off the boards, having to climb back on them! Highly recommend this place, it's deal for family fun. Thank you 👍🏻👍🏻

Great spot for open water swimming. Parking can be tight in peak times but there's a pay and display down the road. Wild swimming has been introduced recently to let you just swim any time they're open.

Fantastic day with great staff making us (group of 12 girls) feel at ease with their tuition and knowledge. Absolutely loved the SUP so definitely recommend!

Paddleboarding with Liverpool SUP company was amazing. Jayne was our instructor and was great - taught us loads, put us at ease and right on the water straight away. Plenty of time to do some sightseeing and pretty unique way to explore the docks. Fell in as well once which was nice and refreshing (not too cold either). Definitely paddleboarding again!

I was a bit nervous to try this out but I’m so glad I did - the guy at reception showed me the course and told me to go at my own pace. Some people there were very fast and had all the professional gear but I had a great swim in a costume and swim cap (they ask you wear a bright one so they can see you). There are mussels growing on the walls of the dock which were nice to see - the water is relatively clear and mildly salty. The lockers are 20p although many people leave their things out - it felt like a very safe and welcoming place.

Great set of guys running it down there. The equipment in the water could have done with a little clean as had seagull poo on it but not a massive issue as washed off with the water
