What an excellent tour. John Joyce was our guide & I can’t give him enough props. He took our interests & worked around that with our tour of Liverpool, from Peeky Blinders to the Beatles to soccer. He was super friendly, informative & a lifelong Liverpool resident, so he knows this city in & out. I highly recommend John & Fab Four Taxi Tours.

Had the most amazing time with Fab 4 Taxi Tours. Our driver Peter was fantastic - his knowledge of the city as well as The Beatles story just made the tour a very special and unforgettable experience. We had the opportunity to take photos at various locations and spent some time at Strawberry Field. I cannot recommend enough. Thank You

We had a great day with John our driver in Maxwell’s Silver Hammer van. I had taken Fab four taxi tours 5 years prior and loved it so this time I wanted to share the experience with my younger son and husband who couldn’t come to Liverpool last time. Fab Four taxi tour drivers have all the info, tell stories and show pictures from old days. Our driver took pictures of us at all the spots! I would highly recommend Fab Four Taxi Tours!

Fab 4 Taxi Tours are an excellent way to get an understanding of the Beatles beginnings in Liverpool. Our host Peter is truly a Liverpool native, with family links to the boys, providing ‘insider’ tales full of intrigue. Despite many years running the tour, Peter was extremely attentive, patient, bubbly and generous with his time. Pete adds a Beatles soundtrack to add to the experience, and even made a few extra stops for us. Great tour, highly recommend.

The Fab 4 Taxi Tours - Where do I begin? I booked my tour with them about 10 months before my trip to Liverpool. At that time they were running a promotion in conjunction with the owners of the George Harrison Childhood Home in Speke where, if you took a tour on a Wednesday, you would be able to tour the inside of the home. My daughter is a HUGE George Harrison fan so I didn’t hesitate to book it. Unfortunately, things changed and, when working out the details of my trip to Liverpool, I discovered that this option to tour the home was no longer offered. I did reach out to the staff at Fab 4 Taxi Tours as well as the owners of the George Harrison home and they worked with me and was able to make it possible for us to tour the home. We were picked up at our hotel (Hard Day’s Night Hotel) by Peter in a cool looking and very clean black taxi. Peter showed us around the Dingle where Ringo was born and raised, up Penny Lane, by Sefton Park and over to Speke Hall to pick up the National Trust Tour of the childhood homes of John and Paul (separate review can be found under their page). When the tour was over, Peter was waiting for us at Speke Hall to continue our tour. The highlight of the day for my daughter was, of course, being able to tour George’s childhood home. She was over the moon! She got to strum the guitar in the living room and even Peter had a go at it too! From there, Peter took us to George’s former home at Mackett’s Lane as well as Strawberry Field to show us the famous gates as well as the new bandstand that was just opened up the month before. After stopping off at the first flat that John lived in as a baby, Peter took us back to our hotel. Speaking of Peter - he was extremely knowledgeable about all things Beatles and Liverpool. He played Beatles music for us and he was extremely engaging and fun! He also was more than happy to take photos of my daughter and I at all the places we stopped off at. Overall, I was extremely happy with our very personalized tour of the Beatles’ Liverpool. And I would be remiss if I didn’t thank Anne Donnelly for helping make my daughter’s dream to see the inside of George’s home a reality! If you have 5 hours that you can spare, please book yourself a Fab Four Taxi tour. Our tour was a long one but they have shorter ones as well. The experience is well worth it!

One of the best memories of our trip to the UK will be our Fab4taxi tour with Peter on June 2, 2023. He was very entertaining and his tour was like visiting Liverpool with an old friend. We would recommend Fab4 to everyone interested in Beatles history and hope we can book a future tour with Peter again. Frank and Nancy Paschal

Did this tour for (the second time) with my family this week, and I'll definitely go again when I'm next in Liverpool. The tour lasted about 3 hours so is excellent value for money, and our tour guide, Dave, was very informative and engaging, and thoroughly answered any extra questions our group had for him. I have been a Beatles fan as long as I can remember, and I learned some new things! There are several photo stops on the tour, so you aren't just seeing the sights from the taxi, you walk around and see the houses and significant sites, and there are also bathroom breaks along the way.

