The venue itself for a gig is excellent, but the bar prices - ridiculous! On a par with a football ground, it's really that bad. We were queueing for a looooong time to get in and the set up is a bit confusing but if you're not bothered about being in the mosh pit, head for the balcony - we had a great view, with no pushing or shoving.

I was here for Anne-Marie, and it was amazing 😍😍It was arranged very well. They give us water al the time, because it was so hot. The sounds were great to. So thanks for the perfect night.

Friendly staff, easy to order either at the bar or via the QR code. There was a good selection of drinks though for a student union unless you wanted cheap larger (Carling) everything else was a bit pricey.

Visited to see Kasabian play. Bar prices are expensive, and having to queue 45 minutes for the bar was awful. Won't be rushing back!

Enjoyed watching the Lathums here. Great venue with good facilities.

Excellent conference venue - we were there for the Humanists UK 2023 Convention - spacious, plenty of varied accommodation for presentations, refreshments, meeting people. My only complaint would be the small number of obscurely located toilets!

Had to visit to buy annual Greenbank student bus pass. Obviously a busy time but staff were calm, friendly and efficient.

Great small venue for music. Would recommend. Very expensive for drinks thought it would be cheaper with it being a student venue. £8 for 2 standard bottles of non-alcoholic Corona.

Great place, great gig, decent organisation, just- i think they over-booked bc not all people really fit into the main hall where the gig was. Me and my brother for example were on the side of the entrance that is just right of the stage. Still, we had fun.

I went 1st March for Bullet For My Valentine gig, supported by Atreyu and Jinjer, and it was amazing, great atmosphere, lovely people all having a great time, it was awesome!

Watched BFMV here. A good gig in an idea venue. Staff and security were good. Beer prices similar to expected, and sound quality was idea for Bullet.

Nice seating areas, including the Courtyard. They play music there which is quite loud for the daytime but not too loud to hear people speak

Went to see ocean colur scene 18th Dec 22 Band amazing ...venue awful far too many people crammed into a small hall ..felt sorry for families like myself that had taken there children .. Been before and wasn't as crammed ...definitely won't go to a gig there again

Seen a few gigs here, great atmosphere, quick bar staff. Hold about 2300 people and has a balcony area. Penny of bars too 👍

A nice quiet Starbucks. Lovely staff. The loos are a little bit of a trek, but not a major problem. Will definitely return.

Really enjoyed seeing The Rock Orchestra By Candlelight here. The only downside was the seating. My husband suffers from sciatica in both legs, so standing for long period of time is not an option. We found seating, but it was very hard and uncomfortable still sadly for my husband. Otherwise it was a great experience!

I work at the University, its a great place. I just happened to walk past and got this message. Student guild shop has great prices and subsidised for everyone. The hot food counter in the dining area is also a smasher, come in fill up and fall asleep.

Visited here for a concert - as a music venue this SU is pretty poor. The combination of a weirdly low stage and a completely level floor meant that any hopes of actually seeing the performance was a pipe dream unless you'd got there early enough to be at the front. I wish I could say I "saw" Mitski perform, but rather I saw the top of her head a couple of times. Unfortunately the audio quality towards the back of the room left a bit to be desired too. Staff I encountered were friendly, the bar had a decent selection (though expensive), and the building seemed modern and clean. Just let down by it being so poorly designed.

Excellent bar and foot. If you like the student atmosphere, you have to go. Really reasonable prices. The chicken/turkey fries are amazing.

Visited here for the Tom Grennan concert- amazing place for concerts not too big and not too small. Great layout with many view points including a mezzanine view spot. Feel close the the stage but without being squashed! We've been here for a few concert now and I'd highly recommend. Good selection of alcohol and non alcohol drinks on offer.

I went to a yungblud concert there , concert was amazing but venue is too small for the amout of people they let in , was very cramoed , could not move at all , 3 people collapsed with the heat , staff were sending water to the crowd , but we were like sardines in there , really shouldn't let that many people in such a small space

Amazing venue, went to see Antarctic Monkeys (Arctic Monoeys tribute band) and they were nothing short of spectacular. The door staff were rude allowing entry, yet the security were nothing short of amazing. Upstairs, as the night went on it got more and more hot, with no fans in sight. Not very wheelchair friendly either, would visit again but only if they purchased more fans in future. Exiting was also chaotic as there wasn’t really a ‘plan’.

(Review is for a music event). Location is great, loads of cheap parking nearby, and also really close to Lime Street Stn. Venue itself is OK-ish. Quite a low stage so if you're at the back, you won't see much unless it's a seated gig. Bar prices aren't terrible, but not cheap either. The box office opens at the same time as the main doors which is a terrible idea, meaning people who were at the front of the queue have absolutely no chance of getting a decent spot. Pro-tip: tickets for events at this venue can also be picked up from the o2 Academy Box Office on Hotham Street which is open 8.00am-5.30pm Mon-Sat and only a 10 minute walk away. Also, if it's raining, tough. There is a really long corridor inside which could be used for queuing, but this is left empty - only to become a racecourse once the main doors are open. The toilets are clean enough, although you do have to use stairs to get to them. There might be lifts but I didn't see them. Staff were friendly enough (and the event staff were very good, even handing out free Ponchos). I'm not sure if the stage equipment belonged to the band (Greta Van Fleet) or the venue, but the lighting was amazing. The sound mix wasn't great, but I've heard a lot worse, and it's always worse right at the front. Still quite impressive though. I would come to this venue again, but I wish they'd sort out the queuing system. They have the layout and potential to make it very customer friendly, not to mention two thousand people queuing outside next to a main road can't be safe.

Nice vibe for students, would recommend a burrito, but a little costly at over £5

Went to a gig there, it is a very clean and refurbished area, great facilities, start are great as is service, basic student facilities but a fantastic venue for gigs.