Wow! Tony was amazing. We would probably call ourselves moderate Beatles fans but wanted this experience as part of our Liverpool stay and I have to say that this tour was worth every penny. Tony's been doing this a long time, has such an extensive knowledge of the Beatles and the interesting anecdotes behind their lives and their music which gave us a whole new appreciation for how this iconic band came to be. All the stories and photos he shared made the experience personal and I think so much better than the basic bus tour version where one would experience everything through the window only. Thank you Tony, amazing!! Michael and Brenda from Canada

Our guide, Jay was terrific and shared a wealth of information about the Beatles, as well as, the history of Liverpool. Picked us up at our hotel, called each of us by our names throughout the day and was an absolute joy. I made an error when I originally booked online. The company reached out TO ME and immediately refunded my overpayment and got me properly scheduled. Highly recommend this company and our new mate, Jay.

We had a fabulous time with host Peter who shared the early history of the 4 boys, taking us around to see their homes and their early haunts. I loved riding down Penny Lane with the music playing and seeing the reality of places that probably inspired it. Strawberry Field was wonderful and moving. I highly recommend this tour and will come back to Liverpool because of them. Superb!

An excellent tour. Our guide, Peter, was quite knowledgeable not only about the many Beatles-related stops but about the area and musical mechanics as well (as a fellow musician). I took my mother for her 71st birthday (she is a lifelong Beatles fan), and Peter remembered that detail I included in my initial inquiry several weeks prior. I can't recommend Fab4, or Peter directly, more highly.

The tour was great! Robert took us to some places a bit off the beaten path, had many great stories to tell, and the 3 hour duration was absolutely perfect for our tour. He arrived amearlyvat our puck up spot and dropped us off at the Lime Street station and couldn't have been more accommodating and informative. Excellent photographer as well!

Fab 4 Taxi Tours was so much more than we expected! We were picked up at the port by our amazing tour guide, Steven and just like that-we felt as though we had made a friend. His passion and knowledge for all that is Beatles is evident. We covered each of the Fab Four individually from their childhood to the point of their meeting and beyond. Our Magical Mystery Tour was extremely comfortable in Steven’s Taxi - visiting all the various points of interest while listening to Beatle’s tunes. Steven had wonderful photos incorporated on the tour that reinforced the history of each stop. He helped us with the perfect poses for spectacular photo opportunities throughout. I can’t say enough how awesome this tour with Steven was. He clearly loves what he does. Maybe I would rename the tour- The Fab 5…John, Paul, George, Ringo & Steve

Peter was our guide & he was really knowledgeable about not only Beatles history, but history of the entire city. He was very accommodating with the pick-up/drop-off locations, was a safe driver, & courteous guide. I would highly recommend especially if you are on a time crunch - we saw 3x as much as the hop on/off bus.

We had a fantastic Beatles tour of Liverpool with Steve! We flew in from New York and he picked us up from the airport and we went right into the tour. We stopped at a number of different spots around the city, including strawberry fields, penny lane, each of their childhood houses, and plenty in between. Steve was a lot of fun and was very passionate and knowledgeable about the Beatles. Lots of fun!

From Robert Jones: saw the Beatles play twice in Chicago - 65 and 66 - and I’ve been a bit of a Beatles nut almost my entire life. I’ve wanted to visit Liverpool for a long time! Phil was our guide and he couldn’t have been better. His knowledge, passion and love for The Boys (and for Liverpool) made the tour really special. I won’t mention the most excellent thing that happened on our tour, so as not to put pressure on Phil to produce that kind of magic again! Seeing the shops and roundabout at Penny Lane, the place where John and Paul first met, and Eleanor Rigby’s grave were all outstanding experiences that sent shivers up my spine. The only place not included in the tour that I strongly suggest to other Beatles nuts is Ye Cracke, very easily visited on your own and well worth it. If you’re lucky enough to stay at the Hope Street Hotel, it’s a two minute walk (as are John’s art school and the wonderful sculpture “A Case History”). And, by the way, Liverpool is a great place to visit!

The Fab Four tour was great and Peter’s knowledge and personal connection with the Beatles made it even better. Learning so much including what Yoko has done for Liverpool. I highly recommend The Fab Four tour as a must do if in Liverpool.

Absolutely Fantastic!! Our tour guide John was just brilliant from start to finish. He was so kind and friendly, very funny and was such great company. John made the tour extra special for my family. My mom loves dolls houses and before the end of the tour John visted a lovely dolls house shop just outside the city especially for my mom. We were just blown away by the tour, John's knowledge of The Beatles was amazing and he took pictures of our group at every single location. I couldn't recommend Fab 4 Taxi Tours highly enough and I would especially recommend requesting a tour from John Howard if possible. A gentleman who made a special memory for my family's trip to Liverpool City. Thank you John.

We booked this tour because of the excellent reviews, and it did not disappoint! John Holmes had a wealth of knowledge and made the tour interesting and fun---so much better than being on a large bus with alot of people. We were dropped at the Beatles Museum after and were able to do that--all added on to our reservation and paid at one time. We can't say enough about the Fab 4 Taxi Tour group!!

We were in London on vacation and took the train to Liverpool for the day. Our host, Peter, met us at the train station and dropped us off after our tour. Peter was very friendly, knowledgeable, and provided wonderful insight to the early Beatles. Thanks to Peter, our tour was amazing and even better than we expected.

Ed and I greatly enjoyed our Beatles tour, led by Jay. Jay was a fun, informative host, sharing some great backstory details and facts. The weather was great and we loved seeing all of the sights throughout this beautiful city. We also enjoyed a great meal at one of Jay’s favorite restaurants. Thank you for the recommendation! Fantastic memories! Thank you!

our tour guide for Fab 4 Taxi Tours was Dave and “Martha” and the 4 of us all OAP’ s agreed that Dave was most excellent, his knowledge of the Beatles was outstanding. He treated us to a running commentary throughout the journey with music from the Beatles as well.We visited all the well known hotspots with plenty of time for photos and a very informative talk on all aspects of the early life of the “ Fab Four “. We all highly recommend Dave and his Taxi Martha for this 3 hour tour which finished up a 4 hour tour.

An amazing day with an amazing guide. John Howard picked us up on time and was extremely knowledgeable and accommodating. He took his time explaining and showing us all the key sights on the tour and was really entertaining. I would recommend this tour to anyone wishing to indulge in the Beatles story. It’s the only way to do it.

The Private 3-Hour Guided Beatles Classic Tour of Liverpool is a must add to your bucket list. Tony was our Guide/Driver. He was extremely knowable with all the 4 Fab history and current status of Paul and Ringo. Always willing to take photos of the significant locations etc. This tour is a definite 5-star rating…

The Fab Four Taxi Tour in Liverpool is the only way to go for hard-core Beatles fans. Our guide, John H made this stay in Liverpool most memorable. What an experience being in the places that magically gave birth to the Beatles. John wove each of their stories together with meticulous detail bringing to life the lyrics and stories we’ve listened to over the decades. We couldn’t help but feel the humor of the boys in our guide’s anecdotes and snippets. From John’s childhood home to nearby Strawberry Fields, location of the orphanage where John romped and was warned by Aunt Mimi that he would “get hung about”, to the bus line where George, 12, and Paul, 13 met, and to St. Peter’s church where Paul was invited to join John’s band, The Quarrymen. You’ll come away with insight into the joys and struggles of John and Paul in their youths and connections to the people and places in Penny Lane, the barbershop, the banker man who never wears a Mac in the pouring rain, and the pretty nurse selling poppies behind the shelter in the middle of the roundabout. While visiting Ringo’s colorful neighborhood and the home of his birth, you’ll hear details of how he emerged from serious childhood illnesses and absences from school, having been introduced to percussion in the sanatorium during his two-year recovery from tuberculosis, to serendipitously become the quintessential drummer for the Beatles. It was all exquisitely woven together on this private taxi tour. Thank you so much John. Cheryl, Cal, Brenda, and Diane

Peter was absolutely fantastic. Genuinely nice chap who had a passion for all things Beatles and Mersybeat. Fountain of knowledge through and through. More than happy to accommodate pictures and time to see the sights. 5* for Peter! From Alan, Lorraine, Alex and Mollie

We had a WONDERFUL DAY with Tony Baker! We went on a Liverpool City Tour and then a Beatles Tour after that. We saw the city sights, the Anglican Cathedral, Liverpool Football Club Stadium, as well as all the Beatles sites. Tony is very knowledgeable, very accommodating, and very interested in making sure that you get the most out of your tour!! We couldn’t have asked for a better tour guide in Liverpool!! Thanks Tony for making our day special!!

So much fun! And so much nicer than a crowded bus tour in a pandemic. Private taxi is clean, comfortable, if you have mobility issues it’s easy to get in and out. Tour guide was such a nice guy, who knew so much about the history of the Beatles. Very friendly and personable. Literally nothing could make this tour better. Seeing the homes of the Beatles and hearing about their lives as young lads was really cool. I have such great memories of hearing strawberry fields on my moms 8 track machine- seeing the real strawberry fields in person was really cool. ❤️

We had an amazing experience with Fab 4 and can't recommend them enough! They were well organized, quick to communicate and very flexible to what we were interested in. The tours are a must for any Beatles fans, and they give more than enough time to really get immersed in the Beatles experience, while also seeing Liverpool. Our guide, Jimmy, was fantastic and when he heard about my Dad's love for Liverpool FC, arranged a few special surprise sights for him to see along the way - without sacrificing any time from the Beatles portion. It was clear that his first priority was making this a meaningful experience for us - and it was. We went with the 9-5 tour which is well worth it. Thanks Jimmy - we loved it!

I won't mention the singing because he told us not to. Our guide was polite and informative. Surprisingly our visit to CCC was one of our favorite parts! It was amazing to see "all the sites" and walk where the Beatles walked and just immerse ourselves in this piece of history! We took the 8-hour tour and, honestly it could have been done in less time. I don't want to say anything negative about our guide but I would suggest not playing Buddy Holly, the Everly Brothers and Stars on 45... also broaden the amount of Beatles music... how do you not have Revolver?

This was my third Fab Four Tour when hosting friends on their visits to Liverpool. This one did not disappoint. They have all been excellent. Phil was really great with his knowledge and delivery. Kind and patient with the disabled member of our group. What more can I say? Fab Four will definitely be on the agenda when my next visitors come to Liverpool! Thanks. Peter

Brilliant taxi tour from our guide Peter. He really made the tour. Very friendly and informative. Loved hearing all about the background to the beatles music, and his local knowledge of Liverpool, answering the many questions we had! The best thing we did in Liverpool and it was a memorable trip! Hopefully be back in your wonderful city soon! Thank you!!

Went on the tour 27/09/20/ The Driver (Jimmy) was very knowledgeable and friendly. He was happy to take group photos and gave us plenty of time to take our own. An added bonus for us was we got to see a replica of Lennons Rolls Royce. Also the new Lennon statue. All in all we loved it and the sun was shining too. Thanks Fab 4 Taxi Tours.

Fabulous. Our tour guide was Jay. Very knowledgeable. We didn't get off to a very good start...the taxi broke down. Lol. Only us, on the 13th. Soon fixed though and off we went. If you get chance do it. Lots of photo opportunities a great way to see Liverpool too.

Steve was our tour guide. I cannot speak highly enough about him, his passion for Liverpool and the Beatles was amazing and it made this tour excellent. My children (7 and 10 years old) were made to feel part of it all the way through (even got sweeties from Penny Lane) and Steve won’t know this but they have asked so many questions about the Beatles since the tour having not shown much interest before it. I want to say more about what we did on the tour but that would ruin it for all those that follow. We saw so much that I would never have known about, Steve’s stories were excellent and I left feeling like we barely scratched the surface. Amazing experience and I will be back again soon to do it all again. Thanks Steve✌🏻

Phil collected us on time and from the moment he started the tour it was brilliant. The guided tour provides so much information about the beatles we didn't already know. Phil also told us about other locations near by which has been amazing. Would highly recommend.
